Public Address should never ever do play by. PA job is to summarize the play after the play. Give down and distance, acknowledge the players in the play (offense, defense) and announce any penalties that were called. PA is never ever to voice their opinion of a play, call. Just announce the facts of the play. PA is not a radio/video broadcast. Vastly different.

HA! I don’t remember ever having one… Even when it was the 3 Amigos (NS, PAM, LP) playing each other in district or playoffs. I know a lot of folk think 21-6A is the SEC of TXHSFB now—and it is to me also. But, 21-6 was already one of—if not the toughest—when we were all 3 in it. Heck, WB was even somewhat decent back then. 😂 Numerous years NS was repping D1 & LP was repping D2. Of course, the year PAM finally beat LP (the first time ever) 3 weeks after losing again in district to the Dawgs will live on in infamy. If memory serves, NS, LP & PAM were all in Regional Finals with PAM & LP playing each other again that year.

I would hope that they get #5 involved in the WHOLE game. If that’s the case, I would say AP will be hard to stop. Any pass to him inside the 20 is an automatic TD. That would open it up for #24 RB & QB to run more.

I want to congratulate HF they have really come around the last couple of years. Its good to see them doing well. The fans, district, players, and community deserves to have success. Congrats on a great season so far.

Coach has had them prepared every game. Focused. This will be a good game to fine tune the passing game.

Remember when this used to a bitter bitter rivalry. With that in mind I see both squads bringing their best in this one. On the bright neither has to worry about North Shore anymore.

Defense!! Defense!! Defense!! Should be a lot of that going on in practice this week. LCM's DL needs to do their job of plugging holes and linebackers stay focused on the run. I'm sure they're going to be hit from all sides. Vidor will control the ball like they always do and eat up the clock. LCM needs to control the their possessions of the ball as well. But its going to come down to defensing and stopping the slot t. You would think the coaches have figured it out by now. But the question is can the coaches, coach it into the players. I think if LCM starts off like they did last week it will be a close game but they will win it. They can't do like they have in the past and dig them selves in whole that they can't get out of. Vidor controls the ball to good to be playing catch up all night.

I agree with all of you. I cannot stand someone overcalling the game, calling it while the play is in progress (...ITS A FAKE!!! Seriously??), and screaming into the microphone. PA guys are appreciated but just like game officials should professionally do their job but no more. Let the teams and coaches put on the show. Others should not insert themselves unnecessarily.

Decisions can cost PAM in the long run. The offense is limited sometimes, Qb ain't a runner. Defense has to play the run better to go far in the playoffs. Its a still young team.

All of us! Should be another good one though. What neither team needs are injuries. Let’s hope both teams avoid that.

Watched last night. #14 for Crosby is a dude! Kid was impressive. I was hoping PAM would look the part but I went away from the game thinking this season will most likely finish like last. 3rd round loss vs LV. Overall that is a successful season and one to be proud of. [Hidden Content]

Every PA announcer should simply attend 1 professional sporting event and focus on the PA announcer. Mimic that to the best of your ability and it would likely be great for the high school level. Appreciate those willing to do it, but many don't know the role and become a play by play radio announcer and it's beyond inappropriate. School officials know this and should intervene to correct it. However, in a few situations it's a school official doing it and that individual loves the "stage." David Brady (Texans) and Bob Ford for the Astros do a tremendous job.

It was a sloppy game all around on both sides. I don’t understand why #5 didn’t get the ball much. Each time he got it it was dangerous for the Bobcats. One TD he literally carried 3 Bobcats into the endzone & broke about 3 tackles. i have to agree that the line Judge on Orangefield side called 2 terrible “Targeting” penalties on each team. No way was those two targeting. It was helmet to helmet but both weren’t with the Crown of the helmet. But they may have changed the rules. There were lots of mouthing on both sides. good win & I’ll be interested in seeing AP and O play Kirbyville. It could be a 3 way tie.
