Thankfully I have zero fingerprints on this Lufkin program, they do have some issues, but in watching the game again, United played an almost perfect game. Lufkin had about 400 yards of offense, but the United passing O was almost perfect. Abseck said it was the best game they had seen Bronson play in two years of film they watched..

For college football, I have always been a big proponent for no rankings until at least Week 4. When rankings are what puts you in the playoffs (unlike high school) then no team should have a "head start" at beginning of season. I never have issue with preseason rankings in high school because they have zero bearing on the season.

I mean, it's still WOS, and their losses are to 4A-D1 #5 Bay City, Carthage, and then if they lose to HF, a horns team that should arguably be top-10 right now.

Tough decision but shouldn't you want to stick with what's been working? The past 2 games the backup has managed the game pretty well and made some good throws when needed. Making that switch could mess up chemistry that they've built!

I said this before the United Game after I saw a NC team and their schedule. They played a tough non district schedule and the teams which they loss too are Montgomery (5-0) Cy Falls (4-0) RSS (4-1) They beat United in OT after holding them to 18 points in 4 qtrs. Heading into the 4th United had only scored 3 points coming off of a bye. Im not the sharpest knife in the drawer but seems like they are for real and playing defense. I took em as well this week in the picks to win over Lufkin. Top 3 Teams in District 1:PA 2:Laporte 3:RSS vs GCM this Friday will tell us the tale 4: New Caney vs Lufkin will determine if New Caney will hold this spot

You know, you should never take moral victories as a replacement for actual results but I was impressed by Crosby for about a quarter and a half against NS last week and thoroughly impressed by Crosby’s first half performance against the #9 team in the state. Can very well be said if we don’t fumble at the 5 yardline right there before the half this is a 17-10 game. May still get blown out as most would predict but the week to week progress from Coach Williams and company is impressive.

But while we’ve hammered the for so long and focused on their nuclear, they still have the ability to damage us greatly.
