Why are we bashing the OC? Maybe the team just isn’t as good as the past couple years? Team is smaller and has a lot more moving pieces on the OL…seems like Joseph has created a spoiled fan base when most people were crying when he was hired…

LCM was able to take a lot of air out of the ball with some penalty and spot-aided drives, but the horns D made some huge plays to stop them. The 1st team D has given up 3 points in 2 weeks. The offense wasn’t clicking quite as well as they have the first two weeks, but still did more than enough against a solid Bears D. Tough matchup against Stafford next week, who has wins this season against Hitchcock and Bellville.

You weren’t downing the OC, Frodo. PNGFaithful was. There was multiple plays were the OC schemed open multiple WRs and the pass was either dropped or overthrown. It’s just a shame to see people who were crying when Joseph was hired, saying PNG was making a huge mistake getting rid of Faircloth. It seems to me Joseph has been so good he’s created such a spoiled and entitled fan base. You can’t be a state champion contender every year (as much as I’d want them to) it’s just unrealistic.

A lot of mistakes in 2nd half. They made the big plays. Hope to see them in Regional

Honestly we are average to above average. We should’ve won that game last night but Stafford has some dudes. Their RB #5 is really good

41-12 is a fairly large HT lead. Groveton unable to be competitive and worried about safety in the 2nd half. 60% of Groveton roster was sophomores and freshmen.

Woah now..... Same scheme past 2 or so years we had to hear is the best in the area about how they average so many points per game against 2a pre district teams. Its called the oopty oop. 🤣 get it right lol

They are young but the team definitely has potential. I figured they would lose to La Porte but more wanted to see how they would compete. Going in into halftime down 19-21 not bad. Once they find their identity hoping very soon, I wouldn’t be surprise if they upset a few teams.

Probably the best Stafford team they have had in a few years… I haven’t seen HF play but based off the results they look damn good. Stafford ain’t no slouch though they have size and some talent. Side note their band size is impressive as well lol we didn’t get to see their halftime show because of the lightning delay but to put things into perspective they have like 13 tubas lol

Yep. Hard to beat a good team twice in same season.

Shepherd plays them in 2 weeks... lets see if they are nice and let them score on them. last time i checked a 4a-d2 school should know how to play football. especially in the district they are playing in. I'm sure they had a hard time finding teams willing to play them.

This was HSI Katy. They’re in 12-4A-D2 with Bellville, La Marque, Hitchcock, La Grange and Brazosport.

Also, on the 4th and 2 call for Silsbee to go with a QB Sneak the way #55 was playing was crazy. Either you turn around and hand it off or a play action pass on a QB roll out. Trying to sneak that wasn't a good call.

I am a NS fan this week. Even though Ned hasn't played them I am not a SOC fan.

There was a coach at PNG named Moe, back when I was there. Moe O'Brian, who later went to coach at McNeese. I was complaining about a lost fumble during a game once, commenting on how the other team was lucky. Coach O'Brian wheeled around, looked at me and said, "you make your own luck, son". It was a good lesson.
