I think Crawford is better than you think. Or maybe they're worse than I think. These week 1 games are always kinda tough. I know Crawford has some studs, and the jump they made last year from the year before was insane. I would expect for them to be even better this year, and wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get some transfers from the Fort Bend area after their success last year as well. Although from what you're saying LaPorte has made quite the jump as well.

As many others have stated, Broussard is a stud, but LM's quarterback is also a stud. LaMarque graduated about 10 starters last year, but somehow managed to pull in around 5 substantial transfers for this season. Last year when these two met in the playoffs the Cougs were running away with it until a furious Longhorn rally at the end made it a close game. I'm rooting for my Horns, but this should be a difficult matchup for them. A Hamshire-Fannett win by any margin will be a fantastic result.

I’ll be at all of them, too. Got a kid twirling, plus I’m doing some coaching at HF this year and will be a little more present at sporting events.

I don’t know the last time I went to a scrimmage, but watching one tonight this is spot on.

People always talking about winners and losers in scrimmages, but I gotta go with AAW on this one. controlled HF 1, OF 0 two live quarters: HF 1, OF 1, but OF had an INT that would’ve most likely been a pick-6, or at the very least returned very deep. I think they score it, but the refs blew it dead when he was at the 25 or so and HF had some speed guys running that general direction to try and stop him, so who knows. Both defenses played well. OF only had maybe 4 first downs in 4 possessions, and 2 of those on penalties. HF moved the ball, but OF came up with 4 turnovers. HF has to shore things up on the offensive side of the ball. I was talking throughout the game, so if I got any details slightly wrong, please forgive me, OF.

The first two were tipped in the endzone, the first off his own player’s hands. He forced that one but he drew them offsides on a hard count and I assume he thought he had a free play. The last two he forced. edit: I also have to wonder if he forced a little more because the refs were ruling them down as soon as a defender got close so scrambling was basically not an option.
