  1. Leclerc has cost us 2-3 games already, and lost his closer spot already. The bright spot in the pen has been Kirby Yates. He took over the closer role this series and saved his first chance, then today when the rangers scored in the top of the 9th he shut down Detroit in the bottom of the 9th to get the win. He’s 2-0 on the year with a save, pitching 7.1 innings giving up only 1 hit so far with a 0.00 ERA. Hopefully he’s found the form he had for the Padres from 2017 to 2019. If so he could be elite.
  2. Rangers and stros both having this issue. Hader did pitch a 1-2-3 inning today, striking out the side. I was pretty upset the rangers didn’t sign him, but not at this point with how he’s pitched so far.
  3. Not sure why they’re able to do it now, but we delete them as soon as we see them. It’s a pain for sure.
  4. I need something besides a sound bite from a politician. You have some proof of what he’s saying? I can give you a video of Joe Biden saying we have the strongest economy in the world. Do you believe that? Regardless, it doesn’t really matter. If it’s true, it was done under Trump’s presidency, meaning you should be behind it 100%.
  5. You’re going to have to come with a real source before I even think about getting into a conversation with you on the topic. Legitimately go look at some of the other stuff they post on their Twitter.
  6. while i agree, I can at least see how he made this call, even though I felt like it was soft. But for all I know the keeper fully hit the forward in the face. Couldn't really tell from the video. The call that went against Lumberton was atrocious. You can't even make the argument that it was a judgement call. It was clearly not a foul, and the ref clearly blew it.
  7. BPD: Young father shot in car at old fairgrounds with three children in back seat (kfdm.com) Which begs the question: what was this guy doing in a parking lot in the middle of the night with three young children in the back seat? thankfully none of them were hurt.
  8. Unrelated, but Navasota just conceded a questionable penalty with 2 min left in their second OT vs San Elizario. Lost 1-0. Felt like poetic justice after they only advanced because of a blatant dive drawing a penalty in the final minute against lumberton boys.
  9. Great season for the raiders. Celina just that much better, not unlike how lumberton is against all of their region.
  10. PNG athletes (at this time) are still better, and more importantly, bigger, than what Nederland has. Joseph made a difference there, but he came into a loaded program as well that pretty much everyone expected to show a lot of improvement. He would not go to Nederland and turn them into state contenders in a year or two like he was able to do at PNG, although they would without a doubt improve.
  11. The lumberton play was the Navasota player trying a little back heel or something and the lumberton defender poking the ball away. The Navasota player then fell down like his legs had been swept out from under him, even though there was zero contact. The ref was literally right there. I sure hope he went back and watched the play so he can feel bad about his call.
  12. Just went back and watched the Lumberton game, and they got absolutely screwed. Less than a minute and a half left, BLATANT dive inside the box with zero contact, and the ref is 6 ft away and he gives a penalty. Should’ve been a card for simulation. Navasota tied it on the PK and won the shootout later
  13. Rangers beat Houston again as the nightmare start for the stros continues. I’m not mad.
  14. I didn’t trust him coming in, but he’s been dang solid through two starts.
  15. Navasota wins the shootout, and advances to state. Great season for the raiders!
  16. GCM wins 2-1 in OT. lumberton going to a shootout
  17. Lumberton tied at 1-1 with Navasota in OT as well
  18. I consider Goose Creek Memorial local as well since they’re in Nederland/PNGs district. My good friend coaches them. They just scored in the last 5 minutes to send their game to OT against Magnolia West.
  19. There are multiple “real” problems. The one currently being discussed is right wing “news sources”, as well as legitimate politicians, regurgitating patently false information which whips the masses up into a frenzy. That’s a really big problem, and one that republicans should be striving to clean up, but are instead perpetuating. The attitude I often see, and which based on this post you seem to hold as well, is “it doesn’t matter if it’s fake, because whatever they do is way worse”
  20. ironic choice of words there, but I get what you’re saying. But if it’s not one manufactured issue it’s another for many on the right.
  21. it's crazy, considering the whole "fake news" craze, and all of the "low information voter" insults that have been thrown out over the last 6 or so years. Because so much of what gets the right outraged is either misleadingly presented or completely false these days. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty to be upset about, but it's tough when half of what you read is patently false in some way.
