What are the pros and cons about this job for the applicants to consider

You're taking over a team that struggled mightily last year, you don't get the AD title, and the politics are more important than your results. The only pro is that you'd be a head coach. Which is worth it for a lot of assistant coaches looking to get their foot in the door.

There wouldn't be enough money in Bridge City ISD for me to take this job. Seems like a bad situation to get in.

WestSabine - Tod Stark is a great Football coach

heard good things about Coach Stark.

They should give him a serious look he is a winner every where he has been. His father in law is Lidney Thompson the long time head coach and assistant at Newton and many other schools

Are you talking about Richard Briggs, currently serving as BC AD? If so, does he have any coaching experience, or does he just "interview well?"

I don't think Briggs is interviewing for the job, i think he is doing the interviews. I'm pretty sure he is in charge of the hiring committee. I also think the illegible name was a typo and was supposed to be DeShazo, who I would expect to get a good look from them along with the coach from Yoe and a couple of others.

Ask Ozen about that last year, just so happens they got a HC that did alot with less in a short time.

Word is that there have been multiple interviews this past week.  They have successfully kept things really quiet.  I am guessing that we wil hear something in the next few weeks.

I understand they are interviewing a coach who slept at the Holiday Inn Express last night. That should do it.
