'98 champs was kimbal over northshore!

NO. Just checked it..in 98 MIDLAND beat SA TAFT, and in 1999 Duncanville beat Kimball and in 2000  Duncanville lost to Klein Forest by 30!

No sir... in 2000 TJ Ford won it all!  And in 2001!  But HJ did not beat Central any of those years and I am determined to find the proof!

First it was HJ NEVER beat central and now it is that they never beat them in THOSE years.  What is it going to be?  HJ beat central in 96-97 and played them close in 97-98! PERIOD!

Are you trying to say the Kenyon Spears left and you got better the next year?  Central blew the Kenyon Spears team out.  I know that it was a transition year for central in 96-97, but losing to HJ is unlikely.  That year Central had no returning starters. I think the starting line-up was Kensly Barret, Chris Isadore, Skip, Dubie, and either Parker, NaShane, or Lee in the middle.  Juniors and sophmores with one unconfident senior.  That would have been the year to sneak a win... SO MAYBE... I still don't remember that!  That following we lost one home game to a lower classification school and that was Lincoln

Those years that you guys say HJ won was some of Centrals best years ever.  They were ranked in State both years... And you telling me that they had a 17 point loss to a 3A school and were rank?  No!  They were ranked as high as 15 in 97-98 and as high a 9 98-99 by the TABC

no central beat HJ  by 17...i played for Central not HJ

correction again: HJ didnt beat Central in 96-97 and the 97-98 game was not close at all. Central won by 17

I played on Spears team my sophomore year as well and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I am not saying we got better.  WHERE DID YOU SEE ME SAY THAT??  You guys said HJ never beat Central in anything and I am just proving you wrong.  HJ BEAT CENTRAL IN 96-97 by  1 at HJ.  That is it.  Can you understand that?????

Fine.....take one BISD school.......ANY of them.......HJ has 650 kids in the HS........how many does your school of choice have in it?

The smallest would have to be Central....They have about 1400 students...Please keep in mind that Houston Yates has about 1000 kids in their school and in boys basketball, would beat Westbrook by 50 and they have well over 2500 students there....Understand that counsel Nos.....Enrollment a minor detail in this case, although somewhat relevent, still minor. 8)

'97?  Though I don't remember this loss and I was in school there at the time, I will say OK but would like proof.  That was Coach Greens first year ther and he went with all Sophmores and Juniors starting and barely played the seniors.  No excuse because I don't remember the loss!

98? I don't remember a wire game here either and I did not miss a game that season, except for the Dr. Pepper Tourny in Dallas!  But if you say so!That was the year Central went to State...  I don't remember any close game with a local except for Westbrook.  I remember beating 4A Silsbee, Loincoln and Jefferson by a bunch.  Lincoln went to State that year too!  I think Kountze was there too... And yall played us close, huh?

I played in both games in 97 and 98.  Skip Jackson made a 3 pointer at the buzzer in 97 to make it a one point win for us and we were down double digits at the half in 98 at Central and closed it to a 2 point game with about 3 minutes to go and ended up losing.  I do not know what kind of proof you want but that is about as good as I can do.

I witnessed the game at Central also and it will absolutely kill the judge to hear the fact that Spinks "dropped 28" on the Central boys.

Spinks, let me know if he does because I would want some of that action too. I just got off the phone with Coach Green. Let's just say I am not betting against HJ on this. ;)

Okay somebody is lying and I want the truth. But it is very hard for me to believe that HJ beat central in a regularly scheduled game of basketball.

Forget it.  Bacbone reminds me of Ahmadinejad who also "knows" that there was no Holocaust.

This is hilarious.  The bad part is when I provide the proof(which will be a photocopy of the boxscore) he will be one wrong human being.  He will simply say that he does not remember. HJ beat central PERIOD!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

If that is what you believe happens, it simply reveals the methods you would use to convince someone you are right.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?

    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
