I clearly said (for a person that has the ability to grasp it ) that there are always people who will stay with a party no matter what happens. Biden is coming close to that, “I don’t care if my president is a child molester and sells secrets to the Russians, I will not vote against him” level. Trump never came close. In fact in 2016 he got 63 million votes and in 2020 he got 81 million votes. 30% more people voted for him in his reelection bid. So…… nobody else has a clue what you’re talking about when you say yeah but you voted for Trump. Except for nasty tweets that apparently hurts the sensibilities of people on the left, Trump has done very little that I disagree with. Except for having crude tweets and having an R by his name, a lot of Democrats would have had no problem with her either. When it comes to Biden, he has lost half of its own base. As far as Trump, the usually leaning blue state of Virginia just used him as their talking point causing the Republicans to win every state wide office and the first governorship for 12 years. To answer all the questions…. I did not start any type of rumor. I basically said, with all the pissing and moaning, I’m not exactly a BF lover, but if you for one instance think a Joe Dale Cary type could come in, if Bf ever left and do what BF has done, you are absolutely out of your mind. Y’all definitely won’t be making it to the title game. According to BigDog nobody in this district is making it past the third round. He was pretty spot on in his assessment last year when three consecutive weeks he predicted that Crosby wouldn’t make it out of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th rounds and that we were average.

Alright I'm Sold BH wins by 21. I don't think that district up north is very good, I think they have one team with a good offense and a bunch of teams with solid defenses but they haven't seen anything like the offenses in 12-5A. This is a great matchup for the Eagles because they don't need shoot out numbers to win. The only thing BH needs to do is stop watching their game tape from last week on repeat and make sure they are ready for Consolidated. Cannot look back to your awesome win or forward to your potential revenge game against your rival. Have to be in the moment, if the Eagles are they cruise to victory.

