What is the best football team in the past 5 years that came out of Tyler County?

 

Hmmmm...

 

These are the only schools in Tyler County that play football:

 

Chester

Colmesneil

Warren

Woodville

 

Tyler County Football for $200, Alex

 

This team was the best in last 5 years?

 

What is Woodville

  • This is a shame to. There are athletes in this county. There needs to be a culture change, it has to start at the top. Just cruise the halls of Tyler county schools. we have both size and speed the kids are willing but no one really puts forth an effort to show the kids how to be successful. It has to start with the parents and go all the way to the administration and coaches. Kids actually transfer out to find someone who will teach them. Lufkin Corrigan  benefit from these kids.   Those programs all have starters on their rosters from Tyler county. 1 Pro athlete actually lived his whole life in Tyler county and finally went to Corrigan to get quality coaching.

Chester made the playoffs last year. They should be district champions next year, with a chance to win the 1st couple of rounds.

They lost last year in the 1st round by 12, in a back and forth game. Lost 2 kids, both not critical.

isn't chester 6 man football?

Maybe the first round but no chance after that. Chester's district and district 15 were and are probably the two worst in six man.

Chase Ford definitely wouldn't have ended up where he is now staying in Chester though.

Obviously, the answer to the original question is Woodville. If you're looking for a specific team, I'd have to say the 11-12 team. Lockhart and Weatherford shared the QB spot that year. Solid O-line and the best TEAM Woodville has had in years. Just happen to run into Tatum in the first round.
Tyler County football isn't what it could be, but there's no doubt Woodville and Warren have taken steps the past couple of years to correct that. So we will see where it goes from there. Alot of athletes in Woodville. All it takes is bringing it all together and we could have a very good program.

I agree this county is not known for football those kids would rather have a ball and a bat in their hands.

But the only two teams that come to mind is

Woodville when Lockhart was at Qb
and the Colmesneil team last year

What are we meaning by "best"? If we're talking about head-to-head, there's no way last year's Colmesneil team beats the 11-12 Woodville team. Lockhart was also the QB when the team went 4-6 two years ago. I assume you meant the 11-12 team where he shared the job with Tyler Weatherford?
