Geeze I haven't been paying attention to all this but BH fan has lost his mind it seems. I've read like two pages and it's just BHFan saying people care too much about hair and Lufkin hates white people like what a weird set of statements in 15 or so post. GL to the new coach at BH but my bet is they aren't the quality of Abseck and there will be some struggles.

At this point I'm not sure I can simplify the points I'm making enough to get them to where you can understand them.

I'm looking forward to getting the actual announcement behind us, start the building process and see what is ahead for the kids and the Lufkin program. Whether it's Carl Asbeck, Jarrod Baugh or whoever the choice will be. I have been steered in so many directions since this all started in December, it will be a relief to get to tonight or Thursday for a choice be made. Let's make this hire and move forward.

I think @Separation Scientist had this one pegged pretty even-keeled for the most part. He seemed to know Abseck had been putting the Eagles in the best chance to win each game with the players/talent BH had available. He defended Abseck when I didn't see others doing the same. Yes, he got defensive sometimes. But, that's to be expected with all the ribbing. I think there are gonna' be a lot of Eagle fans saying 'what the heck!' when Abseck comes rolling into Eagle Stadium with Lufkin & blows the doors off the Eaglets. That being said, wish BH & their new coach best of luck...unless you're playing La Porte. Then, I think you should just look forward to the next game.😁

Warm up game ain't happening. It's kind of funny to me. I see lot's of Kountze folks on social media wanting this game to happen this year. But where were these people the last 12 seasons? Either play regularly or don't play at all. You can't "cherry pick" when or if you want to play. Take the bad with the good.

Well, I expect that from you. Believe the Huff Post over the WH press secretary. Why is that, because she is a well informed white woman? FYI, the freeze has been lifted. Any recipients od meals on wheels missed their meal that you know of? Of course not, but Huff Post did their job reporting non-factual information.

That's what the WH press secretary said, who i don't trust. Others think differently. HuffPost obtained an internal OMB memo requesting information on grant programs from federal agencies. The section for Department of Health and Human Services grants lists special programs for the aging and “senior nutrition,” meaning the grants that go to Meals on Wheels programs are literally on a list of potentially targeted programs.

I think most of the fan base can agree with that. But someone else clearly doesn’t understand much and I’m not going to try and explain it to him. Say what you want about the fan base and Lufkin, but our community wasn’t in the news being called out for the same stuff that you’re trying to portray us to be. I know which community was though and I’ll leave it there.

Silsbee plays teams like West Brook and United (sometimes more than once) early in the year, every year, knowing they're going to lose way more often than not. We don't just decided to call them up for a game when we've got a good team. If Kountze wants to play, then lets make it a yearly ordeal. It could be a fun event. I'm not sure what the Lions have coming up in the lower ranks, so this may or may not be a good match up past this season.

Frame it however you want, but for a school who previously lured Westerberg from Allen and Abseck from Cedar Park, this hire smells like a wet fart. Especially with some of the names who wouldn't even consider working there and the pending move to 6A, Poole may have banished BH football to the island of irrelevancy. There isn't a world where going from Abseck to Simper isn't a massive downgrade.
