  1. Past hour
  2. Zero chance HJ would have made the playoffs in D2.
  3. Today
  4. huffman has more impressive stats but has its competition been as good lc-m's? i don't know about that.
  5. Also says he was promised $4 Million bonus for 2024 election win. This is in addition to $4 Million he was already paid! Need to watch this squirm! [Hidden Content]
  6. Absolutely no idea. I don't follow all the rest much, until the seedings and playoffs arrive. All I know is region 3 is strong, and the local district teams have not won a first round playoff game in a few years. I think Hardin can at least get a playoff win. Physicality will matter. Whatever the case I am happy for Hardin.
  7. Are the Democrats weaponizing hunger? With the Schumer shutdown it sure looks that way!
  8. I know La Porte has a really good freshman RB but I'm guessing they dont think he's ready for varsity yet....I think if they had a back even close to Ruffin they'd move Ruffin back to defense full-time and only use him sparingly on offense....I also think in the playoffs regardless we'll see Ruffin and Smith get snaps in key moments in the secondary....
  9. I believe it was just the 2nd Qtr when Duron got hurt, if thats when it happened, my guess was the plan was probably to pull him at halftime...its unfortunate for Angleton....
  10. competitive equity....if you have a district say 7-4A D1 and those teams were all in the same combined district you'd have a school with 1,200 kids in the D2 bracket because the top 3 teams are all over 1,200 playing schools with 600 kids....huge difference Its the biggest complaint about 6A is occasionally you'll get a really large school go D2 (Katy for example) and they dominate
  11. You simply didn't have to mention Woodville if you didn't think we'd get past the first round since the topic is about teams who will go 3 rounds or more. You just couldn't help yourself I guess 😆 I think Woodville should at least get past the first round and probably be a little better next year. Things can go downhill quick when this sophmore group graduates if the coaching is no good though
  12. I stay away from Tues-Thurs. college games. Every now and then play some Friday games when they are lumped in on my high school ticket.
  13. Why didn’t anyone tell me that Texas State was gonna turn the ball over 4 times and play zero defense?
  14. I’m still a little confused why Duron was still in the game up 42-0, or 42-6, against a team your JV could beat anyway. Injuries can happen any time. But, that just seems a little foolish. He was in the game late last week also, and Angleton was up by 60. Sorry. Have to question the coaching decisions on some of that. LP kept Ruffin out for 2 games when he was a little dinged, and Simon’s carries have been kept down these last games. The passing game has been used more. Also, Berneathy has brought in subs early for 3 of the last 4 games. Crosby was the exception. Players getting valuable experience, and minimizing chances for injuries to starters as best as can be done. I wasn’t a fan of the alternating QB situation at first either. But, LP’s making it work, and they now have—basically—2 starting QB’s.
  15. Meh, i'd still give the advantage to Shepherd.
  16. You’re not wrong. My point is the only thing Ned’s defense has been good at is being aggressive attacking the runner and getting to the backfield. That lines up well with what Huntsville is trying to do. PNG, Montgomery, and Lake creek were very successful being aggressive against the run, and Huntsville doesn’t really have a plan B. They’re not good passing. So, Nederland needs to sell out completely against the run. Force them to win through the air. Yeah, Ned’s secondary and linebackers aren’t good, so just have the linebackers attack gaps and tell the secondary to do their best. That’s basically your best shot and it plays to the only thing Ned’s good at on defense.
  17. What’s the most common reason why they want to split?
  18. My thinking. There will be some new wrinkles LP can’t prepare for I’m sure. I was even wondering if he could pass at all. Neland (sp) is also a solid RB, and Angleton uses multiple. Their rush game is no slouch itself. Pretty sure LP was already thinking about using Smith also as DB or Safety, to shore up the defensive backfield. That’s what I would do if it was me. Maybe playing another RB where Ruffin could stay more focused on D. Rojas has played well. We’ll see.
  19. Ever noticed that the women complaining about having their SNAPS or EBT cut ain’t missed many meals? Kids will be fed at schools. It’s the home meals they miss. What a shame.
  20. Computer doesnt factor in injuries.... Wonder if Angleton throws out Jammer in some wildcat QB packages just to ensure he has the ball in his hands
  21. I think LP was caught in the trap game last week against Crosby looking ahead to this game. Almost cost them. Coaches didn’t give out POTW kudos for the game. I think the boys probably got an earful. Of course, like Stepp said, to be looking ahead & still win against a quality team in Crosby showed something in itself. It was ugly though. Even the band was a little late. The whole night looked off. Not sure DCTF computer factors in injuries.
  22. That time 4 tigers met him at the goal line and he still got in. Gets stronger every time I see him
  23. I watched the Texan Live broadcast Sunday. Tigers had a very difficult time tackling Jefferson. Had him bottled up several times but he powered through the tackles.
  24. DCTF has Angleton as a 6 point favorite. Stepp has LP by 5. He mentions the loss of the Angleton QB.
