Is AI going to kill us all eventually and take over the world?

One can always add I Robot, War Games, and Maximum Overdrive (Who Made Who). Seems not that far fetched. -

Terminator 3: Judgment Day -
That is classic quid pro quo negotiation. Democrats feel Russia sanctions were more important than giving Trump “limited tariff authority”. Trump and the Republican Party side with Russia these days, so they want more authority to keep inflicting harm on American consumers in exchange.
-
If I read it correctly (I didn’t read the article from the OP), it isn’t just against Russia but against the top importers of Russian oil and gas. However…. This shift in political posturing might not be so generous as it seems on the face of it. I read a couple of opinion articles about the concern that these sanctions might increase the cost of living on certain items. That got me to thinking. A couple of days ago I heard that inflation was the current number one issue for voters. Things like global warming and other issues might have been in the single digits. With the midterms rapidly approaching, what better way to possibly increase prices than to agree with Trump on tariffs? This seemingly goodwill gesture might not be so honorable. But it’s just a thought. I have not seen where anyone has brought that up.
-
If tariffs do not raise prices on the cost of food for Americans, why are we suspending them now? Unless they do raise prices, which Milton Friedman warned, and POTUS wishes to bring down costs. If that's the case, eliminate them altogether and lower prices on everything. Reminder, tariffs are a backdoor tax on American businesses and consumers. American importers pay the tariff/tax on the good at the port of entry, which is collected by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). That cost is then passed on to the American consumer. You. This is basic high school economics.

Crawford may be exactly what you think, and La Porte may be exactly what I was told—which is a much better offense and kicking game than 2024, and a better than expected defense even though they’re young. I’m going by LP players on the roster, and the former/retired LP coach’s take on the team right now. I haven’t seen them play yet this year.

Although we haven't played them in years, we don't have a losing record to WOS either but as of right now if we ever did play them they could change that.
-
I think Crawford is better than you think. Or maybe they're worse than I think. These week 1 games are always kinda tough. I know Crawford has some studs, and the jump they made last year from the year before was insane. I would expect for them to be even better this year, and wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get some transfers from the Fort Bend area after their success last year as well. Although from what you're saying LaPorte has made quite the jump as well.

That deserves a self imposed 24 hour ban. Sad. Just sad.

All the democrats and some republicans have cursed Trump up and down for his tariffs and how they raise prices. Funny what people will do when it serves them. [Hidden Content]
