  1. If people keep voting for people who think they are too dumb to vote, then they are proving their point.

  2. They should. If a school chooses to run a kid out there before the case is final, they should assume the risk. Jmo.

  3. [email protected] Tom’s Track Volume 38, Number 1 Feb. 13, 2026 My apologies for missing last year. My wife passed away on Jan. 30, 2025 and your ol’ Bubba needed time to bounce back from that. I’m back but I should have sent out this opening installment sooner than this. I’m sure there are dozens of new high school area track coaches and athletes for me to learn in a big hurry. But I will give it my best shot. First, my new e-mail address is [email protected]. That is significant for all you folks who will host meets. I’m sure my attendance at some of these area meets will be hit and miss, and probably mostly miss. So please e-mail your meet schedules and your meet results before and after to this e-mail -- [email protected] As always, I will attempt to provide a list of area leaders as the information can be accurately determined. Thanks for your help because I’m sure I will need as much of it as possible. We begin with a tentative season schedule. Of course, these dates and locations are subject to change but here’s what I have as of Feb. 13. …. Let’s have a strong track season, tom halliburton if you would like to receive pdf-formatted updates in track season, please email [email protected] AREA OUTDOOR HIGH SCHOOL TRACK SCHEDULE FOR FEBRUARY Feb. 13 NEDERLAND BULLDOG RELAYS Feb. 19 PN-G JOE WILLIAMSON RELAYS Feb. 19 SPLENDORA WILDCAT RELAYS Feb. 20 CLEAR SPRINGS CHARGER RELAYS Feb. 20 DAYTON QUINN WOOD RELAYS Feb. 21 HUMBLE SAM MOSLEY RELAYS Feb. 26 BRIDGE CITY CARDINAL RELAYS Feb. 26 HAMSHIRE-FANNETT LONGHORN RELAYS Feb. 27 CONROE TIGER RELAYS Feb. 27 LAMAR CONSOLIDATED RELAYS Feb. 27 LIBERTY TRINITY VALLEY RELAYS tom track 1.pdf

  6. Orangefield school board has set a bond election for May 2 for improvements to athletic facilities. The improvements will be turf to football, baseball and softball fields as well as expanded seating, additional lighting and additional parking. Also new pressbox at the football stadium. These are much needed upgrades. Hopefully it will pass this time.

  7. This will backfire - ICE is funded through 2029 - not a thing Democrats can do! Shutting down DHS will inconvenience travelers and business travel...along with FEMA....and March starts Tornado season.....

  8. Hey maybe things will change for the good, I hope so but I am just voicing my opinion based on what’s happened up to this point from what I have seen. Believe me I love my country but I fear my government.

  9. I’m sorry you’re disgusted. Many of us feel the same. But, I warned you that you weren’t going to get the satisfaction you crave. There was never any way that a sizeable number of perps (foreign nationals) were going to face any kind of criminal charges in U.S. courts, or elsewhere. There won’t be any charges against Americans either after all of this theater. Shaming and ostracizing is the best you’ll get. Maybe some of them will decide to take things into their own hands. Who knows? Just keep your eye on the ball. There are only 3 key things we should wish from our government. National Security from foreign adversaries to protect our way of life. Freedom from government intrusion into our personal liberties. Manage our money wisely and frugally. Any other campaign promise is just bunk. Look for candidates that promise those basic things. They’re hard enough.

  10. You have no clue what is going on behind the scenes, just like me. You yourself have talked about the danger to the victims if this is handled wrong. Maybe, just maybe, this is being considered. Tons of material has actually been released, is it just simply moving too slow for you?

  14. Have for decades. No change here. Why do you think I want limited government? Every time I hear someone say they want the government to do something, I cringe. Remember Reagan’s Nine Scariest Words.

  15. Are you just now disgusted with our government?

  16. I can't say I blame you. I spent many years doing many things for this government of ours. It left me hanging out on my own on more than one occasion. I chose not to vote. You bringing up Benghazi hit close to home for me for a somewhat similar situation in the 80's. There was plenty of denial then as well. Now, I champion personal liberty and fiscal sanity. I'm not receiving either, and neither is anyone else. Regardless of Party. But, I can still hope. Maybe, there's still a chance we can get our government back to what was intended.

  17. It’s obvious the DOJ is suppressing truthful information and not investigating powerful elites from what I’ve seen over the years. Our government is broken. I’ll just leave it at that. Pretty disgusted at this point. The judiciary hearing the other day was a dumpster fire with Pam Bondi. What a embarrassment.

  19. I can’t count on both hands how many times I’ve been at a polling location waiting in line, seen a bus pull up and many folks who were down on their luck exit, get their paperwork to vote from the driver or their helper, and say they’ll get fed after they get done voting. I’m not sure who they were voting for…(/sarcasm)

  20. Apparently some women have the brains to complete all the paperwork to get married, but if they get a divorce they become stupid, and can’t figure out have to change their name back so they can vote……at least that is what several democrats claim

  22. Nonsense, it's not voter suppression. Only white liberals believe that the poor and downtrodden don't have the ability to get an ID.

  23. Why can’t the DOJ disclose it and let these powerful people come after the DOJ? Is that not the number one thing that our government is suppose to do? ….Protect Us.

Not sure where I got the info from at the time, as the post you're quoting is from 5 years ago. I said i got it from an article, but obviously I don't remember where the article was from at this point.

  25. Reason is a solid news and opinion magazine. Very trustworthy source. But, it will equally offend Dems and Reps on occasion. It’s a Libertarian publication that’s been around a long time. I recommend more people read it for a different viewpoint.

  30. I believe I have already agreed with you on this point but that is obviously not good enough, it’s not always about Trump. This administration has an opportunity to blow this wide open and they’re passing on it and hiding information from the public. Did you watch the judiciary hearing with Pam Bondi the other day? It was embarrassing and this was Trumps response. Trump is tone deaf! It’s not ALL about him! The law he signed called the Epstein Files Transparency Act got almost a unanimous vote from Republicans and Democrats which rarely happens. Donald J Trump “AG Pam Bondi, under intense fire from the Trump Deranged Radical Left Lunatics, was fantastic at yesterday’s Hearing on the never ending saga of Jeffrey Epstein, where the one thing that has been proven conclusively, much to their chagrin, was that President Donald J. Trump has been 100% exonerated of their ridiculous Russia, Russia, Russia type charges. Actually, it is the SLIMEBALL Democrats, many of them big Donors and Politicians, that have been proven GUILTY! “Republican” Loser, Sanctimonious RINO Congressman, Thomas Massie, made a total fool of himself yesterday, fighting aimlessly against a hopeless agenda of Hate and Stupidity, as most clearly stated by his crashing Job Approval Numbers in the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, where a Military Hero Opponent, Ed Gallrein, is crushing him in the Polls. He is now in “Wacky” Liz Cheney territory! Nobody cared about Epstein when he was alive, they only cared about him when they thought he could create Political Harm to a very popular President who has brought our Country back from the brink of extinction, and very quickly, at that! In fact, this attempt by the Democrats to take away attention from tremendous Republican SUCCESS is backfiring badly. Maybe they should focus on their quest to Open our Borders to the World’s Greatest Criminals, have Transgender for Everybody or, get Men, no matter their size or strength, to play in Women’s Sports. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP”
