Hardin's first undefeated season ever. Congrats, Hornets!!!

(Just for the sake of further discussion.) I already made the PNG-Crosby comparison several pages ago. That was a definite rules violation. Reportedly, per the experts on this thread, there was no rules violation per se in this LCM-BC instance. So, this is only an ethics question. Also if LCM "returned" the watch, in whatever manner they said they returned it, then was it actual stealing? Or did they just borrow it. I guess you could say they did steal it for ~15 minutes or so. I agree with you, btw, but it was interesting yesterday at the weekly golf game I participate in, this was discussed among the group. All six guys in our group immediately sided with LCM. No poker game marked cards comparisons; it was mostly sign-stealing comparisons. "BC should have kept up with their equipment, etc, and acted accordingly."

I agree, however I suspect it would result in another ban quickly.

What Week 11 game(s) will you be attending?

Fixed it for you. Friday night I can't attend the PNG-Dayton game, so I'll be looking at PNG and Nederland games on line, while watching the other scores. -

I think Lumberton wins this but LCM has a chance to steal it.

I’ll be rooting hard for BC in the playoffs, just like to give our neighbors & rivals a hard time. That’s what makes all this fun.

Tarkington and Huntington were not in that district.

My two cents re: ArmbandGate. There may not be evidence that stealing the armband (That’s what it was. The instant he intentionally did not return the armband to its rightful owner while knowing it wasn’t his to keep, it became a theft) helped LCM win the game, but it’s evidence that at least one LCM coach (1) stole from another team, (2) lied when he had an obligation to tell the truth, and (3) took steps to cover up his theft even while direct inquiries were being made to him about the armband’s location and what he did with it. That has to be punished. If an attorney did something like this in a trial he might be disbarred. And, the team should have had to forfeit the game. Letting LCM skate on this invites exactly the message people are making here today, that “it must not have been that big of a deal if it didn’t warrant a forfeit.” It’s very much a big deal, an astonishing example of bad faith and dishonesty from a public employee in charge of children. It was a blatant violation of sportsmanship, human decency, and the law. Most of us will remember that in 2018 PNG had to forfeit a game they won against Crosby under less severe circumstances. A coach had an iPad in the press box - Against the rules. So, even though it was agreed by the district members that there had been no effect on the game’s outcome, PNG was forced to forfeit. There was no lying, or hiding evidence by PNG as there was by LCM - it was simply, “You broke a rule and we have to send a message.” LCM broke the rules, and the district should have sent a stronger message.

BC and HJ were running from competition. They were escaping having to play Silsbee, Jasper, WOS, and HF. The decision couldn’t have had anything to do with travel, since they moved from one local district to another local district. And, the local 4ad1 district is absolutely not of high quality. The top 3 this year in the local 4ad2 district would be the top 3 this year in the 4ad1 district. The same would be true most years.

Of course you aren't one of them -- right?! I'll leave it at that!

Excellent. With this bunch and the 17 returning starters Ned's future does look bright. To all those that are down on the situation -- just relax, Ned's day will come.

Your comment is indicative of what's wrong with a lot of people on this site , delusional, disingenuous jackasses that are incapable of telling the truth. I clearly listed physical attributes such as speed and jumping ability that can't be taught, u either have them or you don't. If thompson and Hooks were so infaillible and NEVER lost if one were to believe half of idiocy that comes out of some people's months, why doesn't WOS have the record for having won the most state championships. As far as PNG is concerned they got their asses stomped last year by a team and a coaching staff several people said the coaches can't coach, let me guess who you think the better coach is!!! Just admit it , if this current coaching staff won 80 games in a row and 5 state championships , people like yourself would still be nitpicking and criticizing because you don't like who has the JOB !!!

I spoke to Jim last week at length and told him I’d be in attendance for the SC/WB next weekend at Campbell. He mentioned he doesn’t do rankings anymore. Also no mention of talking with anyone about them. My first state Tournament was in 1982, in support of Beaumont Hebert, but I have no recollection of it. The first Erwin center trip I can remember with frontal lobe development is 1988, with BJ Tyler and company (also Sallier if I’m not mistaken). And have been to 90% of them since that point. I am not a media person, but again it’s just my opinion. No need to apologize, I’m just kindly providing insight.

Don’t know him but have heard this from multiple sources I know and trust. Now stop trying to lend sanity and reason to this otherwise trainwreck of a thread. P.S. to mods - can we lift Cardinal Backer’s suspension for this thread only? I feel like he was made for this thread.
