Everyone sees the trend, why else did he transfer to Fannett?? His dad was coaching him by the way talk talk , why wouldn’t you want to be coach by ur dad?? Also Fannett wouldn’t have been good if they didn’t have the 2 moves in last year, the have 4 in less than a year just doesn’t add up go me.

I think that’s what Carthage fans are hoping for. It’s not very fun to watch when your team is blowing everybody out. There is a lot of talk about Carthage’s arrogance, but when it comes down to it we love to see a damn game! Have played a ton of them over the years. Carthage has been involved in so many instant classics deep in the playoffs over the years. I would love nothing more than WO-S (or Jasper) to come and hit Carthage in the mouth. It’s been a while since Carthage has had a close game. But there is always that one playoff game that is gonna test a team’s will big time. It was Lampasas last year. Is WO-S the one to do it this year? Honestly I don’t think so, but I hope I am wrong. If Carthage continues on the path they are on, we are talking all time great Carthage team. Maybe the best ever. But have to finish this thing out. To this point in the season (7 games) Carthage has out scored opponents 302-67 (33 ppg average margin of victory). Last year Carthage thru 7 games had out scored opponents 255-63 (27 ppg average margin of victory). For context in 2017, which a lot of Carthage fans say was their best team ever, they out scored opponents 321-142 thru 7 games (26 ppg average margin of victory). So statistically this years team is the most dominant team Carthage has had thru 7 games in their history, but that doesn’t take into account SOS. We will have to see how the rest of the season plays out.

I think you mean squash Lumberton, get in the playoffs and make something, anything happen. That’s the only way to quiet all the side talk, because it has been a disappointing season if we’re being honest but it ain’t over yet. Early on in district we were banged up, that cost us one game. Now we are healthy so there is no excuse, I think it’s more about learning to use the pieces you have. Play calling has been questionable, refs have been unbelievably questionable, personnel decisions have to be questioned. I’ve been the eternal optimist all year but we’re running out of time for that. Get something done on the field, results!

I can't speak for those morons, nor would I want to. Some folks just like to talk out of their you know what sometimes. I thought, I believe it was #34, was a unbelievably strong RB for Jasper. In fact, y'all have a very good running team overall. Center couldn't stop them for the most part to save their lives. I'm still scratching my head on how y'all lost to Carthage by that much. To me after watching Jasper, it should have been a closer game.

I’m not trying to pile on, but if we are being honest, the whole preseason was nothing but talk about Vidor steamrolling this district, so the Smart A?? comment from him is somewhat justified. @LC-M has never said anything but how the LCM team needs to get better. So your not going to shame him by talking about their loss to Vidor. The best thing is to hope your team does better. It’s the only way to squash the sideways comments. Trust me, I know. The kids say some talk and I’m sure some of ours do to. It’s just not very sportsman like in my opinion, to stand out there and wave goodbye to each other. If you can’t shake hands after the game then just send them into the locker room or pull them straight into your team huddle. I’m afraid you’re going to see a postgame brawl after one of these. I’m not saying anybody or an team is at fault here, I just wish someone would give some direction to clean that up.

I like how after the game teams don’t shake hands anymore. They just meet in the middle of the field and talk crap, that’s the second game in a row I have seen that from our opponents. Is this the new normal? I hope not. Vidor will shake hands with any team as we have done with most of our adversaries. Some teams are using that post game show of sportsmanship to show boat instead.

A lot of us are on here from the days of the smack attack board so yes we always like to talk a little friendly trash. Just have to be a little thick skinned and talk it back.

Ok I have been lurking for sometime and am fairly knew to the Winnie area. My job transfers me about every 4 years so my kids know what it is like to have to change schools. But when I got transferred to Port Arthur my wife and I decided that the best school for our kids was East Chambers When you work in the plants or in a town that works near the plants you will have a better choice of athletes than if you are in the middle of the piney woods it is simple economics people move from places without jobs to places with jobs. To think that a high school team has to have the same genepool for 50 years is just insane. My wife and I both grew up in Big Football towns of the 90's Freer and Refugio respectively and have fallen for this East Chambers Team. First I have met some of these kids and the way you talk about these kids here is disrespectful. That kid you are mad is faster than your team is one of the most respectful and liked kid in the high school. The kid they had at Quarterback last year who broke his ankle against HF was the same. I have seen this QB now grow from a Freshman that fought like hell against Grandview and had them on the ropes in the first half. These kids wont be kids for long and it sounds like some of you need to stop being miserable and enjoy the gift that is Texas Football. Trust me I have been all over and nothing beats 2A-4A Texas football. To say that EC has not played anybody is not fair either. They beat 3 4A schools in a row schools that have enrollment almost 50% higher. Are you a coach? Do you know how hard it is to schedule someone pre-district when you are a good team. They had West Rusk on the schedule who is probably a better team that than anyone in the district but that was cancelled due to a hurricane. A good portion of these kids are also still living in houses that had damage from the horrible flood last two years in Winnie. Be the bigger man and just enjoy this team. This Coach is not like some Coaches that will purposely run up the score. Buna if you are mad stop them from scoring. I mean the second team offence was in half of the game. How is this fair to East Chambers they will have to be prepared to play full games in the playoffs. Do you think the coach in Refugio who had a National stroy written about him takes his players out? Does he go to State year after Year? And I am just a Band Parent

Is this normal around the area? I can't remember when it was common to opening talk about transfers. Only time I have every heard of it is people talking about Yates.

Agreed, a few players that don't get mentioned near enough, are Sellers, Anders, Goodman and Aguirre. Sellers is just an overall athlete as Sophomore QB/SS, Junior Anders leads the team in tackles at ILB and Senior Goodman is quietly having good season on both sides of the line. Senior FB/DE Bryce Aguirre is in the running for District MVP, he is on pace for about 1,000 yards rushing and a double digit sacks. Sophomore TB speedster Broussard and Freshman TB talent Victorian usually get most the talk.

5A VS 3A only difference is the size of the kids attending such school. If it is CEASAR that you are referring to I think it’s very clear that he’s a very talent individual. Let me make this clear whether he’s at a 1A 2A 3A blueA 5A 6A or any A of such sort, I can guarantee you he would be just as big as he is now. If you put all this energy you have being bitter towards a high school student focusing on being successful in his life into yourself or your child he/she to could be the talk of the town. HATING or jealousy isn’t a good look on a person especially on an adult. But thank you for being such a FAN, it’s evident he’s really the GOAT with all this GOSSIP floating around his name.

Sorry folks, newsflash: All this Carthage/WO-S talk is probably moot. According to my simulated bracket Carthage loses in first round, Silsbee defeats Jasper for region III title then goes on to avenge earlier loss to Pleasant Grove for championship. So if you're not a Silsbee fan, sorry, but I ran it four times and that's how it shakes out.
