  1. The defense has been pretty good since the 1st quarter.
  2. I don’t know about that call. The view from the back looks like he has control and then it get knocks out when he hits the ground. But maybe I’m a homer? The announcer said the same thing, though
  3. Even with Maryland scoring, that weather delay was badly timed for Texas. They’d owned the game for about 2 quarters leading up to it. I hope it doesn’t cost them.
  4. Well, for like a quarter and a half he was? Not so much lately, but there’s still time
  5. Big stop there.
  6. This was mine.
  7. To be fair, Maryland has a pretty decent team. They started last season 3-1, with that loss to “national champion” Central Florida, but played the rest of the season with a 3rd string QB. I think they’re a bowl team this year. They have some playmakers on offense.
  8. I read this title, and I noticed this misspelling of “scared.” But the more I think about it, “scarred” is probably just as accurate, if not more
  9. They must be hungry!
  10. I’m liking the fight back here
  11. Texas doesn’t look good at all. QB sucks, O-line sucks, defense is mediocre and allowing big plays. Hopefully they can turn it around. They were terrible against Maryland last year as well, and then did a lot of things throughout the year to give us some hope.
  12. Sabine pass wins 19-14
  13. Appears this is final, but not 100% on it
  14. Lovelady wins 48-6
  15. PNG in a blowout. 30+. Wait, is it too late to make a prediction? As a neutral observer, it’s always fun to read these long threads after the fact and see how wrong people were
  16. 49-0, final
  17. Beckville 19 Shelbyville 16 final
  18. King wins 16-14
  19. North shore won 35-21!
  20. Speaking of pass protection, Romo put up hall of fame numbers in a career where he had almost zero pass protection, a mediocre running game, and a defense that lost him multiple games a year where he put up 28 points or more. The shame for Romo is that when the cowboys finally put a line in front of him and a back who could run was when he started getting hurt. Dak is still young, but the team he struggled with last year was still way better than 90% of the teams Tony played with in his career, even with the Zeke suspension and the injuries to the O-line. I hope Dak gets it together, but I don’t see him being much more than a decent game manager.
