Those were the official stats of the game. Silsbee was the better team last year. The better team this year. Giddings was "lucky" the game was closer than what it should have been. It's hard to take your comments seriously when you stated that Giddings had a tougher schedule than Silsbee had last year. That was hilarious!

Four... Silsbee, WOS, Newton, and BH. correct me if I’m missing any other SETX teams that are still standing after the second round. WOS and Newton are annual locks to still be in action for week 3 and Silsbee isn’t a surprise to still be rolling either.... BH being the only “dark horse” still in the thing. I can’t remember a season where so many were done so early on. It’s hard to argue with anybody saying that setx football is down... for now anyways.

I'd be shocked if there was a coaching change. We had such a hard time finding someone that wanted to be there and he's doing a good job. People are overreacting to one bad night. Question for Jasper fans. Who's out there that would want that job that would do better? Be careful what you wish for.

I don't know about so called racial mix, but Carthage has done a good job of getting the fat boys out of the welding shop and on the to field. Their O-line the last several years dominates. Yes its good scheme and coaching, but this day and time ,getting kids to come out into the heat and play, and lift weights all year, it is not an easy task. It's easier for kids to do other things, like chase girls, Deer, make money, or play video games. Just my observation.

I’m not sure you can humanly stop big plays with FB Marshall. When #5 gets the ball, watch out. Huntsville gave up at least 6 big plays against Crosby and still won, so I’m confident the Hornets can win this one. PS: to Huntsville coaches: please do not kick off deep.
