Sorry but these teams were fairly evenly matched. Lee threw an INT that turned the momentum as well and got an easy TD for Crosby. Failed fourth and one. Rouging the punter to give Crosby the ball again when down two scores in the fourth. Vrosby punt rolling down to the 1 from what was about a 30 yard punt turning into a 55 yard punt. Lots of opportunities missed both ways. Crosby is obviously bigger and faster and looks like a formidable 5A team while Lee looks like a 3A team. Lee's coaching and execution keeps them in it though.

Game over. Crosby wins by 20. If they played 10 times this is about what I would expect the average score to be. Crosby is about 20 points better than Lee. Lee needed to play perfect and the missed 4th and 1 conversion in the 2nd and the roughing the punter in the 4th quarter were back breakers. Good game Ganders.

They are not keeping up with time remaining very well. Has to be late in the 3rd. Still 27-15. Crosby ball in their own 14. Just said 1:11 left in 3rd. .

Lee has no business being in this game. They have a much better coach that has been able to keep things close. We will see how it goes in the second half. I expect Crosby to come out and be a lot fresher and impose their will.

Crosby only has three plays. Luckily they work a bit due to their athleticism. Throw right laterally, throw left laterally and chuck it up for grabs down field. Lee has completely shut down any running game. One of the chucks went for a TD after the defender missed the sure INT. Lee is one missed 4th down conversion on 4th and short deep in Crosby's territory away from being up at the half.

Crosby 20-7 towards end of 1st quarter. Crosby is big and has good athletes for this level but not very well coached.

Can we get back to focusing on Lee extending their winning streak against Crosby this week.

It will be interesting to see what Lee does at QB. They played QB2 about half the time to let QB1 slide out to receiver where he did some pretty good damage against Clear Brook. QB2 looked ok, but made a few ill advised passes that would probably be pick sixes against Crosby. Clear Brook broke some long runs right up the gut. If they had 250 yards offense, they probably got 200 of it on four runs up the middle. I have a feeling that this will be like the PAM game for Lee last year. They will be in the right places at the right times but just not athletic enough to make the plays and a barrage of long Touchdowns will occur. Will it be streamed somewhere?

Demographics continue to shift and teams that were once powerhouses become also rans. Happened to Willowridge, The Aldine schools, the Alief schools, will happen eventually to the Klein and Spring schools. Probably Katy as well. People will just keep edging out further into the burbs. Fulshear and Iowa Colony will be the powerhouses in 5 years.

These aren't Kalief Muhammad's Alief Elsik teams. They went 1-9 last year and got outscored by 300 points. They lost to FB Austin in week one. Austin was 0-10 last year. I think playing Elsik these days is not much different than playing one of the weaker HISD schools.

Lee is up 13-7 in 2nd quarter.

Looking at Hudl, Brazoswood looks like a team with a good coach that knows their assignments and is serious about executing and playing good football. Sterling looks like the same Sterling we have been seeing for a few years. Disinterested, confused and poor execution.

Doubt Sterling gets any area ranking votes this week.

King is a 6A school that has jumped in enrollment about 700 students in the last five years. They are on the North Shore schedule of going from afterthought to power house. They are even in the same area over there, same caliber of athletes. Think about the trouble Crosby had with Ridge Point and that was when Ridge Point had barely crossed the threshold to highest classification. Imagine them playing Ridge Point now. That's the same as playing King. There will never be a scenario moving forward where Crosby will be able to compete with CE King. They are a few years away from being like North Shore, Westfield, etc. Entrenched as favorites in the region in the highest classification.

With the first team? They had three consecutive plays that went for 75, 86 and 65 for three tds on three plays. Maybe their second team brought it way down.
