  1. You understand correctly, but there’s been plenty of talk about him trying to do something bigger like Parler. I also agree with most of what you state here. My point was just if a large group of people turned to him for all of their news and information, he would definitely use it for his own good, rather than the people following him.
  2. See, these message boards are designed for cowards to come on here and talk about things they really don’t know and make it public without the repercussions of actually facing that person. And that’s ok, because after all, it’s a part of it, right? What if people could go back in YOUR life and profession and discuss any and everything that they THINK has happened without really KNOWING the facts and tried to make it into a negative light as you were trying to move forward in your career? That would suck, right? Each of these guys have all dealt with different issues during their careers, and the mere fact that these people are still sought after speaks volumes about who they are today as coaches and as people. I think that when guys come on here and say things that are not true or attempt to demean someone in a sarcastic manner, their real name should be revealed. It’s only fair, right? My point is I know these three guys to be excellent coaches and in turn are actually excellent PEOPLE. Your opinions are one thing, but to attempt to dig up their past as if that’s really going to affect their ability to lead now is just crazy. Kind of makes me wonder if you wish you had the opportunity that they are being afforded and maybe that’s your axe to grind. Have you MET either of them? Try that. Talk to them and see if that won’t change your strong opinion of what they have been through in their careers. Just a suggestion. Good luck to each of them, going forward in their careers.
  3. The other “fact” is this… a lot of Asians don’t care for black people and they aren’t very good at disguising it. We could talk all day long about the “whys” but the fact remains that animosity exists. That’s what’s so comical about “racism.” It’s always white being racist towards black (with a southern accent), but in reality Asians don’t like blacks and vice versa, and even Mexicans as a whole don’t care for blacks, either. When is the last time you saw a mixed races black/Mexican kid? It almost never happens. Just another inconvenient truth.
  4. It is absolutely because he put it out to the public in the media. Small talk can I also get you in trouble if someone records your statement and it becomes public. It is called conduct unbecoming or conduct that might shed a bad light on the police agency. Many or most police agencies (and many private companies) have rules they say you could not have a picture on your Facebook page in your uniform. The rules also states that if you’re making political statements or opinions or anything of that nature, you cannot identify the agency that you work for. An officer has a right to free speech but he does not have a right to make his agency look bad. That is why most people in such public professions that want to make political statements, do so under a disguised profile. A Walmart employee has the right to his opinion also. He still can’t wear a Walmart smock on a video and make a comment that makes Walmart look bad without facing consequences which will likely be termination.
  5. I understand that. I m around LEOs on a daily basis (in uniform) and I hear personal opinion in “small talk” a lot of the time. IMO it’s because this guy used media to share it and the fact he was spot on so it was viewed nation wide. I just hope it doesn’t cost him his job.
  6. [Hidden Content] From the article: Civil Rights Attorney Leo Terrell told "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday that LeBron James will not meet with the Black cop who requested a meeting to discuss policing because it would "destroy" the NBA star's narrative. LEO TERRELL: You see, there is a strategy on the left, the extreme left: white officers kill black people. That person who wrote that letter is a black officer. LeBron is not going to sit there because it destroys their narrative... that Black police officer destroys LeBron, the socialists', the extreme left's narrative. He'll never sit down with that guy because of skin color. And that's how ridiculous it is. LeBron has consumed too much Democratic Kool-Aid. They want a race war in the sense that law enforcement is evil, even though law enforcement is the only defense for people of color and for all people.
  7. [Hidden Content] Our President and VP are an embarrassment. From the article: REP. TROY NEHLS: [Coronavirus is] the excuse that this administration is going to use. And look at her. She's been jet-setting around this country, going to all the different blue states, talking about this infrastructure plan and everything else. So, no, this isn't COVID, Kamala. And you know it. You just don't want to visit the southern border because you know what you're going to hear. You're going to hear from the border patrol, Department of Public Safety, immigration, small-town mayors and everyone that lives along that southern border that you are doing a horrible job. You're in complete denial and you need to fix the southern border. That's what she would hear if she visited it. So she's going to use the excuse like everything else. … It is a poor excuse. But what else was she going to say? She's got to come up with some excuse. And COVID just seems to be the word of the day every day and probably for the next several weeks or months. They don’t know how to handle this, quite honestly. … They do not put the American people first. And I've said this several times. I said we must put America first. But they added a word into it. They're putting Central America first. She wants to go down and visit Guatemala and Honduras. She doesn't want to go down to our southern border. And we need to continue to keep up the pressure. [Go] visit the southern border and talk about this issue, show the American people the crisis we have at the southern border. And this is such an easy fix -- revert back to Trump's policy. Kamala, you're in charge of this now. Remember, you're the point person on this. You need to get up this morning, you need to call President Trump and ask him, say, ‘Sir, how did you have such a secure southern border?’ And he'll tell her, ‘You need to go back to Remain in Mexico. You need to get rid of this catch and release and you need to finish the wall.’ That's how we solve this problem. And it could be done today.
