  1. Last against Silsbee. Only had time for two sets. Lost both 26-24 & 25-19. Tigers looked good.
  2. Last 25-6. Now I know what College means. Means our girls should wear flax jackets lol.
  3. Evadale vs College. Stupid me had to ask. Wow. We pretty durn good 2A but they beat us 25-13 first set.
  4. A big attaboy to those folks. Didn't envy the job they had, but they're doing good. This deal, not much, but enough "not much" makes a bunch. I hope it gets straight and stays because I think it's important to the whole area.
  5. Thx tvc, that was interesting, and educational. Most of us "learn" what we know from CSI, which is entertaining, but probably not always accurate.
  6. At the risk of sounding a little "out there", IMO he's not even on the right team. Needs to take his silver and move on.
  7. That would cause excessive damage to the organs. My suggestion, opening day of deer season, tie antlers on her head and turn her loose in the East Tx woods.
  8. Old saying, Actions speak louder than words. This guys actions/inactions, speak volumes. I'm at a loss to understand why more people don't get it. Or even worse, they get it and don't mind. A scenario so alien to me I can't comprehend it.
  9. Lot of talk about the uninformed voter on this Forum. Add me to the list. I'd be hard pressed to name 10 of these, much less tell you their positions on everything. It's become a joke. Glad I know who I'm voting on already.
  10. If anyone thought Kerry had any credibility prior to the Iran Nuke deal, should have lost it by now. He's either saying what he has to say, or is goofy as a glass eyed dog. It's scary, really scary, to know most of us have more sense than our Sec of State.
  11. NRA definitely still a pain in their backside. One of the very few Constitutional organizations they can't get rid of.
  12. Be advised, this is another small step "they" do to get what they want. Although I refer to them as String Masters (which they are), "they" work like sculptures. Chip a piece of rock here, piece there. Eventually, that rock will look like they want it to. They are patient, and relentless. And when they do, you'll look around and think, How did this happen? Know some think I'm goofy as a road lizard, but I've watch it to long.
  13. Action starts up again this afternoon. I think they start @ 4 or 4:30. SL. so times flexible.
  14. You know what? I want to win the lottery. Hasn't happened yet. I hope they never want my gun. They may not have much better luck. SS recipients are shortimers in the game of life.
  15. Summer volleyball at Silsbee started up this afternoon. I understand a good turn out of schools and fans. Only scores I'm aware of are the two Evadale games. They defeated HJ (may be 1st time ever) and Spurger. Congrats to the Lady Rebs. Expecting a deep playoff run from this group. Heard Ltown is there. Always a power.
  16. I think we have a winner. Mr. BG for answering correctly, a 7 month trip to Jordan, you win the Grand Prize. You'll be the new head of Homeland Security. Be careful how you interact with your fellow Govt people. Your IQ may intimidate them, and none of them have common sense, which will add to you being unique.
  17. First, since I'm pro life, you probably made that decision for many of the same reasons I'm PL, and I'm proud of you, for whatever reason. Could never cover your question as well as tvc did, so I'll tell you what my mom use to say, "A wise man changes his mind, a durn fool never does". Kind of a simple response, but it sums it up.
  18. Absolutely. Grinning from ear to ear, but I'm running out of adjectives to describe what's going on. It beats my four aces.
  19. Term limits - great suggestion. But I wouldn't say cutting their throats, more like killing the goose laying their golden egg. That's Rep & Dems Homestly, I'd love to know how many in Congress, or upper echelon of Govt couldn't be bought.
  20. I'm still perplexed why you ask this. My apology still stands, but I'd like to know why you were bothered by it. As I've stated before, I'm relatively new at this stuff, so if I made a breach of etiquette, let me know. To my amateur eye, my post to your reply seems innocuous.
  21. I can to. Not only from the health risk, but for intance if you have a Muslim friend who dies & you go to the burial. Since most of us are totally unfamiliar with their customs, you could do something wrong and end up on a hit list for extremist.
  22. Yes, in a sense. I took your post as sarcasm, which is a method many use when they find something unbelievable. I felt it was a continuation of what you said, from old folks perspective. Was I wrong? If I offended you, I apologize. I make every effort not to do that. Get on here to enjoy and learn.
  23. I think the boys still get a respectable field, but not Silsbee or Kountze last year anyway (way they talk about Silsbee, they need to sch Duke). The girls field a little stronger, with some very strong, big teams.
  24. I find it interesting that Muslims are not buried in caskets. Wrapped in a sheet, put in grave and buried? Before we knew better, we'd drain the oil from our cars and pour it on the ground. That'll get in your groundwater we were told. Ain't no tree hugger, but didn't want to drink oil, so I quit. Call me crazy, but I don't want to drink dead Muslim either.
