Coach Foster at Big Sandy deserves some credit. He always seems to get the most out of the group he has, and is never afraid to play up in competition.

This is good news. However, there are other players involved besides the Kurds and Turkey. The Syrian regime, and Russia, which supports it. After the U.S. withdrew completely from the region and left the Syrian Kurds without a partner. Syrian Kurds made a pact with Russia and Assad. This gave Assad permission to move into parts of the territory that the Kurds with American help, retook from ISIS. I pray it all works out and that ISIS doesn't regroup. Russia is not to be trusted and at this point no one knows the end game. I commend the administration for stopping the blood shed.

As much as I rag on our head coach, you can't put that one on him. He was an hour away at the JV game. ANYBODY that has been around the game wouldn't get greedy like that. Take a knee, get the win and get on the bus to go home. Whoever made that decision to throw the ball probably won't have too much decision making power in the future...

Grapeland had more to do with that game last week than anything Colmesneil did.......WE dogged Deweyville with starters v starters in game situation 24-0 in a half.......you are going to be one very disappointed individual after the game tonight......

They had 8 seniors last year, not too sure about their JV though. Coldspring is the team to beat in 3A.

It's a coaches responsibility to check the proper box on all transfers. If it's athletic reasons, check the box. UIL requires the coach to do so.

Agree with this - I think it's an ethics issue - if the coach believes for any reason that the kid is moving for athletics he should check that box and let the new district or school investigate and make their own decision - unfortunately I have seen too many times when there is more than enough evidence that the move is for athletic reasons the new district still just signs off on allowing the kid to play - ESPECIALLY if the kid is playing something other than football!

Grapeland played horrible last week. I watched it. Grapeland fumbled at least five times and looked lazy all night. Colmesneil capitalized on their mistakes. WH takes this one. They just have more talent than Colmesneil. Senior heavy across the board...WH by 4Tds.

No one from Silsbe wants to believe this but talent is talent. Whether it’s a freshman or senior. They have too much talent to not utilize it. Play your kids if you want to be a successful team.