  8. Everybody in the district pretty much lost all of their offensive production from last year, of the playoff teams Crosby probably took it the worst on the defensive side of the ball. Transfers are always welcome but we won't be looking for players for the next 5 or 6 years, we'll just be reloading. Crosby is going to field one of the more inexperienced teams I can remember but they have a bunch of talent on both sides of the ball and three games against Carthage, Manvel and PAM to get ready for district play. The biggest key for Crosby will be the development of some of the younger linemen. If Crosby's staff gets it figured out early then watch out, the Cougars may be Buffalo hunting for another shot at the title game. As for PNG, every year the talk is about the new quarterback. You absolutely need one to have a legitimate shot at a deep run but if feels like Indian fans are more concerned with passing yards than running the ball, controlling the line of scrimmage and playing defense which is how you go deep in the playoffs. Figured PNG would've seen that with the way RJ controlled games with his running ability. Defense may have 9 starters back but they'll still be at a disadvantage the way PNG plays offense. Even when Riordan had great athletes on the defensive side of the ball we struggled to keep team off the scoreboard due to the sheer number of opportunities the opposing offenses got.
  9. 2 in one day for the DL. Per The Hawg Talk: 🚨BREAKING🚨 Illinois State transfer John Ridgeway (6’6, 325) will enroll at Arkansas.
  10. I have Crosby the nod bc I believe those extra weeks in the playoffs make a difference. Regarding PNG, it seems when I read about them the talk is about fixing the defense. Or something related to it. I will say that I enjoyed y'alls 1st round game! It was really exciting.
  11. The opposition in the article talks about denying competition. How does a male competing as a male deny competition? It then goes on to talk about competing with peers. Yeah, your peers aren’t females that have way less testosterone.
  12. It’s just too far gone at this point. I turn on CBS news a lot of mornings and I’d say that at least 2 thirds of their clips are race related. If it’s not the latest police shooting, it’s Meghan Markle vs the royals. If they’re talking about Covid, they’re talking about how it’s affecting people of color disproportionately. If they talk about the eviction moratorium, they have to mention that ending it will hurt more people of color. Stories about education always have to include a bit on inequity. I’m really getting to the point where I feel myself getting less sympathetic by the minute. I wonder if I’m the only person that feels that way?
  13. Let’s talk about next year. I see someone discuss on China Spring vs. WOS thread so I thought why not to discuss this relate about next year. I am not sure how many that they lost and return. my big question is QB issue. I know #19 is more likely play at QB but my opinion that he should stay where he have been and best option. Does anyone know that they have a good QB? Next several years still good reload or not? Since I cannot see there how they doing cause I don’t live there. I would love to hear your opinion and start discuss.
  14. Coach Carter is a great man. I am very glad my son had the privilege to play for him. Those that talk bad about the man don’t truly know him. He is all about the kids he is coaching. He challenges them constantly makes them work, something some of these kids don’t know how. If you want it he will he will reward you. If you go half a__ and don’t put in the work and expect to play just because of who you are. Well, less just say you will need a pad for your butt because you will have a lot of pine time.
