  1. nah, he doesn't like that part. he supports the constitution when it suits him.
  2. So you also support "an AR-15 on every corner", right?
  3. great chance to win another. the rockies are 7-33 this year. Hopefully build some momentum before hosting Houston for 4 games.
  4. A brooks makes the most sense for the team. if they can set a plan in place for him to get his certification they might be willing to make an exception to hire him.
  5. happens to all of us. if their dad had been hired it would still be pretty relevant.
  6. if he is then he's not the only one 😉
  7. There are very few basketball coaches in the state of Texas for whom going to Silsbee wouldn't be an upgrade, at least on the basketball side of things.
  8. would be nice if this is enough to get him out of there for a better republican. but like you said, I doubt it.
  9. I spend lots of time on sabine, but I'm perfectly content to drive through PA without stopping on my way. I did probably 50+ ridealongs with @tvc184 back in the day and didn't see a single neighborhood that I thought i'd want to live in.
  10. there's been one heck of a swing in the outlook for Tiger basketball from where it was 3 weeks ago.
  11. I'm of the opinion that America has always been great, but no period of time has ever been without its warts and major problems. But as a country the left had us heading downhill quick. I'm not nearly as conservative as a lot of folks on here. I'm a libertarian who votes right because I'll never have a viable candidate. That said, the woke left was out of control. Some things that were very necessary (equal rights, gay rights, etc.) came about years or decades ago, and things improved (as they should have), but then just kept going to the point of absurdity. When "protected" classes went from receiving the rights they deserved to being able to step on other's rights to do whatever they want is when problems started. It's been really nice to see the pushback from people with common sense. There should be no debate that biological men not be allowed to compete in and dominate women's sports. People claim to care about women's rights and then push for trans to be allowed to beat them. That's insanity! When gay pride parades involve men walking around with their genitals out in front of children, who's rights are more important? And there are dozens of more examples. I don't love Trump, in fact I can't stand him. I would've taken literally any decent republican over him. That said, I'm perfectly content with him doing whatever it takes to shore up the border and take as many illegals off the government teat as possible. What Biden (or his handlers) did was treason, and it helped put Trump back in office. And I'm not anti-immigration. At last count I've written letters of recommendation for citizenship for SEVEN different immigrants from Mexico who went through legal channels to get here. I'm not sure how the tariff thing is going to turn out, but if it turns out okay then the left (and their biased news sources) are screwed for the next election and for some time to come. The recent presidential and house/senate results are a rebuke of what the left has become, but the left hasn't learned their lesson and are doing the same thing. Their only chance is that Trump's economy fails, and the media is doing all they can to help stoke that fire.

  13. absolutely. Coach Kenebrew is a great guy, and did a great job at HF, and I wish him nothing but the best. He's definitely bettered his situation. HF just isn't capable of paying what some other area districts can afford to pay, which makes it tough to attract/keep quality coaches.
  14. Relatively low pay and added football duties are a deterrent, and also the main reasons the current coach is moving on.
  15. trying to buy us off, but also a different bill. I'd love a nice raise, but it doesn't change how terrible school vouchers will be. Also, I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that the state funding for teacher raises would be temporary, although maybe I'm wrong. If it is, how will my fairly poor district come up with that extra million or so a year to maintain those salaries?
  16. she was! Alzheimer's has taken it's toll on her, but it's my understanding that she still gives her caregivers about all they can handle!
  17. My grandmother's birthday. She turned 87
  18. Rangers started off really hot and have been pretty mediocre, since. If the bats ever get it together they're going to be pretty tough to beat, though. Pitching has been pretty good, other than Rocker, who needs to be out of the rotation at this point. Bats have been pretty anemic.
  19. you nailed it! Or maybe you're just too close to the situation to see the irony of BH folks on here trying to tell everyone y'all don't think you're better than them only for Stevie to make this post
  20. Never tried this, but my father-in-law put campho phenique on a cut i got at the beach one time and I swore i'd never trust him again.
  21. I turned 42 Easter Sunday.
  22. Just curious.
  23. also, why would anyone read that report and think "i better get on the website and rub this in!" that mindset might be the reason some people feel the way they do about the hill.
