The only way I see there being an issue is if school is cancelled for Tuesday due to road conditions Tuesday morning. Even then, I’m not sure they would move the game that night. That’s above my pay grade, but I’ll find out pretty quick.

From understanding, from other sports with similar schedules, It would need to be scheduled on the first available date that isn’t already having a game played. But yes, you can plan an extra game under those circumstances

There is little on God’s green earth I would enjoy more than watching PN-G blow out Cedar Park or Austin Vandegrift. That said, it makes absolutely no financial sense to do that, and the fans will have to travel enough the next few seasons as is.

IMO that officiating was some of worst I’ve seen. The 3rd Q Anahuac I believe had 6 straight possessions with FT. I lost track of how many they shot that quarter. I’d like to go back on video and see.

Yes, Im told Scales got the tech for saying "they have to go for the ball when fouling". The player had grabbed Smith from behind to foul, so he felt he needed to address it. We are still working on that, lol. I am on nights and wasn't able to be there, but I was told this directly.

Much like last season, Silsbee JV is really good again. Not sure the Mustangs that showed up for this one could beat them. I would expect round 2 to be a closer ballgame, I think. Stangs will probably give it a better effort. They really don't have any size though and are worse at getting rebounds than the Tigers are. Biggest difference I'm noticing with Silsbee as of late is much better ball movement and shooting. Hope they keep it up.

This was my first BB game to see this year and I agree with TradenUp about BH going low to the bigs. I am not a BB guy so thats just a casual opinion. It was a great exciting game to see. Ned is tough! They just fouled too much early and it caught up with them at the end. Good job by BH to dig in and pull it out. Also there was a "600 win" ceremony for the coach before the game.

You mean like, let's figure out how Silsbee wants us to play and do exactly that? It was as entertaining as all get out. But it was essentially over by the end of the first quarter. No… the Golden Triangle is BMT, PA, Orange, and anything inside of the triangle formed by those three cities. Or the Triplex, if you were around in the 80s. [Hidden Content] SETX for me is basically anything East of the Trinity up to 190. But schools on the on that 190 corridor are kind of SETX outsiders. Livingston, Woodville, Jasper, and Newton are still in, but barely. Lum and Silsbee, for instance, are SETX but not Golden Triangle. Winnie? Setx, not triangle. Vidor? Triangle. Deweyville? SW Louisiana. It’s simple.

it's also worth noting that since they started playing in 1956, Orangefield has NEVER seen the third round, as best as I can tell, although I may have missed one somewhere. From 1956 to 2012, OF made 12 playoff appearances. In the last 10 years they've made 9 playoff appearances. So yeah, the slot-T has been an overwhelming success for the bobcats.

Kountze’s depth along with the defense they play will cause 95 percent of teams serious problems. It’s the 5 percent that have elite guards where it falls apart because it leads to easy buckets on the other end. Then the question becomes how good is your half court defense? As often as not, it’s relatively weak due to reliance on the press. This is why relatively few teams do this at the next level and the ones that do, use it to eat shot clock vs causing turnovers Having said all that, Kountze could win every game by 20+ until they play a Hitchcock and then they could get beat by 20+ if they are unable to adjust. In terms of Orangefield, Scales is probably the best ball handler I’ve seen there in the almost 30 years I’ve been following (and only a sophomore). This will definitely be the most interesting matchup of the district imo
