Athens is a good team, but that first game against Carthage had more to do with Carthage than it did Athens. Athens was pretty fortunate to win each of its 3 playoff games to make it this far to begin with.

Carthage may make this a little bit of an unfair comparison when it’s all said and done.

Wild to me that the Stangs just pulled a 15-point upset to make it to the semis and people are still griping about coaching. They’re playing out of their minds right now, and at least some of that is due to coaching.

Gonna give the coaches that had them 13-0 the benefit of the doubt on that last statement and just say they were outmanned and did what they could. A couple of questionable calls, but when you’re playing a team of that caliber you have to A) execute we beat you can and B ) try to some that may not work out

Ash picked up a couple first downs to seal the game. Mt. Enterprise wins 64-58! Ash rushed for 501 yds tonight! Needs less than 100 next week to break the all-time Texas record.

He didn’t score on that last drive, but added close to 90 yds rushing. Penalties killed them in the end
