With 9 weeks until the start of the football season, I decided to get the conversation started. After taking one of the worst if not the worst home loss in school history to PAM the PNG Indians were able to quickly get the train rolling behind their first-time and first-year head coach. They finish at Cowboy Stadium with a loss in the state title game. From the looks of it on this forum, Indian fans are gearing up for another great season with key pieces and big names returning. Across twin city highway the Titans were finally able to get the 1st round playoff loss monkey off their back after 2 victories and opening up the 3rd game with promise but eventually falling to Longview. This year's football team looks to be the most recruited class since the 2012 class with multiple players with D1 offers and might have the best player in the class of 2025 & 2026 in Setx. With each team opening up the season in the Top 10 PAM(8) & PNG(6) this game is shaping up to be one of the best if not the best games to watch in week 1 in the state of Texas.

Maybe if they're playing down to the 6 man level they would struggle against some powerhouse programs. But not for long. This is a perfect example of how 7 kids does not make an entire team. And I believe it shows the talent level of the individual players may not always be the best. They're success during the season is more that they are coached up by an amazing staff assembled by an already legendary HC. Carthage always has a great game plan and executes.

It's hard for me to believe that someone looks at the WH football program and thinks, "that's where I need to go to build my name". Taylor did as good with them as anybody could, and his upward progression was Colmesneil.

Trump has been ACTUALLY attacking female members of other peoples’ families and these guys have zero problems with it. Agree 100%. In this area there's nothing like this rivalry. It's covered and reported on like a big time college match up every year. Heck, I'm not sure if it's on TV but it should be!

PN-G and Nederland tops 13k just about every year. They have had in excess of 15k to 16k in attendance when a district championship or anything else of significants is at stake. This is the best rivalry anywhere. The atmosphere is unexplainable when these two take the field against each other.

I think you are both right. The cool thing about HS sports is that you can experience it the way you want to. A game at a time or a deep dive into stats and seasons projections. Or somewhere in between. Have your kind of fun with it.
