1. I go back and forth between being mad about wasting time and money on a charade that has no chance of accomplishing anything (other than the opposite of the “healing” everyone likes to talk about without doing anything to achieve it). Or being glad they are like a child or a pet with an unsolvable puzzle. They will never be able to solve it but it keeps them occupied from doing something more stupidly harmful.
2. I feel sorry for my grandkids, this is no longer the greatest country in the world, even with everything that is wrong with this country, it was the greatest in the world. If you were born a man, go to the mans bathroom , because if my granddaughter is in the womans you'll never get through the door. If you break into my house trying to take something that isn't yours, that I worked hard for, expect to be shot. If you come riot around my house and try and tear my stuff up, expect to be shot. The difference between a protest and a riot, a protest is carrying signs calling out the injustice, a riot is burning and destroying stuff that doesn't belong to you. there are no peaceful riots. Every grown woman and man knows the difference, don't play ignorant. If you let someone talk you into doing something, it's still you're responsibility, don't try and blame someone else. That's kind of like going before a judge and saying; Yes i knew it was against the law, but he talked me into it. Your decisions are your own. Quit accepting the explanations of what is going on from one side, there are two sides to everything. Quit excusing every bad thing with it's an illness, we eradicate illnesses everyday, and besides you need to get rid of it before it spreads. Every elected office needs term limits, including senators and congress men and women. Leave the constitution alone and quit trying to pervert it to suit your needs. stop with all these executive orders, dictator Joe, make the Congress and Senate do their job ( this should have been done long ago, with all presidents). The government is mandating what it wants to no matter what we think, I can buy their vote. they're a bunch of politicians, that should be in jail, but they are above the law
3. I’m sure the peanut brains(quoting Silly Willy)have no problem with it. And, the peanut brains being the Dims. Talk about being two-faced, the Dims are prime examples of that!
4. When a football coach tells his team to go out there and fight, it's just figurative speech. Just like when Buddy Stephens says to "get out there and shove that football up somebody's nose"... He really doesn't want them to try and insert said pigskin into anybody's nasal passage. But Buddy is doing his part to get them motivated to get out there and perform, hopefully winning a football game. And if a coach turns around and says, "shoot, I never expected those guys to actually go out there and PLAY football" after drawing up a game plan, scheduling a game, arranging bus transport, giving the pep talk and standing on the sidelines while the game goes on.... he'd be a liar. The game (in this case, riotous insurrection) would have never happened without the coach's personal involvement.
5. You bring up a good point. I'm guilty of that myself. Racism is defined as the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another... and I honestly don't know many people of any shade who feel that way. My opinion is that racism is much, much less apparent now than in recent times.... but racial animosity is reaching levels that we haven't seen in a long time. Barriers people faced because of their skin color are just not what they were years ago. It's to the point that we have to try to find "implied" or "systemic" racism to point out because the good old fashioned variety is long gone. We point at rates of incarceration or lack of home ownership as somehow indicative of racism, when they are in fact much better indicators of criminal behavior and bad decision making. Both sides need to realize that they're being played against each other for political gain. And you're right... the rates of single parent households are going up on my side, too. That's probably what bugged me the most about the unrest over this past summer. So much of our nation rose up and demanded to do something about... but not about the real problem(s). It's not politically correct to talk about the senseless loss of 4-5000 young black lives each year, but we focus on the dozen or less annually that are killed by the hand of police and demand change. Our world is just mixed up. You have people that say the N-word all of the time, but feel as if others should be punished for saying it. It doesn't get any more hypocritical than that. If it's offensive, then it's offensive. Don't give me that "term of endearment" BS because every video of a black on black fight has that slur sprinkled throughout it-and their actions don't seem very endearing. If black people were bothered by that word, they'd stop saying it. Period. I refuse to pretend that the emperor has clothes.
6. I agree with you that things were HORRIBLE 155 years ago. They didn't get a lot better after the Civil War, either. You had decent progress after '64, or so I've read. I know for a fact that things have gotten a lot better in the short 40 years that I can recall. I'd dare say that black people have more opportunities and benefits afforded to them than any other race here in America right now. If they do not choose to take advantage of those opportunities because they'd rather talk about the "old days," I really don't know how to respond... They'll NEVER advance as a group because of the victimhood mentality perpetrated by the left. Does systemic racism exist... possibly.... Maybe even probably. And it accounts for about 2% of the problems faced by the black community today. Focusing solely on "racism" and "oppression" won't solve a thing for the community, because the problems that AREN'T rooted in racism are still gonna be there. You mentioned Silsbee.... so I'll ask this. With all of your talk about "how blacks couldn't own property for 300 years," why are the historically black communities in Silsbee (and any other older city I can think of) littered with abandoned homes? Drive through Silsbee, West of 96, South of MLK and north of 327. It's some decent houses, a lot of falling down houses, and tons of old homeplaces. You can see the same thing on the other side of town, too. If racism prevented blacks from owning property as you suggest, then how did all of those black-owned properties end up abandoned? It's EVERYWHERE, and racism didn't cause them to fail to maintain their residences, pay their taxes, or bother to have properly executed wills probated. There are tons of problems faced by that community... but racism is the lazy answer.
