I think this game comes down to coaching, two evenly matched teams with 2 totally different play styles. Whichever coach game plans and has their team ready to execute wins! I think play calling will be huge for HJ.

Hate that this game is happening week 1 of district. There’s another week one game in this district that it’s looking like a playoff type scenario. We’re obviously talking hypothetical and I know alot can happen but the winner of HJ vs Sheppard could be for the 4th place and final playoff spot. I wish both of these games could have been the last week of the season!

Hopefully our Texas boys can have a much better showing than last year!

We don’t think they will contend with WOS do we, or is that a legit possibility? I haven’t been able to see them play yet and assumed this year it was going to be WOS then everyone else fighting it out for 2-4

Does anyone know if HJ’s QB is okay and playing? I heard he got knocked out of the OF game? I believe EC will win, but that could determine how close the score ends up being.

What was the final? I’m seeing 56-0 in some places? If so Hardin might not skip a beat this year?

I don’t know the kids personally but I wish them both the best. Surprised nobody has even brought this up because basketball aside and if it was my kid and they had the opportunity to get out of BISD, I would take it in a heartbeat. The basketball program is great arguably one of the best in the state, but are the kids actually learning and in the best environment possible to thrive in and after college? Let’s face it, chances are neither one of these kids will go pro, ( I hope I’m wrong because I would love for them both too) but you still have be realistic and plan for a life after college. I feel like every other day I turn on the news and there is another shooting in Beaumont so why wouldn’t you jump on the opportunity to get out?

You think Hardin has it in them to move over and take the 2nd seed?

Personally I think OF rolls. Mexia has one guy, I think OF is to well coached to let one guy beat them

Livingston isn’t no slouch either, they might not have to play because Livingston has shown they don’t always bring their best. I think BC can beat them because of coaching and Bush is legit but Livingston would have the best player on the court in that one and we all know with evenly matched teams having the best player on the court can be the deciding factor

BC won’t have the depth to pull this one out. I hope I’m wrong, but I see Washington winning by double digits.
