I want to say this. While I still can… I have not always been a super big supporter of BF. I knew we needed change, and maybe because he was an outsider, I didn’t give him the Danny Malone chance. Malone had fire and was US from day one. I felt at first BF was not US. But if you look at the big picture, I think he has done a good job overall. I have seen some of the most exciting games under his coaching, as well as some of the most disappointing. But this year is an example of putting together a season that we overachieved. He has had his struggles with Nederland. But so did Matt. He has has 3 of the best QBs in our history, Doty, RJ, and Bost, and has made us respectable. He has taken kids like Morse, and Miller, and made them into good HIgh School quarterbacks. You hear about our defense, but if you look at demographics, we just do not have the talent, to be great on both sides. PAM and Lumberton moving down has hurt both us and Nederland with move ins. And our area is landlocked, and what used to be prime jobs, is mainly contractor jobs, folks moving in and out. Drive around and see all the trailer parks filled up. I think his goal was build a facility and get some guys in. But the indoor facility was shot down. We had turf first, but now everyone has it. So we are not on a higher level as far as facilities go. What I will say, is that he has won games we should not have one. Kept us in games we should not have been in, and lost games we should have one. But that’s the life of a coach. Overall he has done a great job. He will leave as the winningest coach in our history. And he made us relevant on several occasions. I think his 2 best coaching feats, was a loss to Manvel, which his play calling kept us in a game we had no business being in. And the win against WOS, that broke a long drought. A guy like BF will be hard to replace, simply because we are not the talent pool, booming area we once was. So if I was to rate him, as of today, he would get an A………. Anyone can read this and take it how you want. But I think we have been lucky to have a guy who made us a good offensive team, and made us relevant at times. Times change, people change, and high school football changes. The Todd Dodges of the world are hard to come by. I think the key, is to take ideas from the Dodges of the world, advance them, and keep Texas High School football relevant. Dynasty’s come and go, but the Friday night lights will always be a part of Texas.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure 1-800-555-ROJO is disconnected right now. They're going to have to do something they usually only do once or twice a year and that's play above average defense. PNG should feel very comfortable in Stallworth, that's almost like a homefield advantage over Montgomery who I'm not sure has every played there?

People are currently losing their livelihoods because they won’t take something that wears off in six months and could possibly cause serious health problems including death. Take a moment and ponder how monstrously stupid people have become.

Off topic - as I'm not a resident and couldn't have a valid opinion on topic even if i wanted to. I'm just shocked Coach LeFort's son is already a senior?! Well that makes me feel pretty old now, thanks. Coach Lefort in his early coaching days at Vidor helped shape me into the man I am today. He wasn't even my position coach, but he always had time to talk when I needed him. Good man. Will always have positive things to say about him.

PNG has some good memories of shootout at Stallworth they'll need a similar performance.

Punting from your opponents 30 tells me about all I need to know about the coaching staffs confidence in the Marshall offense.

Despite the outcome of the playoff game. Watching what Kountze did this year was pretty awesome. They haven't been to the playoffs since 2014. Congratulations to the kids on that team, the parents that support them, and the coaching staff. I don't know what they have coming up, but I wish them all the best in the future.

Let's see here. Scott Bartlett - Son in 8th grade and son in 7th grade. Brandon Cropper - Son in 9th grade and son in 6th grade. Dustin Marsh - No kids in high school or even close to high school yet. Dallon James - Very young kids. Eric Sullivan - Has had sons play and be very successful for Faircloth. I am not sure how much his senior plays but I know Eric and he is not going to push for a coach to be fired because his son is not a kid getting the most playing time. Jake Lefort- His son is on varsity and is a senior and he plays. Lana Parker- Her youngest is over 40. I am sure she isn't riding the pine at PN-G. I personally know every person on the board except Dallon. Please don't pass along rumors that could be harmful when you have no idea if there is truth in them.

Not bad at all for "Lil ol HJ." Went into this tourny as the only 4A and finished 4-1 with the only loss being to a top 15 NATIONALLY ranked team. That game was a tale of 2 halves, didnt really shoot the ball well the first half but then they came out in the 2nd half and played Duncanville pretty even. 40-36 in the 2nd half. Great showing for them Lady Hawks

Faircloth won't be bullied into doing what school board member's want him to do! I was told that some kid's of the school board are riding the pine and don't want him back. I believe his contract is up after this season. The Indian's have been pretty successful since he got here. A lot of people hate that every year the defense is terrible. I'd rather watch an entertaining offense versus a great defense and no offense. That's about what we were getting after Long left. Faircloth in my eyes has been a pretty damn good coach. Every year we have a pretty damn good QB. And a lot of that is on him. I'm hearing his contract won't be renewed but I've heard that many times. People better watch what they wish for. Change does not mean better in many cases!

I hear you and I agree with all that but the last part. My skin is so thick its off the charts. No one, and I mean no one can get under my skin, no matter what they try. My life is WAY too big and WAY too good for anyone, especially on any high school message board or any social media to rattle me. It does seem though that I really matter (round the clock) to some, even though that is never my intent, but that's on them, LOL. It really is all good. BTW I am an ex collegiate athlete. Just sayin.

This season was such a fun ride and see the Pirates have so much success especially with it being my nephews last season. It was definitely a tough loss Friday, and som of the play calling at the end of the game, I'll never understand. But it is what it is, and a reason why I'm not a coach! lol and I'll never make excuses for what could have been. Great season Pirates, can't wait til next year!

