    PNG @ Montgomery

Pretty sure LaPorte is a very solid team and we held them to 21 points on their turf. They have one of the best RB in the state. Klien Oak also has a very good RB in the state. PNG stop both those backs and we will stop Montgomery running game no doubt. If Montgomery can’t pass, it will be a very long Halloween night for them.

I've been noticing this too. So far this season they have played extremely well away as opposed to home. Maybe some low key coaching to prepare for playoffs. Be successful where you normally would be uncomfortable?

  5. I’m sure he’s keeping that third term option in his back pocket. It is, after all, what any dictator worth his salt would do. Everyone on the left has an easy button and Trump knows just when to push them. I’m gonna miss that when he leaves in 2032.

  6. If we beat them and Anahuac that should help not only yall but us as well especially if Kirbyville loses out.

    Nederland @ Huntsville

Huntsville had 3 of their 4 team captains miss the Dayton game due to injury. The PNG and Montgomery games were rough for team health. The top RB and the top CB are back though. I’ll take Huntsville 37-21.

  8. I would love for this to be a PNG blowout. But it’s pure arrogance to look at this Montgomery team and say we’re going to blow them out. Watch their film — Where’s the obvious weakness? Can we play with them? Yes. Can we beat them? Yes. Is the answer to both questions also “yes” for Montgomery? Yes.

  9. So what about the PNG running game? Coach Joseph is 48-6 in his 4th season and the offense hasn’t changed much at all in that time. #27 & #6 for PNG are as good of RB as anyone has in the district. Yes #1 for Montgomery is a very good player and he will be a handful for PNG to contain but I have watched every single game since Joseph has taken over and only a handful of teams have had a answer to slow down our running game. But you have to pick your poison with PNG this year because our passing game has improved drastically from last season which is needed when you play stronger teams and putting 8 to 9 defensive players in the box puts your defense in a very vulnerable situation playing man to man. I like the fact we throw deep even though we haven’t caught all of them this puts the defense in a bad situation if we do connect it’s 7 points and we have been behind a lot of defenders and either dropped balls right in our hands or the pass just be a little off target. But the fact of us doing that is a game changer for this season. This game will be a great game for both teams getting ready for the playoffs and I pray both teams come out of it injury free and let the best team win.

  10. I agree with Bear Cave’s comments and would like to add that coach Lynch is sorely missed. Even Neumann would tell you that coach Lynch was very valuable at preparing the players for varsity. I’ll go away now.

  11. Barrow was given a bunch of snotty, spoiled brats who didn’t adhere to or care about rules his last few years yet he still tried his hardest to instill professionalism and morals into them like always. Two things about Barrow are that he can turn mediocrity into greatness and young boys into men, but the kids have to want it. I think it’s been long enough that you people should stop blaming the state of bulldog football on Monte Barrow and maybe start looking at yourselves and your sons.

  13. Trump finally admits he is not going to go for a third term......He is so good at controlling the media.... Right now I don't see any Democrat beating a Vance/Rubio ticket, especially on the debate stage, as well as the GREAT work Rubio has done with our foreign policies.....If by the end of Trumps term, the trade deals are solved and all of the wars are ended.......I don't see how they get beat.... I do understand we have 3 years to go and ANYTHING could happen...... Trumps words,,,, "We have great people. I don't have to get into that, but we have one of them standing right here. We have JD, obviously. The Vice President is great. Marco is great, I think. I'm not sure if anybody would run against those. I think if they ever formed a group, it would be unstoppable," Trump said. [Hidden Content]

    Nederland @ Huntsville

On paper, this is a good matchup for Nederland. Nederland’s biggest strength is its agressive run defense. They’re capable of doing the most important thing for stopping the Huntsville offense: Attack the backfield and get to the runner before he can break into open field. On the other side, Huntsville’s defense hasn’t been very good in any game, so Nederland can hope to get some points. The problem is Nederland’s execution, which mostly hasn’t improved all season. That will be the difference. Mistakes, fumbles, missed blocks, poorly timed plays will give Nederland short drives and Huntsville more chances to score . Huntsville wins 28-14.

  18. I just watched the Democrat Minority Whip say that to shut downs are “terrible” and that the people will suffer. But… the Democrats are doing it for it “leverage” because the Republicans won’t meet with them? Is that like when the Democrats were in control and would not meet with the Republicans? Perhaps in their opinion that only goes one way. So a major Democrat representative said that they know families would suffer and they know that the shutdown is terrible, but they will not vote to pay the workers so they can get political leverage. Got it! Thanks for the admission.

PNG defense is quicker, faster and all around better this year and a lot deeper in personnel. Really, this entire team on both sides of the ball will and is causing problems for any opponent.

    PNG @ Montgomery

Not one person has said anything about Montgomery stopping PNG offense. I think PNG body of work to this point has shown we can contain and slow down really good running teams . I don’t see any reason after watching all the games that Montgomery has played to show they can stop our Offense that will be the difference in the game is them not being able to slow us down . Blowout no unless turnovers happen but if both teams play well PNG should win this game by 2 scores

  26. Couldn’t agree more, and they’re still trying to find out how she raised $1 billion and ends up $20 million in debt. Mamdani will be running before long. Like you said, maybe his mayoral stint will teach us a lesson, but we have shown stupidity for too long.

Much improved passing game for the Indians with the same great running game. Much better Defense for the Indians. Same Offense roughly for the Bears, maybe slightly better, and a worse Defense. They lost all but 3 on D I believe?

    PNG @ Montgomery

LaPorte was the biggest challenge this season and PN-G had their best game of the season with a big win. A very talented Huntsville beat us for a half and then we took care of business in the second half. Montgomery is probably the third strongest team we will have faced so far this year. And the final score will reflect that. PN-G 42 Montgomery 17.

  40. The biggest problem i see this year has been the lack of talent at wr we have no ability to stretch the field and as a result teams can load the box...our defensive issues are well noted...this year has nothing to do with Monte Barrow or Scott Rich for that matter its Jimmy and Joe's...every team goes through years like that heck we had one of those years recently in 2022

  41. Congrats PNG on the win and covering the -27 spread. Nederland defense you can say what you want they hung tough… Offense put them in some bad spots tonight. That’s not on the D. The D slowed down PNG O for the most part and gave some chances to the O to do something. Nederland Offense on the other wtf was that…. That was horrible. Option plays? -60 something yards.. Running up the middle on 4th and 5? QB looked great running the ball, getting to the corner, should have more designed runs for him… but overall horrendous Offense showing… the play calling was flat out horrendous.

  42. Let's not kid ourselves, Barrow was fired after 7 years because he was still producing a bad product. Let's not forget Rich was 60 seconds from being the top seed last year. Now, he hasn't even finished his 2nd year. Heck, Neumann didn't set the world on fire his first 4 years. We need to give him a chance and see what next year looks like. We should see a noticeable improvement!
    1 point
  43. Well that's what I'm wondering with the firing of Barrow, if it's not the coaching , but the kids or lack of talent then why was Barrow fired!? I think he would've done just as good these pass two seasons if not maybe a little better (which is not saying much) if he was still there. But what do I know, I'm just going by what I'm seeing on the field, and it's not good!!! If they don't win any more games this season...Sheeesh
