I'm ready for the game, I may be wrong but I don't think the Dogs have ever lost a playoff game at Lamar.
I dont know if NED has lost a single game at Lamar, if so i cant remember it.

Yes Ozen bet us there for the 1st time when Mosely was our running back.

Im going to be totally honest for at least one post. In daytons last 2 games the offense has managed to score 13 pts. I have seen ned and sc play and think ned has a defense that is just as good if not better than daytons last 2 opponents. Unless dayton opens up their playbook or dayton has been saving something I just dont see how dayton will score. If ned can defend a bubble screen, a qb keeper and a bomb were in trouble. I hope im wrong and dayton has made some vast improvement on play calling  execution this week I dont see dayton being able to score.

Well, pride, I have to give you +1 for what is an overly objective view of your team...while I understand your concerns, I know what type of talent Dayton has and what their potential is...I will just have to assume that they will play to that potential and therefore be a dangerous team...if they do not, then I will consider myself pleasantly surprised...I really do look for them to rebound and play better than they have been...I said before on this or maybe another thread, fans tend to overreact after a blowout game like the SC/Dayton game last week, in both directions...truth is, SC probably isn't as good as they looked last Friday (I am sure they are good, but if they are as good as everyone is saying after last Friday, they need to be in the SEC West) and Dayton probably isn't as bad as they looked Friday...you gotta remember that these are teenage boys we are talking abut here and anything can happen on game day/night

I made it to the scrimmage earlier in the year and it looked like Dayton handled Nederland pretty easy. Now I realize that was light years ago and Nederland didn't have their full complement of players suited up and it was only a scrimmage, but I still think Dayton should win this game. A close one I think, but Dayton by a FG.
We actually did lose to Ozen in 2004 when Micah was a soph. Nail biter, great game. Ozen had some studs on defense and a great running back who broke our backs with a late long run. Lamar will be friendly to us this Saturday, Nederland 27 Dayton 14!

again, despite what happened to Dayton last week, I look for them to rebound and play well...the scrimmage result, while not totally useless, is pretty close to useless...IMO, one of Nederland's biggest assets lies in our coaches ability to gameplan and make adjustments...they do none of this for scrimmages...add to this the fact that Nederland started the game without 3 defensive starters and ended up playing most of the scrimmage without as many as 6 defensive starters, and you understand why the scrimmage doesn't worry me at all.

all that said, I do see a physical, closely contested game with Nederland winning 27-20...the Dogs are playing pretty well right now and are for the most part, fairly healthy for this time of year...more so than this time last season...again don't underestimate the value of Nederland's coaching staff actually game planning for this game...they have proven to be really good at it
