Kinda crazy the way they determine district champs these days. You can’t compare full season win/loss records? You can’t look at head to head results to determine the champ? We just give it to both or everybody who has the same district record, a 3 way tie I could understand with losses amongst the 3 but with 2 teams… come on now. This was determined on the field but anyhow, congrats to both teams. Co-District Champions and much luck in the playoffs to all the local teams. Sorry not you Huffman, SETXsports takes 1, 2 and 3 this season.

Congrats to Huntington for earning a playoff spot. Won 47-34. Had to win by 12 to make playoffs.

One other unique thing about this win, rarely (hardly ever) seen Vidor win a game by kicking XP’s. Kudos to the kicker, even if he does kick from the wrong side.

Congratulations to both teams. Two programs that have turned it up. Vidor was 4th in district last year and now they are the 1st seed and now LCM 1-8 last year new coach and a new identity is at 2nd spot. Good luck in then playoffs let’s see if we can sweep Beast Texas

No doubt, what I mean is that in the playoffs with the FBM's coming at you, doubling down on those good mental habits will help. Luck always plays a part. Some of that luck is made by mental anticipation. Physically, you guys are good. Time to make you some luck. PNG just needs to make more luck than y'all, lol

Matchups are (best as I can tell): Vidor vs Chapel Hill LCM vs Palestine Ltown vs Lindale Huffman vs Kilgore Btw Raiders, Lindale lost their RB to a broken bone. Wishing all our Dist 10 teams the best. I’ve posted earlier on another thread, probably the strongest 4 teams Dist 10 has sent to the playoffs, and as someone replied, maybe ever. I think all have a legitimate chance. Will take a few breaks, but a football bounces funny. Dist 9, as always, sends four good teams. Even Chapel Hill is a formidable opponent and could win District in many 4A-D1 Districts.

I don’t think we can pretend like we walk through the second round we will need to play a very good game in round 2.

Watched what I could, read what I could…couldn’t get/find a radio station…oh well. From what I could tell, someone forgot to tell l-town it’s a 48 minute game. Vidor did what they had to do in the first half to keep it close and within striking distance. Even with all the penalties and not so great execution on offense…then BAM The Pirates struck! Defense picked up the pressure, offense ground-n-pounded to a win! INT to seal the deal! It’s a great day to be a Pirate!!

This is the 5th time since 2014 that Crosby has come into the last game of district play undefeated. This makes the 4th time we failed to bring the A-game to close the show. Fortunately Crosby is good enough this year that our B-game can beat most. Made us out healthy so that’s the biggest victory of the night. Great job tonight by Nederland’s 22 seniors, I believe? I say it all the time, more than any team Crosby plays on a regular basis Nederland is the team that gives Crosby the most fits. They did so tonight and I honestly didn’t expect anything less. I’m actually glad they made Crosby take it off cruise control.

This was one wack season, the pick ems in this district had to be tough. Like you have Nederland getting blow out by BH but then BH almost losing to Dayton….and then BH and Crosby going to the wire….one of the weirder seasons for sure.

At this point, it’s just a moral victory for Us to be in the playoffs. That and a weak district.

All other bulldogs, tough season everyone has them. Lots of good players on that team think you might need a great off season to be ready for next year but keep heads up and grind like bulldogs do.

Great job by both teams tonight. If we had to lose tonight glad it was to Vidor!

Crosby makes it to round 3. Marshall is no pushover in round 2. FBM will be waiting in round 3. Then if they beat FBM either Montgomery or Texas High will be waiting. They have a shot at wining region 3 again.

Vidor ball 1st and 20 at the Ltown 38 QB keep Middle got about 7 2nd and 13 run left strung it out no gain 3rd and 14 now QB roll right had a guy open but sees green grass in front takes off running nice moves he’s in TD Vidor!

Vidors ball turnover on downs at the 25 run wide right pitch gets a good gain about 8 2nd and 2 another nice run off left tackle gets a first down
