It's a fine balance...doing stuff/offering a service costs money...you gotta pay for costs, workers etc...even back in the good old days people paid for newspapers and cable....internet ads just don't pay that much...Im glad we are fixing the favorite teams thing...wish I knew about that "feature" before launch lol

Im sick of paying for access to content on sites and every separate streaming service thats in use. Not just DCTF but local newspapers and Astros playoff games too. When will they realize internet and apps should be like radio. Nobody ever paid for that. Elon will make internet free for the entire world as soon as they have enough starlinks up. How? By selling ad space. Have a banner across the bottom at all times showing sponsors. Oh and while I'm on my soapbox. All public school broadcast should student produced like PNG. And be free for anyone paying taxes to that district. My taxes already funded the schools cameras and production equipment. And the bonds paid for the stadium, turf, locker rooms, indoor weight rooms, press box, and soon to be covered practice fields. But yet they still need my $9 to watch what I've already paid for.

I don’t disagree that good coaches have to adapt. But I think you’re confusing a system with a specific scheme. Nederland’s identity has never been about running the exact same plays or refusing to evolve. It’s about the standard: discipline, fundamentals, toughness, preparation, accountability and playing for the guy beside you. Every generation is different, and obviously you have to put your players in positions to succeed. But there’s a difference between adapting your scheme to your personnel and abandoning the principles that made your program successful. That’s really my point. Nederland has never needed to have the most stars in the district to compete. They’ve historically maximized what they had and made 11 players function as one. Schemes change. Personnel change. Coaches change. The standard shouldn’t. That’s what I mean by “the name on the front, not the back.

Sure wish it was over. Tired of every other commercial each calling the other a criminal. Sick of the texts asking for donations. Election cycles have stopped having cycles.

If the game was played like last night's game, then no. Both teams really played bad. One just played worse than the other. There really was no good play last night. Part of me saying Lufkin benefitted was due to all those penalties. Cost NC two TD's. I'll go down swinging saying this game was lost more than it was won.

Benefitted from what??? Lufkin went to New Caney and won an ugly game that NC had an extra week to prepare for. I'm glad you saved your money and stayed home, and no one made you waste your time watching the game. The game became ugly because the officiating would not let either team fart without throwing a flag. No official gets paid enough to be that participating in a HS game. New Caney holds a lot, their players got away with getting in the officials face twice without getting a flag. Lufkin took the NC bait too easy and then would not shut their mouth even when told on the sidelines to stop. I don't understand HS players. The bottom line is no matter what you say, Lufkin scored and New Caney did not and that's a win. You've talk so much about it must be a hurtful subject for you. Any team going into NC to play with that crew officiating is in for an ugly night of football.

Hate that this game is happening week 1 of district. There’s another week one game in this district that it’s looking like a playoff type scenario. We’re obviously talking hypothetical and I know alot can happen but the winner of HJ vs Sheppard could be for the 4th place and final playoff spot. I wish both of these games could have been the last week of the season!

Yes, I didn’t get to go to the game last night. My wife had other plans for us. I stayed off social media and watched it on Texan Live late last night. Man what a disappointing performance by both teams. The only score all night was aided by 45 yards of personal fouls.

Tough decision but shouldn't you want to stick with what's been working? The past 2 games the backup has managed the game pretty well and made some good throws when needed. Making that switch could mess up chemistry that they've built!