  15. Looking at the Facebook comments are either hilarious or sad according to how you look at it. Comments such as, the officer should have tried to talk her down. In the middle of a knife swing? Or, she called 911 so you can’t shoot her. I could list about 100 more examples but that is stupidity at its finest. But I know that people like to play the what if game. So what if it was a white female try to stab A black female? If the officer did nothing, what would the narrative be? Here is my opinion only going to Texas law. 1. it does not matter who called 911. 2. There is no way for the officer to know who made the call or any other circumstances such as bullying (which doesn’t justify stabbing) before his arrival. 3. Presented with these circumstances, there is simply no time for de-escalation or talking anyone down as has been suggested. The person is in the middle of an attack. 4. Under Texas law, any person could have shot and killed the girl with the knife in her hand. All that is required to protect another person, even a person that is not known to you, is a reasonable belief that had you been in the same situation, deadly force would have been justified. So a person can put themselves in the position of the girl against the car who is trying to fend off the knife attack. 5. Age has no relevance in the justified use of deadly force. 6. I see no way anyone can say the officer made a mistake looking at the facts that he saw however, even if the officer might have been technically wrong if some people‘s opinion, it would still be justified under the law. The Texas law on self-defense (for anyone) or the use of force by police officer, is a reasonable belief. 7. The United States Supreme Court in Graham v. Connor said that in viewing force by a police officer, you must place yourself in the position of that officer having to make a split second decision. In Graham the officers used force against a guy who they believe may have just committed an armed robbery and was resisting. As it turned out the person was completely innocent and was having a diabetic crisis. A UNANIMOUS Supreme Court found that the officers use of force was justified even against the innocent person because they had a reason to believe that he was resisting arrest from an armed robbery. They had no way of knowing that he was going into insulin shock and actually needed treatment. In that ruling the Supreme Court said that you have to look through the eyes of the officer who had to make a split second decision and not one made several months later in a judge’s chambers when there is time to look at all the facts. That is why if a person shoots a man in self defense coming at him with a gun and it later turns out that the gun was a toy, it is still justified. The facts are that the person using self-defense was in no danger but there was a reasonable belief of danger when presented with the situation. 8. Also under Texas law, if you claim self-defense or defense of another person, you do not have to prove that self-defense was needed. The state has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the self-defense or defense of another was not needed.
  16. This is terrible..... Take your feelings out of it the crime doesn’t fit 2nd or 3rd degree murder We ve allowed the mob to dictate and actually do the opposite of the law. talk about losing faith in the system. my prayers go to all law enforcement.....their job gets tougher each and every day for all you idiots out there.....just comply
  17. I mean they are clearly just letting her talk out of her behind these days. How does no one vet what she is planning to say? Heads up Nancy - I’m pretty sure my black friends (and family) would just prefer to remain alive....
  18. 6 grade will all be at Mauriceville. Mauriceville 7th and 8th going to LCJH. This isn’t finalized but is in the talk. Mauriceville folks hear about this and they will be in a uproar.
  19. Yep, and girls coaches too. I'm hearing King to United or Memorial OR could stay and teach only - that's the rumor at other Schools Field Houses. Some talk about Faircloth too. They have to honor King's contract less coaching stipends. Probably about $15,000 total. 6 for football, 2/3 for coordinator then 3 or so for 2 other sports $12-15. PNG get days for extra time put in at their day rate so around 300 a day for 15 or so days Time will tell
  20. Wow, and I’m constantly condemned for watching Fox. Ahhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Talk about sheeple.....ahhhh ha ha ha ha. Trump called them “Fake News” and he was right. Of course all of us Southeast Texans of a lesser mind knew this all along. Hey Maga, you still able to read but not post? I knew you were spoon-fed this gullible crap. What a moron (oops, I just insulted morons everywhere) YIKES!!!!! Reagan, I hope you splatter facebook with this video. All cnn reporters should have their press badges revoked. Propaganda is the work of the devil.......and liberals. One shouldn’t be able to work as a reporter after using propaganda on the public.
  21. I agree. When I first heard about it, I figured she was a relative newbie. But as I told someone else, in the heat of the moment, shot happens. Folks like to talk about root cause. If you look back at virtually every national incident of an officer killing a black person, they’re invariably not obeying the Police. Guess that’s the root cause.
  22. They have already been tracking us. Mention anything, let’s use AC units for an example. Talk about air conditioning around your phone. Tell me if you don’t start seeing AC ads in side bars on your phone, Facebook, etc. Heck, my phone “knows” when I am getting in my vehicle to leave work. It prompts me the mileage and time to reach destination to my house. I thought that was weird and info I don’t really need, but there it is.
  23. Can't argue with you.... He did cut taxes which spurred growth, but never came through with any spending cuts. But it's not just him... "Conservatives" have been doing that to us for years. It all changed after the Clinton years, when Newt Gingrich worked with Bill Clinton to provide the last deficit-free years that we've had. The modern way of thinking is that "we'll just borrow to spend whatever we want and just pay the interest. It's much cheaper this way than actually PAYING for things." Like borrowing 2 trillion for "Covid Relief" when 90% of the bill had nothing to do with the pandemic. But you can rest assured that every time the Covid bill was mentioned, all that the talking heads wanted to talk about was the "$1400 stimulus checks." Who doesn't want one of those, right? Now we're moving on to 4 trillion more for "infrastructure" and you can bet that precious little of that money will go towards our crumbling infrastructure.
  24. I have to talk a little smack. I’m new at rooting for the tigers