7. No Sir, I actually like the fans from Silsbee. The coaching staff goes out of their way to stop and talk with me. The head coach has a VIP Seat waiting for me if I ever make it to Silsbee HS, (that's a long drive from Houston). Yates v Silsbee Games are good.
8. Is anything more Covidy than a Memorial basketball thread being hijacked by Kountze talk?
9. Not just that, but they definitely want to talk to your ex-wife. "To acquire a license, gun owners would have be 21 years old, pass a background check, complete a training course, obtain insurance, and undergo a psychological evaluation. "Military-style" weapons would require an additional training course and license. The proposed psychological evaluation would have to be conducted by a licensed psychologist and require them to interview the spouse, former spouses, and least two other family members or associates of the person applying. Licenses would be automatically denied if the applicant had ever been hospitalized with a "mental illness, disturbance, or diagnosis," including depression, suicidal ideation, or addiction." 10. Mine lived on a commune in Oregon. That should tell you all you need to know about her. I love her to death but we don’t talk politics. It’s useless...kinda like on this board. Drove to Houston to pick her up from the airport. Complained that I picked her up in a gas hog. Told her she was welcome to walk. Guess what? She was willing to overlook it this time. I didn’t even mention the jet fuel hog she just flew in on. lol
11. Peanut brain, and you want to talk low IQ. That would be something a pre-schooler could come up with!!🙄
12. Funny, the right were the ones who were supposed to be scarce after the election, you know, afraid to face the truth. All I ask is that someone explain how Biden’s policies benefit Americans. He puts anyone in the world ahead of his own citizens. His foreign policy sucks big time. I guess all they could talk about is how Trump was rude and crude. Trump was hated because he exposed the deep state and the manipulating media......stepped in an ant bed, so to speak.
13. Just to add some fact instead of talk. CJones. 27 years coaching football, 8 years DC Pleasant Grove, personal coach and mentor of linebacker Lucas Wacha NFL. Played strong safety at UAM one the defense that still holds the record for the most interceptions and best defense in school history. I believe that is the only football team in UAM to advance to national playoffs in their history. Coached linebackers at WOS and they went to the state title game. His strongest reference for AD and head FB coach was Cornell Thompson. Kirbyville has placed in the bottom 2 in team track every year for the last 3. So much for speed. The author of Purple Pride Never Dies commented "Kirbyville is playing harder than ever, they are on the verge of coming back". These are undisputed facts.
14. Pirates dribble it out 57-49 Vidor final More talk from the fans in the stands lol nobody likes us...
15. Just another lie. But, what one needs to understand is the unity they talk about is only to unify their radical base. Silly you! Did you think he was actually reaching out to everyone?!
16. The truth of the matter is that no one wants unity. The left, the right, the “center”...their success hinges on dissension. In their minds, that’s how they keep their jobs. And it forces us into choosing sides, thus keeping the two headed monster alive. Furthermore, the media has taken the same approach. Without all the rhetoric, I have good friends on both ends of the spectrum, and I don’t agree with either side wholeheartedly on everything. But we can talk and discuss and even argue AND still be friends when it’s over (most of the time). Unity means BOTH sides of the aisle have to work on something other than making themselves rich. And that ain’t gonna happen sports fans. The media and our beloved politicians will make damn sure of that.
17. 🤦 Nah, this stuff isn’t being forced on us, that’s crazy talk.
18. I guess that fools America Last Policies has them speechless. All that Bull💩 talk about Trump looks pretty damn stupid about now. Just imagine how stupid it will look a year from now if we still have a freakin country left. Can’t say you weren’t warned.
19. Reagan

GM?

What I have to say about the electric situation in general is: When a battery can lift a 787 off the ground then we'll talk!
20. Dims like to talk out of both sides of their mouths!
21. Well it took me awhile but I can finally talk. Some of you know that I am Brock Pryors dad and it I got the shock of my life this year. Brock received several offers to play football from full rides to partials. The family was so excited as he had put in alot of work and we had taken him all over to camps, combines and visits. He decided on some schools and aalll was  good. Then bam he comes to me and says dad I don't want to play football anymore. I think my heart stopped. He continued to explain that he loved playing for Nederland and Coach Neumann but he wanted to be able to walk and think when he was my age. Brock said I just want to go to college get a degree and go to work for one of the refineries. I sat and listened in disbelief. After talking to several people and talking it over and over and over with Brock, I finally accepted it. I am proud that he came to me face to face and was man enough to stand up for what he wants. He has made us proud . So it is good to be back.
