You believe this statement to be true because Nederland looked good in their secret spring 'touch' football game, right?  ::)
Because they have athletes to put a beat down on in 7 on 7.

For most teams that would be a great season. That was also with almost all our skill position players being sophmores. I just dont see a drop off this year. Not to mention dayton will have the best nose guard they have had in several years which is very important with the 3-4 they run.
One big issue for Dayton is this year they must come to the million dollar field at Turner aka district title town n face 25,000 screaming faithful bulldog fans. The atmosphere and The Greatest Show on Turf will be too much for the young Dayton squad.
Only game in this area that could generate that type of crowd would be Mid County Madness. Dayton used to be in Ned and PNG's district. Those two schools bring more fans to the stadium than anybody. So I'm sure Dayton can handle the crickets at Turner aka home of the all bark no bite bulldogs.
Vidor plays in Beaumont ...really.  NO competition from that part of the region.  PNG..HA!  Vidor...HA!  Only Nederland was spared a thrashing due to an injustice that knocked out SC last year.
What injustice??
You just want to keep twisting the knife, don't you.  SC would be polishing our state championship rings right now if it weren't for the travesty that went down in the 2nd round.  A greater robbery has not been seen in recent years.
But GTown didn't win it either.. Remember they lost, and convincingly. SC would have lost by 50+
Dayton ranked #1?  That is a LAUGH.  You mean they WERE ranked #1 and got stomped by the true #1.  It wasn't even a game.  Nederland would have got atleast 50 points hung on them by SC.  Dayton was a very weak team.
Where did he say that Dayton was #1? If you get beat in the second round then you are not the true #1. If you said that SC's O-line was weak and not that good, how do you think they would do against 4 future college players on Ned's D-Line?
We'd hold them long enough to throw a bomb over their heads and score against your slow DB's.  Only need a few seconds.  Ask the rest of 19A.
Rest of your district wasn't as physical as Ned was. SC would have a hard time just getting off the line. Ask Crosby, Dayton, and Vidor how easy it was to block them "long enough"
there are definitely more questions.  Its not a question of capable talent, its a question of melding all the pieces together to make a unit that works according to one purpose.  They will be fine against inferior talented teams, but teams with similar talent and superior continuity will rip SC apart. Its far more then rust.  I can say from a technical standpoint, both OL and DL are going to be weaknesses for this team.  DL will struggle to create pressure against technically sound Offensive lines, and the Offensive line will struggle to create running lanes against faster and stronger defensive lines You may very well get a duplicate of last year, if all other teams stayed exactly the same.  Thats highly unlikely.    Like i said before, Summer Creek is the favorite.  However, its logically feasible that this SC team could be worse given they lack the cohesion of the previous year.
Will agree in terms of the Offensive and Defensive lines.  My understanding is SC has returned several offensive lineman.  Really hoping for a more dominant line this year.  5A Georgetown beat us up in the trenches last year.
LOL!  WE WILL NEVER FORGET.  Buy the T-Shirt.  I'm asking all SC Fans to join me in vigil every November 24th to remember the travesty that took place when a team full of seniors that played in 5A just the year before were allowed to drop into 4A and rob the place blind.  The game that everyone wanted to see was SC vs. Neverland.  Of course we win that game by 50points and move on to Jerry-land. 13. 8-10 We are going to roll through district again. The two wildcards are Crosby and Angleton. Going to Crosby will not be easy, and I have no idea what Angleton is going to bring to us. 8 is the minimum, or we may just run the table. Going to be a very good season either way.

 16. Coug do not sleep on the Dogs offense.. That is going to be their strength. Going to be a bigger shootout than people expect.
 17. 9-1 or 8-2. Playing at Crosby with all of those athletes will be tough for the Dogs. Angleton is a toss up. Not sure what they are bringing back from last year. But should roll through district this year again.
Whatever you say, besides, SC would have got crushed by Guyer in the state championship.
