They did get 31 on Angleton last year though. Your offense didn't get better or more explosive by losing Raines and Shaw either. I think Ned is going to score in the mid to low 20's like the normally do in games like this. Question is can we get 28 or 30? [/quote] All those teams you listed have pretty good defenses too. But so what if we don't score 50 a game, our offense isn't meant to just run up the score board.. It's meant to tire out the opposing defense, limit turnovers, and keep our defense rested for the end of the game. Last time I checked you just have to score more than the opposing team. Hopkins only got better in the offseason, and Barton and Dial should really help back there too. We have a very experienced team with a great coaching staff that will have the team ready to play.

Carson was a very good leader and had the ability to make big plays when needed. But I think Preston can mold into the same type of player this year. Both teams have a lot returning this year, two good teams that are going to be fun to watch.

Now with a first year starter at qb Ned is going to be high powered? First of all Ned's running attack which is the lifeblood of their offense was greatly helped along by a good o-line. With the departure of guys like Pryor Ned's line is going to be hard pressed for improvement over what it was last year. Even still it took 46 team carries to get over the 200 yard mark on our D which should be a lot better this year. Raines made some good veteran plays last year like you would expect a three year starter to but I'm expecting some growing pains the new qb's first start, especially on the road. [/quote] Our first year QB is very comfortable in the pocket, can run a little, and has a decent arm. Four of our five lineman started last year.. Hopkins, Dial, and Barton all return in the backfield. Each one of them are bigger, stronger, and faster than last year. With people like Kimler and Seay on the outside, that's match up problems with any team. Also don't forget the names Bordelon and Broussard, both kids have great hands and can run. Also have arguably the best kicker in the area on our team too. So do not underestimate the Bulldogs offense this year. It's going to be their strong point.
