Hats off to a very talented and skilled Westwood team. Our press isn’t what failed us tonight. Was it perfect tonight in the 2nd quarter no, but that’s not why we lost. It’s back to back seasons that have ended because I didn’t have us prepared enough to handle the physical play that takes place this late. That’s my coaching error I will own. I let an amazing group of seniors down and failed. it’s funny how quickly everyone forgets what Onalaska was before the last two years. Before last year our program had zero playoff wins and zero district championships. We now have multiple district championships and back to back regional final runs.

They had to have atleast 20 Official timeouts to wipe the floor. It took most of the rhythm out of the game. But survive and advance!

Prayers up for the Shallowwater community amongst all the chaos. Also a reminder to pour into each other, as you truly never know what the next minute or hour holds. Beat two time defending state champion Hitchcock playing that way last year, beat Westwood earlier this year doing it. They played Westwood closer than anyone else has since December tonight doing it. Go down throwing your fastball, not trying to be something you aren’t.

Heck of a win by Orangefield, Fairfield gave them everything they had and Orangefield kept answering the bell.

Bad wrong. Today, it has SFA and Lamar's records reversed. HCU and McNeese are playing game 3 of their series right now, yet the website has each with 6 conference games already played. Other teams have tried slowing them down all year, how did that work out? Westwood is a fastball, curveball, knuckleball hitting team. Not a whole lot is going to work against them.

You forget about my guy Demarcus Gatlin. He didn’t have a ton of points as he transferred from Alief, but his defense and presence was undeniable. With Clark and Richardson, they were the big three. Not Cam he was still Raw. No offense but he wasn’t a force like that until his senior season. Kelly Oubre and Shawndre Jones will definitely attest to that.

I don't blame you for feeling the way you do. There are very few professions were people blames themselves for their failures. Always looking for some one else to blame. But as Bill Parcels once said, looking for someone to blame? "Look at the man in the mirror." I'd add along with that -- but do not look at the kids in the weight room. Blaming the kids is to easy. As for as Jasper, you may be right about no success. That's if they don't hire a good coach. My advise -- stay away from home cooking. Didn't work out to good for them this past time.
