  1. Lee probably shouldn't kick deep or punt any more this game. Not much faith they can keep LP from getting 10 yards every 4 plays. Lots of fumbles by LP. Lee grabbed one of them, but there were st least 5 or 6 on the turf. Lee just not able to connect in the passing game this half.
  2. I was thinking the same thing. He seemed like he couldn't have been more than 17 or 18. Not so sure though.
  3. I don't see why they couldn't. I don't think they will, but I see no reason to believe they couldn't if the breaks went their way. Lee got absolutely worked over by Kingwood Park and Barbers Hill last year then beat PAM and should have beaten LP. They have enough coaching to always be a threat but a lack of athletes leaves them teetering on the brink of getting blown out if momentum goes against them when playing some of these better teams.
  4. I feel like you have five levels of high school teams. You got your teams like aledo and north shore and Carthage. Very few of those types. On a scale from 1 to 10 we will say they are an 8-10 depending on the day you get them. You have your teams like northbrook and spring woods and waltrip... quite a few of those. We will say they are a 1. Then you have the majority of teams broken up into below average, average and good. Teams like GCM and Sterling are below average. Let's say a 2-4 depending on the day. Lee is average. Let's say 4-6 depending on the day. Crosby and BH and PAM above average. Let's say 6-8 depending on the day. You will never get a team like GCM to play well enough to beat anyone two levels above them like a team like PAM or BH. They could play perfectly, get a few breaks and catch Lee on a bad day though and best those level of teams, but they are not capable of playing well enough to beat the better teams. Similarly, Lee could never beat anyone two levels up but they played close to perfect and caught Crosby on a bad day and are the type of team that can win against that level of team if the cards fall just right.(like against PAM last year) I wouldn't let that loss signify that Crosby is not still capable of beating teams like BH and PAM because they still fall in that tier to me.
  5. Crosby will work RSS and GCM by 50 each. The offense scored virtually every time they got their hands on it. The defense and the onside kick were the problems for Crosby. Also whatever penalty they had after the last touchdown forced a kickoff from near their own 20. Lee didn't have to do much on the return to start on Crosby 40 yard line.
  6. Just about got this one on the money.
  7. 43 to 42. Lee about to go for two. 11 seconds left.
  8. Little over a minute left
  9. Lee scored And then recovered an onside kick. Down 7 now with the ball.
  10. I had BH by 40 but not at the half. No way was I buying into Sterling. I've seen their freshman teams play Lee the last few years.
  11. Good back and forth battle but you can feel that Crosby is just on the verge of breaking it open. Lee has to be close to perfect to get ten yards every three downs.
  12. I watched the Hudl highlights on laportes page. GCM was just so out of position on defense. Time after time they let them get to the edge when it didn't have to happen. GCM lost to Galena Park so there was no way they were beating LP.
  13. Goose Creek, Crosby and LaPorte are all down about where one would expect on the school rankings. I took a quick look at BH vs GC. GC is 72% economically disadvantaged and 20% low English proficiency. BH is 23% and 2% A quick glance at LP and Crosby show similar though a bit lower than GC. I would imagine you could look at just those percentages across the state and rank them in that way and get close to what the rankings actually are.
  14. On the statewide list, Barbers Hill is between Friendswood and Pearland. So, between 3 and 4 on the greater Houston list if included.
  15. Crosby by 25?
  16. DP 49 WB 13
  17. BH by 40.
