  1. Reading these comments is beyond frustrating. I’m #13’s dad and have spent a lot of time around these kids at team dinners and other functions outside of the games on Friday night. They have a very tight knit football family and all love and genuinely support each other. The coaches have built and sustained that culture which I believe is the only thing holding this team together after the last two losses. To be successful, its going to take us as parents to continue to support this team in every aspect. Hollering at the coaches and screaming who to play and when needs to stop. It’s not helping. I know your intentions are good and we all want the same thing, but it is only causing fractures and division. We are blessed to have a group of kids like this that support and love each other as much as they do. Let’s do our best to continue to encourage that.

  2. PN-G taking care of business and is rolling going into the playoffs. Backups were in the game in the 1st Qtr and multiple new kids from JV in for most of the game. Coach Joseph and his program is proven and has the hardware to back it up. It's difficult to get to the state championship and he did it his first 2 years and won one of them. The coaching staff deserves a lot of credit to prepare the players and then get them to execute and make adjustments along the way when needed. All of the sub-varsity teams down to the middle schools are having success. Great job all around. A state championship is not just words or a wish. It's achievable. That's the standard that is real at PN-G.

  3. Thanks 33. You the only one congratulating the kids. Now all this other controversy... Smh. This supposed to be about the kids. Not grown folks getting in their feelings and having an axe to grind and their own agenda. That's what all this stems from. All this controversy and these kids dont care they just want to play Mustang football. They've done it since they were young. The juniors are ready for thier time too. I spoke to one that was very happy to shine late in the game. Starters should've been out and resting after halftime. Trust me when I say this... It'll all work out in the end. Nothing last forever. Only thing guaranteed in this world is change. The leaves will fall.

  4. Doing a lot of typing hiding behind a fake name. Come out, come out whoever you are and I’d love to converse with you haters. Dad was escorted out, he was right there to see his son make two tds, which by the way was the reason the bulldogs were in the game.

  5. I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to Mr. Clay and his embarrassing mouth and attitude. Been seeing it since youth football. He should never be allowed to step foot into another game.

  6. Man, I think of all the players and coaches who have to put up with these comments. If you think negative comments helps your “team”, you’re wrong. To all the players and coaches, all teams have had games just like this. If not, it’s coming. Coaches, get your players together and tell them this was a tough loss, but that you and the fans are behind them. We’ll win the next one and make a deep playoff run. I don’t have a kid playing, I’m just a fan. Don’t take the negative comments to heart because they are not involved. Go Dogs!

  7. I will be posting District Playoff scenarios tomorrow or Monday. Getting all the info on tiebreakers first. Still have three games for today.

  8. My favorite play of his tonight was actually an interception he threw. He pursued the kid who caught the ball when no one else could catch him and he lit his butt up, popping him out of bounds with a shoulder to the side. Kid is amazing

  9. Just have to give a few kudos as a homer. La Porte has now won their 4th straight District Championship (8-5AD1 in 2023, 11-5AD1 in 2024 & 2025, and 9-5AD1 in 2026). They’ve won 24 district games in a row with one district game left this year. Their last district loss was October 6 of 2023 when PAM came from behind to beat them in Port Arthur 38-27. In district play in the last 4 years, they are 28-1.

  10. Very great point! Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, pics of these over the top Team dinners, parents creating their own new slogans and selling shirts for a profit is truly hilarious. They even tried to rename our families Metreyeon baseball field “The Land” a few years ago with T shirts. These parents need to understand this program has been here for years so quit trying to create your own personal culture. This is BIG NED!! Keep it the way it’s supposed to be!!! We don’t need T Shirts for every idea you think up.

  11. Fairly certain that everyone supports the kids. But at the same time can see when there is poor judgement and a very critical time to have a stupid (yes it was stupid) penalty. It was selfish but at the same time the kid needs to have the ball more. The parents, both, seem to be creating friction. Drawing attention to this thread, making posts on FB and taking all credit for the kid keeping the bulldogs in the game but not being able to admit that it was a mistake after that last TD. It’s ok to say it was a poor decision. Dogs have a decent wave of athletes and should do fine but man their parents are wild. Some of the same ones saying “don’t worry coach Barrow, we are in the way” a few years back. Them having a tree lighting ceremony for winning 8th grade district title. Let’s the kids play, teach them humility and team first. The coaches need to step up with culture, it hasn’t gotten better. And there is zero reason to have delay of game on a kick off, tacked on to the unsportsmanlike…also, tackle someone, PNG QB and TC RB looked like prime Barry Sanders

  13. I find it funny that the "Ned Haters" were nowhere to be seen on here through the first 8 weeks of the season (outside of Mr. Pessimistic) but lose in OT to your rival and then fall to a fairly good TC team, and they come out in droves. Fair weather maybe???

