Your previous post was talking about points and offense they’ve put up. This year they are 4-4 scoring 182 points and giving up 194. Last year they were 5-3 and scored 207 and gave up 128. One of those wins was a forfeit to Sabine pass. So let’s say they were 4-3. so the points per game was higher. was the community support for day nonexistent from day one?

I read an interview with Adrian Peterson... He was in Palestine right after CT left. He mentioned that CT had kinda said that kids in Palestine couldn't handle the "Mustang Way" and that had a big impact on pushing Peterson to achieve. It's tough, man... kids have to be compliant with the program and if the kids have never been compliant (and possibly have non-compliant role models around the house), it's hard to coach 'em up. But you're right... winning fixes lots of that stuff.

For whatever it's worth, there are several middle class families that attend BU. I'd venture to say it's about even at WB. Believe it or not, many middle class families just refuse to move or live in the west end. I personally know MANY of those families personally. So I'm not buying that wealthy thing too much...

Well, anything can happen. Jakobi Holland will be back for this game, which helps the running game. But, we've got to get Anderson more involved on the offense. The only chance Brook has is to simply outscore NS. I know, I know, it sounds crazy. But, our defense will not keep them from scoring. So, we've got to throw the whole kitchen at them, on offense, and hope we bust some big plays for scores.

I see what you're saying. Ozen, Central, and United has dominated WB in basketball, but no one dismisses football. People on this side of town actually care about winning and beating them. Apparently, more emphasis is placed in football on the West End.

Maybe they’re more interested in basketball on that side of town. I don’t know for sure but I don’t think WB could compete with the Ozens and Centrals or United so it’s probably not an athleticism problem.

Fine we’ll take LCM, BC and Lumberton next year. It would be nice to have some rivals that we can beat year in and year out. This will probably be our last time playing Ned in district so you can have them all to yourselves. Same goes for PNG like you said, it’s time to move on. I’ll take DC chances and playoff runs over faux rivalries anyway.

Seems to me like there might be an upperclassmen or two getting to play this year that didn't for the previous coach. We'll see how much "community support" they continue having after a loss to Lovelady this week, a butt kicking by Grapeland next week, and then a total embarrassment by Mart the week after. And then after all of the seniors graduate when the coach heads for greener pastures.

Keep waiting on these High School coaches to let your kid know colleges are interested. 1st thing they ask those kids when they sign up for a camp is list your Height, Weight and list all your social media links. Not who is your head coach and what's his number so we can talk to him

Have the fans in Anahuac committed to supporting their kids? Do they fill the stands on Friday nigjts when they travel? Do they fill that beautiful home stadium? Do they even join the booster club? The answer is NO! NO! NO! and NO! This is the finest group of young people that have ever played football, been cheerleaders, played in the band, played volleyball, managers, filmed, trainers, mascots, dancers, worked concession stands, sold programs, ect. They deserve our support. The crowds that come to support our kids are terrible. Do you love your kids? Love is an action word; can we see a little action. Friday night is a good opportunity to evangelize. Most of the churches in Anahuac could use a revival. What is your excuse? This Friday night their is a football game; show what kind of family member, neighbor, church member, you are. Now, that you have been given a special invitation; I look to see your face in the place. Our youth need you!!!!!!!!

Wouldn’t be much of a problem with 7 Dist games afterwards to see all those shotgun types. Have to say, it will seem strange for Vidor to not be in Dist with the Mid-County teams, if they do drop.

Started a true 5 Guard lineup but all of them could defend. Jalin Hart and Brandon Etienne, who both knew how to put the ball in the basket, rounded out the starting 5 with the guys you listed above. Brandon Green used to show up to AAU practices with a weight vest on under his hoodie. Wasn’t fun being guarded by him.

Coach Lou was a coach at WB when I played. He was QB coach back then and was respected. At some point, folks need to look at kids as maybe not being as great as what thier parents think they are. Everybody hopping on WB like it's thier fault that Central, later Ozen, and now United aren't doing well? Come on, maybe kids aren't as good as what y'all think? Coach that left WOS was successful with WOS, Clayton and Lou we're good coaches at WB, now since it was Central, Ozen, or United, all of a sudden they can't coach? There's more to it.

The new coach inherited a group of mostly upperclassmen. You can dislike a guy all you want, but to discredit what he did for the kids while he was there is just showing ignorance mixed with being butthurt. If the current coach is some guru, then WH will go farther than 1 and done in the playoffs.

Coach Foster at Big Sandy deserves some credit. He always seems to get the most out of the group he has, and is never afraid to play up in competition.

He doesn't have the rings like most of the list above, but Chris Pennington at Barbers Hill is a pretty good coach. 4-1 vs Nederland and Memorial last year.

Yates is loaded for bear this year. They will be handing out 100 pieces like Oprah. You get 100 and you get a 100.

Good enough to win district and make regional tournament. Now will they accomplish that? We will see.

Woodville not being preseason #1 is a farce. They return 4 of 5 starters and 11 of 12 varsity players from a state runner up team. HJ should be #2 Silsbee is not a top 10 team.
