    Legacy @ Hardin

I think I read somewhere that there have been some Hardin RBs go off to play college ball. So if you.. I mean White.. aren't playing college ball anywhere right now then you..I mean he..aren't the best running back to come through Hardin ever for sure.

  2. I understand the whole situation, and maybe I'm just over analyzing things. But, if Shug is truly the Qb of the future why would you consider burning his redshirt? Plenty of athletes in the system to get a few useful reps out of at the RB position. Shug is 1 of only 3 qbs on scholarship. And more importantly one injury away from being the backup qb. Even worse, he gets injured and there's no #3. Ehlinger is certainly suspect to injury with his style of play. I guess the part about him playing special teams really puzzles me. Not many backup qbs playing special teams....Maybe the holder on extra points and field goals? Again, maybe over analyzing but could this be an opportunity to move him to another position? Whatever the case, best of luck to this young man looking forward.

  10. generally speaking on the subject, you have to consider other things besides coaching people....LIFE! families are moving to other places now. talent is getting spread out. seems as though districts are opening new schools every year. another factor is, maybe, juuuust maybe other programs are building up now and no longer intimidated by history and atmosphere. too bad teams and/or fans can't shake that mentality in setx...well one team/fan base has atleast....maybe two.

  12. I dont think the situation had anything to do with talent or lack thereof at Navasota but had everything to do with the school board there.

  15. I remember Jasper beating them 82-0 in '89 and then losing to them a few years later. They have athletes, but coaching makes all the difference in a place like that.

  27. I’m assuming Bush stayed at Silsbee. Should be a good series with them and HJ. Too early to pick regional matchups but Connally could be a team to watch out for.

  28. Untrue, and I talked to our previous HC about this very thing just awhile back. But hey if you wanna run with that in your post by all means do so. I'm still trying to figure how you can play a team when your schedule is already set.

  29. From what I've read is that he wants to play and they need him. He ask the coaches to move him there so he could play. They have had crucial injuries in the running back position. His future as QB is still there and they are working on his mechanics, but gotta respect a kid who is a team player. They have him weighing in at 223 right now which is good size.

    Herman's Texas Longhorns

He is still listed as the 3rd QB on the depth chart released yesterday and my sources tell me this is just temporary at RB. Him going in at RB is in worst case scenario. Although he might see some time this weekend because Ingram is battling a slight knee sprain and Whittington is battling some flare ups from a hernia surgery he had in high school.

  33. Pig, I just went back and watched the highlights of the scrimmage on Dobie's Maxpreps page. If I didn't want my QB getting hit, I would have had him wearing a red jersey. Guess what? They didn't have any of their QB's wearing a red jersey the entire scrimmage and with the type of offense they run, they were asking him to get hit. All of ours wore red jerseys, hence the reason the refs blew the whistle early when it came to our QB's. So you saying our coaches changed the rules is BS and sounds like you are the one full of crap...