Guys like this who do 10X more than what is required in their job description is one of the reasons why I love THSF so f’n much. If y’all have seen my posts over the last decade you’ll easily get the sense that I cheer for the underdog for reasons a lot of the people on this board take for granted. The kids that go to BH and PNG will be fine regardless of how football works out for the most part. Well, that’s not the case for the kids at Vidor, PAM, BU and to a good extent Crosby. Coach Bear(as we called him at Crosby) was our DC when I was in high school and the guy directly responsible for getting people in the right positions and ultimately allowing them to maximize their potential and play at the next level, regardless of our overall team performance. I’m biased but two of my classmates who played for him and were in these type “football got me out” situations were Johnathan Bradley who was the reason I transferred to Texas A&M-Commerce after getting kicked out of South Dakota State and my cousin Stephen LaSalle who’s now the head freshman coach at North Shore. They’re both doing very well because of those degrees football got them that they probably wouldn’t have had otherwise. We sucked my senior year but Coach Bear put together what was probably the nastiest defense in the district and got multiple guys to college despite the record. He’ll never know how he’s appreciated at our beer drinking sessions where we get together and lie about what we did in high school but I’m here to tell him he is.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The larger East Texas schools have gone the route a bunch of the Golden Triangle teams have in the sense that they just don’t have the talent they did 15-20 years ago due to population shifts. One of our players’ mom is from Dangerfield. After the game she came up to me and said, “Dang, we might have to play Marshall now. For those that have been following: (Please continue to pray and give the glory and success of Ben’s condition to God) 11/14/2021 What a beautiful sunny Sunday in Texas. Ben’s 24th floor room and windows look out over NRG stadium and the iconic Astrodome. Today is Ben’s 46th day at Texas Children’s and he is slowly improving. We have come a long way in 46 days. Ben’s multi-system organ failure had him as close to death without touching it as one can be. Drs have shared that upon arrival, if Ben’s condition was a medical test question, the answer would have been one sentence, “not compatible with sustaining life.” Ben has outlasted the ECMO, ventilators, 10 plus surgeries, reduced IVs from 20+ down to 4-5, chest tubes/drains reduced from 8 to 1. And today he is alert, awake and last night had 4 phone calls with friends. 4 Weeks in an ICU bed without movement zaps ALL your strength. After starting and stopping and starting Phys Therapy (PT) over the last two weeks, Ben is already recovering a lot of strength and is progressing. In spite of hundreds of tests looking for the origin of Ben’s illness, it has not and probably will never be determined. Tissue samples were sent all over the country to specialists and yet no identification has occurred. Many, many diseases and viruses were ruled out, including that the origin did NOT have anything to do with COVID or the associated vaccines. Likely what strange bug that sent his immune response into overdrive was killed in the first 10 days of his illness, leaving his exaggerated immune response to continue. Drs see Ben’s originating disease as a one in a million+ chance of happening. Whatever it was (viral, bacterial, food borne, toxic algae, or tick bite) does not change how he is being treated at this point. Albeit, it would be nice to have some disease name to be pissed at. As you know, Ben’s legs were amputated just above the knees two weeks agosto result of prolonged profound shock and compartment syndrome. A decision not easily come to, but one at the time necessary to save his life. He is progressing well and Rehabilitation Drs have already been consulted to get Ben back up and running when he is well, including temporary prosthetics as soon as he is strong enough. Challenges remain that keep him in very serious condition, such as antibiotic resistant infections, and getting his stomach/intestines back working. This is a very delicate thing when a gut has not worked for over a month. Getting the gut working is key to getting the rest of his organs ( liver, kidneys) functioning normally. This is a priority, but a very slow process! As Cardiac Surgeon Hickey told us early on, this will not be a day to day thing, it’s a week to week thing. He was so right, two steps forward, one back. And this journey will take a long time. Although Ben has fought the ICU delirium, he is much better. His speech has gotten stronger the last week. Ben remains in very serious condition, but everyday he gets a little stronger. Ben smiles, jokes and is dealing with losing his lower legs bravely. He recognizes the instant battle he is in and the longer term battle ahead. Our hope and unrealistic expectations for recovery are fast, but in reality this will take a while (general healing and then rehabilitation). Week to week, Ben has made incredible progress, some people here and in Beaumont, call it a miracle. They are right! Ben recognizes he must keep up the fight with a goal of being back at UT and scuba diving this time next year! Sometimes that is hard when you see how sick he is, but he never wavers when asked to make an effort to get better. Lastly, Ben’s strength and ours is derived from you, our beloved friends, family, Drs and nurses, that fight for Ben every day. Prayers work with God’s actions through these Drs and nurses hands. Last night Ben had 4 phone calls and talked with his buddies about food, College, football, and he also told his awesome buddies “I love you.” Something, weeks ago, we worried he would never do again. Now he is sitting on the side of the bed with help and working to get stronger. And he told the Orthopedic Surgeon (when she told him his stumps looked very healthy) “ then get me a wheel chair and roll me out of here.” As I write this the roller coaster continues, his infection attempts to make him more sick and his fever spikes. We don’t panic any more, we just deal with it. But compared to 4 weeks ago (relating to his favorite toy as a kid, character Buzz Lightyear”) we are light years from where were! Ben’s body continues to heal and he continues to be strong. Your love, care outreach, gifts have supplied us with incredible energy and continue to help Ben heal. As one of his Orthopedic Drs told him “ You are going to have incredible story to tell some day!” “To infinity and beyond!” Thank you and Love to All from the Featherstons

It would be amazing, but of course unlikely. Every game is winnable for our teams in the 2nd round, but I don’t think anyone but Crosby is a favorite. I’d say TC and PNG can be argued have toss-up games depending on which version of Tc and PNG show up. Bh has the tallest order, but that was true last week too. And when Bh is playing well, they have GREAT pieces in place to go head to head with most teams. PNG has to play better on defense and the png QB has to make good decisions and protect the ball more consistently. It can be done, but I’m not holding my breath.

Well that makes me feel pretty old now, thanks. Coach Lefort in his early coaching days at Vidor helped shape me into the man I am today. He wasn't even my position coach, but he always had time to talk when I needed him. Good man. Will always have positive things to say about him.
