The whole District improved. LCM had a great run. Vidor lost their first game by 5 to the improved 4th place finisher, Chapel Hill, who’s in the State Semi-Finals. Huffman & Lumberton made a good account of themselves before falling to Kilgore & Lindale. I look for the whole District to improve again next year. The four teams going forward in 2022 will be formidable.

Jennings has enough players but just off of looks this one won’t last long either.

That’s exactly right. Crosby played in 31 games in two years. That’s more than a lot of schools play in 3 years. Great season Crosby !

Crosby goes down without a fight tonight. Tough one for the community to watch us exit on. Didn’t even look like we were prepared to play. If the numbers hold firm and Crosby does move up to 5A-D1 it’s been a hell of a 10 year run. Oddly enough it was bookended by embarrassing playoff losses to the slot-T. Considering where we came from I’ll gladly take 3 regional titles and a trip to the finals. Back when the UIL split 5A I said Crosby would be one of the biggest benefactors and we were. We finished one game shy of playing all 32 this last realignment. Now we may move into the deepest division in THSF. I’m looking very forward to seeing how we respond next year.

Im thru to halftime on watching the game right now, this should've been 14-14 or 21-14 LH. Mine you im non bias. Watch the game with clear eyes. Wth was that when Crosby was inside the 5 on the 1st offensive drive? And why #12 got no productive touches? Wasted 1st half. Totally predictable. Plus #20 the stud RB went out. Hmmm i know a certain Orange County school who's stud rb got hurt too that affected the game vs CS I'll comment on what I see 2nd half afterwards.

As good as United is, they would get beat pretty soundly (imo) by Duncanville. Duncanville just took down Montverde last night. While this is by no means the Montverde of a couple of years ago, it is still a national powerhouse. The fact that a public school team beat them is incredibly impressive. Having said that, Duncanville may not recruit nationally, but it certainly does an excellent job recruiting the metroplex.

I'll say this, too. The best 4 teams in 4A are in Region 3. That's right, I said it. CS will prove it next week.

Sounds like they need to schedule Vidor for preseason. They might get beat but atleast they would see that offense more than once

😂😂 we have a young team but after their top 6 or 7 they look like jr high kids.

Because when I say that, I say they team just looks un-athletic or the team with that one kid that has all the uniform accessories like head band, arm and leg sleeves, Nike socks and the James Harden shoulder strap thing…. That kid can’t hit a single shot in warmups and blows left handed layups in warmup drills. Those kind of teams…. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣

I'd take Fairclothe over Rio if given the option because he did a lot with the talent he was given. I don't think Rio would be any more successful than BF but I'd take him in a heartbeat over JDC and Langston. If PNG has an honest hiring process then they should draw some great candidates . Just my opinion and nothing more. Best of luck to your Indians during this process.

Congratulations to Liberty Hill, definitely played with emotion and a great plan. There offense is so unique it may be enough to win state next week. To Crosby, it hurts now but you had another outstanding year. You are putting your name in statewide contention with the Jaspers, Marts, La Vega s, Westfields, and the like. I think this sums it up best. And likely Peevey didnt vote for himself, but Mathews did. Anyway, these awards are more for the players. Congrats too all of them.

I think the guy they have at the helm is a winner, with the talent pool where it was this year to get to the 3rd round was very successful.

To put the loss of gales in perspective.What would have happened to CS if their QB had gone down.I think they would have struggled a lot more than we did.

Crosby already plays Dayton once. They would have to play them six times in that district. The one positive is that we would be able to get a first hand look at the players in our GCCISD farm system. Probably could've gotten that receiver from Lee that just committed to Vanderbilt. Outside of playing a weaker schedule one of the biggest negatives I see is even is more hostility from the GCCISD coaches towards kids who are trying to transfer to a better situation for them.
