Anybody think Ned should be mentioned in the top 25?

The first time they played Vidor threw alot of fastballs and they got pounded. On saturday Ned's 4 and 5 hitters saw a combined three fastballs in 8 at bats. Smart pitching on Vidor's part. Vidor's freshman got swept by Ned's freshman this year.

Ned JV beat Central 20-0. Ned is still unbeaten in district.

Georgetown won 3 or 4 games in 5a before realignment. The powerhouse teams like Dawson, Georgetown, Summer Creek, and 4a state champ Denton Guyer all have enrollments around 2000 or above. All things being equal an extra 5-600 kids makes a big difference. Division 2 teams are usually within a couple hundred kids of each other which makes for less disparity between the teams. Nederland still has a chance to win it all this coming up year. I know that they have lost a bunch of key players on defense and the QB. But they are reloading. Good crop of LB's going to have their chance, and most of the O-line and 4 running backs returning. Seay did not play reciever last year, but he is right now. Tall fast target with great hands. Still have Washington and Malveaux on the D-Line. Only team in their way will be the boys from SC. SC and Ned are two of the areas best heading into next year. That should be one heck of a 4th round game.

We have the three starters in the middle of the line returning in Brinkley, Brown, Albritton. Heard it's Henry's job at left tackle and right tackle is in competition. Johnson did love being a Bulldog, still a bunch of talent to work with though in Ned. Should be the front runner next year going for a three peat. Defense should still be pretty salty. Malveaux and Washington on the Line, Mayfield (hurt all last year) at LB, and Seay and Kimler at Safteys.

Seay is emerging as the possible #2 receiver.

[/quote] Personally I think that PNG's freshman class is not as good as Ned's sophomores. Both of those classes are very good in sports. I'm not sure how long a "few years" is to you, but they will be road blocked until Ned's sophomore class is gone.
