  1. I have zero problem with HI moving from UIL to TCAL. Got to do what's best. Also, HI has really no reason to consolidate with any other ISD. They operate in the black and just passed a bond to improve facilities on all fronts. Are they experiencing growth problems? Yes. But there are many school districts existing in the state of Texas that have fewer students than HI. It certainly isn't necessary to participate in UIL for a school to exist. High Island ISD has it's purpose for it's own community. That's all that matters.

  2. The dems are always going to vote dem. But I always find it fascinating when the "concerned moderates" and "Never Trumpers" that "allegedly" have traditionally voted R, happily pull the lever for D. The Biden presidency was a complete disaster and a stain on our nation's history. Kamala said she'd "change nothing" about it so a vote for Kamala was effectively just an extension of the Biden embarrassment. The only explanation I can come up with for a traditional R to vote D, is that their brain has been broken by TDS and their soul corrupted with hate for the guy. I'm not getting everything I voted for (and none of us ever will), but I'm getting a lot of it. And it's infinitely better than if Kamala was in charge.

Trump loves him some Trump. Father Time will eventually take are of his narcissism. He’s usually instinctual when it comes to making decisions but I think he went against his instincts on the Iran situation imo. Now he can’t find an exit ramp. I’ve worn weary of his antics. Meanwhile average Americans are feeling the financial pain.

  6. thats not true. in fact because of robinhood they give money back to the state. they have high dollar beach homes and some oil that they are very self sustainable. the improvement on the buildings and modernizing is their only issue which they are correcting. you are misinformed and your simple google searches arent helping.

I'll agree to disagree with you on that one. 50% of the country hates him and another 25% doesn't like him. He hasn't changed his behavior in any meaningful way to address that. If we get killed on the midterms he'll just blame the voters or cheating or whatever else.

  8. You'll need to see what the father actually said, it's in screenshots in the article. It wasn't a paywall for me, I don't pay for that site.

  9. Bryson Kennedy, the highly touted 2029 quarterback from Little Rock, Arkansas who transferred to Duncanville this past semester, was ruled ineligible for the season Tuesday, according to a now-deleted social media post from his father.“I know everyone was looking forward to Bryson being the starting QB for Duncanville, but it won’t happen due to Bryson being ineligible,” Kennedy’s father, Anthony, said in a Facebook post that also appeared to share an email informing him of the decision. Duncanville ISD has not responded to a request for comment. The ruling appears to stem from a podcast appearance Bryson made in February. In his post, Anthony also shared a clip of the podcast, in which his son said “I feel like the opportunity was better for me as a player,” after being asked why he came to Duncanville. Bryson Kennedy was the starting quarterback for Little Rock Central as a freshman in 2025 and already boasts offers from power programs such as Arkansas, Auburn and Missouri. He was expected to compete for the starting job this fall at Duncanville. “I spent over $15,000 moving to Duncanville out of my own pocket; no one paid us, so we returned to our home school, Little Rock Central,” his father’s Facebook post read. Bryson’s X account also no longer lists Duncanville in his profile

  10. In my career and most careers, you are graded on performance and what you do to improve the "business" I grade my Presidents the same way. I grade on what they do for me/family (selfishly because my family comes before anything else) - them what they do for the Country. Despite his Oval office issues, Clinton gets good grades from me, he balanced the budget - Obama royally screwed up healthcare - and started the divide of the country with his big mouth and "beer summit" - So, he was worthless IMO. I gave two examples with mentioning current or previous President😎

Try and explain how the Iran war is about him? He could of easily ignored the threat, kept gas prices low, focused on redistricting and the mid-terms…..but he chose to take care of something other Presidents couldn’t.

  12. Yup… that there was no way that the talent level had dropped and it was 100% on the head coach that they weren’t winning like they should.

  13. Then you better shut down 50% of the public schools in TX. Go ahead, I'll watch.

  15. High Island must want their own school in their community, and having sports doesn't sound like as big of a priority.

  20. I was disappointed in the Brooks’ firing because I like the man a lot and thought he had earned at least another year. Having said that, Jeff hasn’t whiffed on a hire yet and has gotten in the weeds to find some. I would expect this one to be no different.

    Iran War Update

If Iran’s Navy is gone, Air Force gone , nuclear capabilities gone and all their leaders are dead why are we still paying $4 and $5 a gallon for fuel along with the collateral inflation?
