You’ve literally said the same thing three times. By college type players are you talking about D3? NAIA? You’re severely overstating the quality of players and talent going through HJ. What HJ does is build good players, but they’re not overrun with college ready athletes like you keep saying.

My situation exactly. Were I less than 60, I’d never gotten it, but 75 & other health problems, I figured I’d be a guiena pig. Haven’t caught Covid yet. Did they put a tracker or inanimate object in me? Not that I know of, but when I walk by an ATM machine a $20 bill pops out. 😂😂😂

I think you have a personal problem with Coach Davis. Nobody said he’s the best coach in the area but if underachieving is wining 20 game and making the playoffs ever year that’s crazy. That’s tuff to do at any school. Give credit where credit is due no matter what think of the dude. We are beating a dead horse so let just move on. Who we gonna talk about next?

Clay has consistently won 25 games while playing a tough schedule. He lost one game to a great Tiger team when Cartwright hit a 3 at the buzzer. He lost another to the same Tiger club at HJ by 3. If you charted the talent of each club these games probably shouldn’t be close. Give the guy his due. He’s successful year in and year out.

What is your point ? Every school has move ins. He does a great job with the kids he has. Like him or not Coach Davis does a great job and should be on this list.

Some of these players come from absolutely nothing, but their football skills allow them to play in the NFL and make more money in one year than i can make in 10 lifetimes. They all know the risks going in, even the white ones. They accept the risks and play for $millions. Then they cry about oppression and disrespect the country that gave them this opportunity. Even you should be able to see the irony here, but you keep playing that victim card and it is useless for this debate. No one is holding a gun at their head to play. There are medical specialists on the sidelines to address their injuries and mental health. I guess they need to hire butt-hurt specialists as well.

Sorry LB, I watched the video. Nothing in that video says Trump is a racist. A woman had been raped and beaten. Whoever did it needed to die, imo. The fact that he doesn’t like men that rape and beat women does not make him a racist. Use just a little common sense. As pointed out above, even Kamala said Biden’s a racist. So do you think he is, or has Kamala, like you, made a wrong judgement?

I agree with your assessment. Not crazy about this move at all. But college athletics, like much in life, is about the money.

Our family physician recommended my wife and I get the shot. We are reconsidering. She recommended Maderna.

As of now it’s hard to trust anybody political...and that includes media, journalists, cdc, who, etc etc. Could this be an attempt to take freedoms away again in those states that gave freedom back......because we all know freedom is an enemy to those in power. I said last season that it may have been Boutte’s best coaching job (same with Foster at BS). Both did way more than they should have with the talent they had. Boutte is most definitely still on top of his game.

That’s good information. I was vaccinated, but I told my 3 kids not to get it. All are young and healthy. I was more at risk due to some health based issues.

They said going in that some people would still get it after being vaccinated. It prevents it in the vast majority of people, and greatly reduces the symptoms for most of those who do get it despite being vaccinated. People can question “future side effects” if they want, but it’s unarguable that the shot is incredibly effective in fighting Covid.

I think “racist” and “prejudiced” are interchanged when they shouldn’t be. I think everyone is prejudiced to a degree. I don’t think near as many people are actually racist. Probably very few.

I just got off of the phone with Coach Hodges and he is indeed stepping down as both head football coach and athletic director. He will be taking a job as a position coach at Odessa Permian High School. Coach told me that that this move has absolutely nothing to do with anything regarding Hull-Daisetta. He has loved his time there and promises that this year's team will be an extremely competitive group. In fact, he promised the superintendent that he would stay to supervise S&C workouts until a new coach comes aboard to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. Coach informed me that family reasons dictated this move. Both his daughter and his son will be attending college in West Texas and he had been searching for opportunities for a while to coach in that area in order to be close to them. Plus, as a having grown up in Boerne and gone to college at Angelo State, he always considered that part of the state home. Another benefit he stated is that as position coach, he will not be behind an administrative desk as much which he admitted had been a bit of a grind. Good luck at a very storied program, Coach!
