Ponies look awesome as expected. PNG is gonna have to tighten up that outside on defense. Rashawn can't run much because they can't hit the QB's, but he'll get there. Riggs looks good. Hughes is super fast, he just has to get some holes open. Our defensive inside looks good. Line backers are gonna be our strength. Offense gonna look a lot different this year, looks like.

Mark my words WOS does not give up more than 10 pts a game this year and wins state undefeated...never seen a team this good in a first scrimmage of the year...they are in mid season form for sure

Wow! That's a pretty strong statement! I couldn't be there, wish I could have been but how does the Wos offense look? I know it's just a scrimmage but why did WOS only score 19? They pull the starters? I mean no disrespect to Png , just an honest question .

PNG played sound on defense but yes offense dropped off after jack was pulled...PNG looked pretty good considering who they were playing...I think Johnson does big things for the Indians this year

Heard that JD was rested in the 2nd half of the scrimmage.

I've seen many of teams peak too early, example: Memorial 2014. Not saying WOS will have that type of year cause I expect them to win state, im just saying hold back on crowning them world-beaters after a practice.

PNG defensive line at linebackers are bigger and quicker than last year...tackling looks a lot better...they held their own

I figured that. From all the "talk" on our boards, PNG's Defense is supposed to be pretty salty. Like I said earlier, this is just a scrimmage so who cares but it gives opportunities to see what side of the ball is closer to being "up to par" first.

Roschons big brother was right! Without him png would be in a bad spot! Their punter/kicker is dang good with that wind too!

He isn't the whole team. I did see a few interceptions. Good QB but saying without him we would be in a bad spot is just absurd have you heard of Bost he would step in just fine. Riggs is a good punter/ kicker without the wind.

WOS nose guard is a beast

If it's Mandel King, he's a 4 year starter with a gazillion games under his belt. Actually, let's see.....in 3 years, he has played a total of 46 varsity games. So at the end of the regular season, he will have played and started 56 high school football games. That right there is crazy!!! If they can make another run all the way he will have played 62 Varsity games. That's amazing.

I didnt see the game but this was about what I expected scoreboard wise. PNG has to work on execution and timing, which is to be expected of a team in transition at a few positions. Lots of work ahead for my Indians but shout out to both WOS, the best team in Southeast TX, and PNG who is on their way.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