  14. Final stats PAM BU Rush 41/242 yards 33/-46 yards Pass 3-11, 46 yds 9-18, 60 yds Total 52/288 yards 51/14 yards FD 18 5 (none in 2nd half) Penalties 2/10 yds 7/70 yds My thoughts: First with Memorial. This was my first time seeing this year. It's kind of hard to gauge just how good a team is when the opponent plays as bad as United. But, some of that bad play was due to the Titans. Memorial defense is very good. Very fast and attacks the ball well. They can bring the pressure when it's needed. Only draw back I saw was in that one offensive drive by BU that resulted in their only score. United QB picked them apart through the air on that drive (was 4-5, 52 yards on that drive, then got hurt). Titan D played a little on their heels in that drive. Outside of that drive, Memorial defense controlled the game. On offense, the run game was very good. Lot's of open lanes to run through. Oline did a fantastic job. Pass game was not that great but wasn't necessarily needed last night. I think that looks to be the weakest part of the offense and basically the team. Memorial will need some sort of a descent pass game in the playoffs. 30 of the 46 passing yards came on the TD pass in the 4th Q by the backup. He definitely looked to be the better passer. Like I stated, very tough to gauge just how good a team Memorial is off this game. As for United, well....... 7 turnovers in 1st half!!! I don't think I have ever seen a game where one team had that many turnovers in a half. Good news is BU didn't turn it over at all in 2nd half. They just went 3 and out on all 4 possessions. United fought bad snaps the whole game. Had 8 in all. Resulted in big losses, safeties and a defensive TD. (Memorial defense had 12 points total last night). Losing Bronson to injury pretty much sealed the deal for United but they weren't beating this Titan team with him. United has zero run game to keep defenses from bringing pressure off the edges. United got beat upfront all night. It was truly an offensive disaster for BU last night. Outside of that one drive where they scored (gained 56 yards of offense on 6 plays on that drive) United had a total of 45 plays for a -42 yards. SMH BU defense actually did quite well last night. They defended the pass very well and stopped Memorial on three 4th down tries. One would think a 56-6 score that the winning team would have more than 288 yards of offense but that wasn't the case. Memorial feasted off the BU turnovers and short fields. I thought United defense did all they could to help keep them in the game (Titans had 3 turnovers as well). In the end, this game was really more about the bad play of United than the good play of Memorial. @Mr. Buddy Garrity

  15. Mr. George has the right attitude. Turn the page, flush the Texas City game, rally your kids, and get ready for Dayton. There is still a lot to play for and high school football goes by fast. Love your son, support your kids, and don't let a PN-G game or Texas City game beat you twice. Once you get in the playoffs, its a six-game grind. After the first playoff game, there are no "home" games. All of that, and get the ball to #10 and #8. On defense, run to the ball and wrap up. Enjoy the ride. It goes by fast. Peace. GO INDIANS!

  16. The game went as most expected.. I’ve seen similar things but I’m not gonna act like there isn’t a major talent difference in the two teams either.. I never bought into people hyping Jasper because of the coaches that were hired… You still have to have the jimmys and joes regardless of what some people think. Which is why WOS had a few off years when Hickman was hired regardless of what people say. WOS did what they were supposed to do to a team that they are much better than. One more week until playoffs!

  17. Some of yall are some real haters. Brayden Clay’s penalty didn’t stop the team from winning. If it hadn’t been for his two quick tds the game would have been over. Blaming him for a penalty, when they got another right after and they scored on the first play. Yall get on this website every week talking crap, and probably never touched a football and just passed out water bottles. Keep the Clays out your mouth.

  18. That definitely cost the Bulldogs the game!!! Inexcusable and the major issue is no coaches will hold him accountable over it. I would bench him to teach him a lesson.

  28. If this district ends in a 4-way tie, BWB is on the outside looking in regardless of the outcome of BU vs RSS. This loss may have taken them out of PO contention entirely. 9-5A had such parity--and inconsistent play due to talent, but youth IMHO--a team that was playing really well may have just been eliminated. Everyone knew you had to bring your 'A' game every week.

  33. Poor tackling and execution the whole game did them in… bulldogs had every chance to run with the lead. Wayyyyy to many 4th and long plays where they scored or converted. My main question and concern is does tackling to the ground even happen at practice? Do they even wrap up and THUD? Wayyyy to much pin ball going on and hoping someone else tackle.

  34. What a pitiful exhibition of football The sad news is the penalty after taking the lead may have been the killer. The OL, DE’s, and LB’ers were horrible The worst tackling I have seen in a long time. Well we will find out next week whether the Dogs finish 5-6 or 6-5. Will have to go to either Montgomery or Huntsville Final question has Nederland ever beat Texas City
