Playoffs Area Round A&M Consolidated vs Port Arthur Memorial Predictions/Friday, 7pm Deer Park

So I read this last night and this morning went and watched AMC tapes. I needed to get familiar with the game I’m attending and what to be watching for. Their running back had great vision got north and south and runs through tackles but his speed wasn’t eye popping. They had a couple big lineman but they don’t seem to finish blocks very well, which with PA speed and hard nose tackling I see a lot of 3rd and long situations coming in and that’s what you want to get after the QB… especially with their better passing QB out. Just gotta gang tackle and fly to the ball, which seems like PA has done this all year. More I watch and see video of them, If PA can get off to fast start this game could get ugly quickly… Speed kills Friday night. Titans skin the Tigers

TABC State Rankings/Updated Nov. 17
Kowboy98 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
After watching the defending state champs in person last weekend, it’s no way on earth there are 4 better teams in class 5A. This team has an enhanced/ upgraded roster from a team that truly went 39-1 last year (that forfeit was a joke) I’d say the GASO poll is off also. My top 5 teams in order are: 1A- BWB 1B- BU 3-Birdville 4- Frisco Heritage 5-CC Veterans Memorial 🤣🤣🏁 -
Agree. But, Weiss is the most dangerous for most teams with that passing attack. They can run the ball pretty well also when you have to focus so much on the pass. If I were a coach, I’d rather play CS than Weiss right now. Playing a 70% passer in a prolific pass O isn’t a good recipe for most secondaries. (LP should have taken Weiss out. Staff let the boys down. Embarrassing to say the least.)

Dominating? Dominating what?

9-5A vs 12-5A DI

College Station is playing the best right now I believe out of the whole 12-5A group. I watched their game versus Weiss and they looked totally different from the early part of the season.
-
I watched that game. Anderson sat quite a few starters. I didn’t think they would because of trying to keep their undefeated record. But, they did. Right now, the two most dangerous 12-5A teams are CS and Weiss. Your comparison of AMC to WB is fairly accurate IMHO as far as play style. But, AMC is much better. Anderson has a solid D and an adequate O. Anderson—even as the 1 seed is—IMHO—the weaker of the group.

They said "great" 🤣

I disagree plano east had one guy around 6’6” that has a zion Williamson type body. He was good but too small to match up with the multiple bigs at FF. Yes they had some solid guards, but I don’t think that would be enough lake highlands had Tre Johnson. BU battled them very closely. Yes they had 1 guy 6’9”, but not multiple guys (3 or 4) around his same height as FF did. I still give FF the slight edge That would have been a good game with Ron Holland and Anthony Black. I agree D’Ville would’ve likely bested them that year. However this is just different three years. And as I mentioned, they would have at least got two ships in 6A during their tenure in the University Interscholastic League.

I’m not sure who you’re here supporting, because I don’t ever see you doing anything but say negative things about other teams. BC is a great program, we’ve got the hardware to prove it. We just haven’t always played up to our potential. The thing about haters is this… they’re always gonna find a way to minimize your accomplishments. The same people who are complaining about us “running from competition” (even though we KNEW the D1 playoffs would be tougher) will complain again next year whether we stay D1 or are forced down to D2, especially if we keep dominating.

*naive

Man they'll be crashing all 11 trying to stop run. Play passes should be there huh?
-
Name was changed to HSRATINGS.COM you now have to pay.

They're not fast at all. Man to man outside.and be physical!! Hopefully we can stop all the dumb penalties and cheap T/O.if they do that I think we can win.

High Island 2 Hamshire-Fannett 91/FINAL
TrojanWarrior08 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Gordon is an anomaly for sure. Even the football team imo can probably handle quite a few 11-man teams. -
Hardin-Jefferson 54 Vidor 60/FINAL
TheSixthMan replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
I know it’s still early in the season, but this seems like a pretty big win for Vidor. Looks like they will be tough to beat at home. Do they have a chance to compete for the district championship? I expect HJ to be near the top if not at the top of their district as they get everyone healthy and familiar with Hancock’s system. -
Huffman 51 Bridge City 58/FINAL
TheSixthMan replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Seems like Huffman once again has a pretty solid team. Not sure how this one went, but didn’t expect it to be this close. -

Thats the problem. BC is not a great football program (yet) still well under .500 all time. And have at least 5 more winning seasons to be remotely considered as such (which could very well happen)... Now placing your name with Newton who is well over .750 and contenders every year is the problem... you clearly dont understand besides wins and loses or who you play against. Take the blinders off. Enjoy the success as you should but you're really being unrealistic

HF just went toe to toe with WOS.

There is also districts that Jasper would have made playoffs. -
I thought you were joking about playing up against "bigger and badder teams". Idk what BC admin is feeding you guys. But its working. Clearly nieve.