FB Marshall got outplayed, out executed , out conditioned , ....THEY GOT WORE DOWN. Watch the game on TexanLive. BH controlled the game from midway 2nd Qtr until the end of the game. BH punched them in the mouth and staggered them. Who you play early in the year and how tough a district your in is important heading into the PLAYOFFS.

Wait a minute. You mean to tell me you think that “Screwed Up Click tour” comment was as awesome as I did? I didn’t think many of our posters knew who that was? I don’t have a Facebook but that was definitely the post of the year in that group from what my cousin told me. That guy is right though. I wasn’t high on BH beating FBM until I saw the FBM vs Madison game. FBM won the game 56-0 but what I saw was a team prime for the picking. Think about it, BH just beat the #2 team in the state but was three points away from a catastrophic result against Dayton. PNG is an overtime loss away from finishing second over what turned out to be a 10-1 Texas City. The district makes our records suck but boy does it get us ready.

Personally I can't wait until next year when we get a lot of these boys back for another season. Good job Raiders, Pirates and Falcons for a great season. Congratulations LCM Bears on you win, represent district 10 4A Div. 1 well.

Nah, I think I’m going to Cypress to do some scouting. Plus, I’m the one in the family my uncles call when they have “car trouble” because they know I’m going to the game. Their cars always seem to work when the game is less than an hour away though🤔

Man, it's taking everything in me not to agree with you and just come out and say this should be a 63-21 mauling. I mean, Marshall has put absolutely nothing on film this year to worry about. Their defense is decent but if their offense is going to give us extra possessions because they can't move the ball consistently then how long can that defense hold up against our offense, assuming we play like we're capable of? They're smaller and slower than the Texas High team we destroyed last year so unless we come out and lay an egg I think we should comfortably make it to Thanksgiving weekend.

Apparently the child vaccine urgency is so dire it warranted a presidential visit to Texas Children's Hospital this weekend. Above importance of the border immigration concerns, the shipping and supply gridlock on the west coat, well, the list goes on.

Hey don’t give 14.2 too much praise, don’t need him to get a big head!😊 Not only is he knowledgeable, but was a very, very good high school player. We should have done much better as a team with him his senior year. And he loves getting under your skin.

Horton, our defensive success this season is because of our first year defensive coordinator Malcolm Bronson. He is a Jasper alum who is/was a helluva athlete himself. He had a VERY GOOD college career at Mcneese State resulting in his going to the NFL. Two years with KC then two years with Chicago (he also was drafted by the KC Royals baseball coming out of highschool in 2008). Not taking at all from the young men we have on defense at all. they are athletic and give it their all on every play. I am sure other Jasper fans would agree that it's not as chaotic and confused at times on what's going on. We have been doing somewhat better on offense lately and I like to think we have improved on the execution of whatever type of offense it's called. Maybe a new type called RANDOM is appropriate, with each week being a mystery for Jasper fans. LOL. But I also keep in mind the defenses we have played. take care and the I wish yall the best the rest of the way.

Honestly 3-7 imo. Peevy moved players around and there more kids on the varsity team then years past. Peevy recruited some off the basketball kids from the LCM team to play. Crouch was a good guy. But he was not a great leader and could not get the best out of the kids. Crouch mentality along with Hargrove was don’t ruffle any parents feathers and try to make it to a bi district game. Honestly it’s sad because LCM had great talent 2 to 3 years ago but it just went to waist side.

I may have missed if and if I did I apologize but I’m very surprised no one has posted on here that United is ranked #11 nationally per Max Preps… Rather we’re not surprised or we are that’s big for these young men, and goes to show the time and effort put in, specially with the way Basketball is in general with recruiting, Transfers, etc. These are all local/neighborhood kids ranked with some of he best teams in the nation that recruit. This is a very big deal Congratulations United.

Been years since we last won our first game of the season lol. Bottley played from football. Didn't see too many others.

Two point conversions. How many two point conversions have they attempted all year? Very few and the ones they have weren’t successful. choosing to run Dodd on a two point conversion instead of QB sneaking in. Running Dodd knowing he wasn’t 100%. He couldn’t cut and run like he normally could. That hurt more than it helped. No adjustments: The QB position should be very questionable for next year. Got to call it like I see it.

That 4th and 1 on the QB sneak was very questionable. Id have lined up Miller at QB with Dodd and let one of them run for it. There were 5 or 6 plays innthe 2nd half that I didn't think were so great but the penalties were the biggest difference. Im excited about what t the future looks like. Silsbee needs to have a mobile QB to put more pressure on the defense.

It worked all season, it was our blueprint, the game plan, our identity and they went away from it in the most urgent time of need. Like someone else said earlier, they really let the defense off the hook with that play calling.

Along with bad play calling and no adjustments.

I'm doing the best I can. I'm taking care of most of the boys side and was hoping someone would take on the girls side of things. Like was stated earlier, WOSGrad spent countless hours on this site. He was medically disabled from working so he had the time (and love) to spend on getting the content up on this site. I simply do not have his time. I am currently getting the boys basketball forum up to date and will try to get some schedules posted over here.

Well, I don’t know if you kept up, but one of our main guys…. An admin here passed away this summer. He was the one that was responsible for putting all this together. Right now, we are still trying to shuffle things around to bring all that valuable content here.

I’ve seen Bottley and I know she can go. But let’s make mention that BU all state/21-5A MVP Princess Anderson didn’t play either. She averaged just north of 30 PPG & 5+ steals per game last year.
