Good effort by the Ganders. Have to be proud of the way they play. Just not enough depth. Too many guys playing both ways and additionally some sloppy stuff like muffing kick off returns and punt snaps. Just not quite good enough. GC needs to let them play down where they belong in division 2 instead of making the Baytown teams stay together. Still an outside shot at playoffs.

Not sure what BH is doing here. Tried quick pass from the 2 yard line and nearly got a 98 yard pick six. The only way Lee could have possible had a chance and they just about gave it to them.

Strange sequence. Lee moved down pretty effectively running the qb then 7 straight timing pass plays all incomplete even with a roughing the passer sprinkled in. Not sure what they were thinking there.

I'll tell you what happened. Lee was moving the. Got an illegal chop block to start over 1st and 25....converted 3rd and like 24 with a 40 yard pass and got a holding call. I felt the officials were pretty fair until that drive. BH is playing absolutely flawlessly without any penalties to be found here.

Officials completely taking over the game here late in the 3rd. Not going to happen for Lee with this type action

Officials looked like they blew that one. Looked like an incomplete pass for Lee, but they called it a lateral and he picked it up and ran it in from about 30 yards out

Two dropped picks for Lee so far. Really need everything to go right to win this. Not a good start.

This sounds about right. Lee has to stay away from the flurry of turnovers they had in last year's game. Play a turnover free game and convert a few 4th downs And they might have a chance in the 4th quarter.

No. I dont want to get on a particular kid too much but he's not a QB. They should try something else. Bring up the freshman and let him run around and try to make something happen.

Crosby would be better off putting another blocker in there and going wildcat between 14 and 2 and an occasional jet sweep to a receiver.

GCM and Sterling have been out of contention for the last 5 years. Not sure I would write off Crosby just yet.

BH 63-13 - 49-0 at halftime.

By all rights they should have the best team in Baytown. It's hard to really piece together why they don't. All of the newer houses and neighborhoods are out that way. Sandwiched between Mont Belvieu and Crosby. Pretty sure McNair is zoned to GCM. They haven't come within 35 of Lee in about 7 years now. Coinciding with when Finn arrived.

Man. I knew this was coming. LP surprised me with how well they showed up their passing defense from last week to this or maybe just different matchups. I go on record on a lot of different game predictions so bound to get some way wrong sometimes. Good win.

Going to wade back in as an outsider into this discussion. I will be shocked if LP makes BH punt the ball at all while the game is still in doubt. Lee had guys running wide open down field multiple times and just couldn't connect which is why Lee isn't as good as BH or LP. After seeing BH against Crosby(was watching both games at the same time) I don't think BH is going to be over throwing and under throwing those wide open balls down the field. Unless they get stuck with a penalty and some mishandling of the ball, I don't see a scenario where BH gets stopped this game. I would expect 4 or more 50 plus yard touchdowns passes. I don't think BH will have the same difficulty with this running game as they did with Crosby. This one is more about assignments whereas you could have all the guys in the right assignments and #2 and #14 for Crosby will just plow over a guy and juke quickly around another. LP has guys that are going to get the yards that are there but not a lot more. They have to have it blocked up and executed properly to get their 5 yards each time. I don't see that as being sustainable against BH.

Crosby had the two best athletes on the field when they were on offense against BH. I thought BH might have problems with them. That won't be the case with LP. They do it more with execution and trickery. I am a Baytown fan but I have seen both BH and LP play. Just providing my opinion. We can revisit this weekend.

LP too physical. Lee would have needed to go for it on those 4th and mediums in the first half and gotten them to keep this a game. Very difficult for Lee to stop LP for 4 plays. Line just too big for Lee. Lee couldn't connect on several passes down the field in the first half when it was still a game. Either overthrown or under thrown or out of bounds. At least three that could have been 50+ yard touchdowns. That's why they can sometimes beat Crosby then get worked over by LP. Not enough consistent execution like you might find in a higher level team. All of the plays went Lee's way against Crosby which led to that win. This time not so much
