  1. Story in the paper says they are contemplating combining the three schools. That would be the first wise decision they have made in some time.
  2. All you have to see to say it should be rotated is that the one year it was in Houston, Dallas was shut out and Houston won all of the championships. It is not fair to have it in Dallas every year. Jerry world is nearly a decade old and will be reaching a point soon like all other stadiums do where it is just considered a run of the mill stadium.
  3. Surprised to see desoto at 11 in that poll. They had no business beating Collins last week.
  4. So cougar underestimates fort bend schools and humble schools I see.
  5. Cedar park cut it to single digits for less than a minute after the 1st quarter. Manvel has much better return game so total yards is a little misleading.
  6. The Dallas area has a distinct advantage over the Houston area due to the fact they have so many distinct towns that have their own school district. Desoto and Cedar Hill come to mind. In the Houston area, cedar hill would be fort bend Hightower, then right when they syart flexing their muscles, Ridge point opens up. Right when George ranch starts flexing their muscles, a Greatwood high school will be built. Katy is sort of its own thing, but everywhere else the fractured aspect of the districts is a hinder and, not a help. Klein Collins is finally getting it going again. They will have another Klein school soon, book it. And this will set them back a few years again. PAM doesn't have any excuse. They have the one school and plenty of athletes.
  7. One am built around executing and not making mistakes vs a team built around overwhelming you with athletes. Reminds me of the katy and manvel games of the last few years. I don't think cedar park has ever seen this type of athleticism. It will basically be like playing a really athletic 6a team for them.
  8. What was going on at West brook 10 to 15 years ago? I was looking at team histories and they won like 14 games over 7 years in there. What happened?
  9. Do all of the humble area athletes just choose one school to go to or what? Humble used to be good. then summer creek was good, now atascocita.
  10. Westfield plays in a poor district, but Spring is a good squad and Westfield ran them over. Westfield handled them the same way that The Woodlands handled Spring.
  11. 48 to 14 at half. Manvel scored three touchdowns in the last five minutes.
  12. The weakness is that the 12th fastest player for manvel is faster than anybody for new caney.
  13. If Manvel doesn't win this one by 4 touchdowns or more I will be surprised.
  14. Yeah. He transferred to Lamar for his senior season.
  15. [Hidden Content] Look at the attendance maps. Ridge points attendance zone doesn't touch Marshall's at all. What happened was marshall opened, and it was new and everyone wanted to go there, so people that should have been going to Hightower and willow Ridge and probably dulles ended up over there. They were stout for a few years then they fell off. Then a few years ago, they had jw Ketchum who was a sensational talent and helped will them to being stout again. I think what you see now is just the stabilizing of the program after being open for more than a decade.
  16. Marshall did not lose anyone to Ridge point. Ridge point pulled from Hightower and elkins. I think marshall has always had athletes. they probably just have a better group of kids right now and maybe a better coach to pull the best from them.
  17. Crosby has to be feeling good with that score. Marshall had it in the red zone a couple more times to only turn it over on downs. It's still a winnable ballgame for crosby.
  18. Ok ok. I'm just talking to see myself talk. it just struck me as funny that a lot of the discussion sounded just like it did last year before Ridge point. Good luck this weekend.
  19. I'm from baytown originally, so I have no problem with that side of the river. I don't live next to Ridge point any more either. I just need yall to be a little more humble is all.
  20. But before the game last year, crosby fans were not rattling off how great the ridge point trenches were and how much of an advantage they would have in size. It was simply that crosby would win by three touchdowns because Ridge point no longer had bulmer and the defense wasn't as good as it was the previous year. So, now Marshall doesn't stand a chance. next year it will be Elkins and we all look back and talk about how Elkins doesn't have the same speed in the defensive backfield as Marshall and that's the only reason Marshall won.
  21. But before last years game you felt the same way about ridge point. You Are using revisionist history now to say it was a given that rp was a bad matchup. So, much like you had trouble understanding last year, you are again having trouble this year, albeit for a different reason.
  22. You would think you would learn your lesson after underestimating ridge point. Crosby is going to again struggle with that fort bend type of speed.
  23. Nope. they have some 7a games on YouTube of crosby middle school, which shows them playing baytown junior, Horace mann, gentry and cedar bayou, so I guess an assessment can be made there as to who was the best 7a team.
