Woodville--Injuries & Discipline How well have we recovered from our injuries? Will we keep our cool after being provoked, which was a factor last year? For some reason Buna pushes a lot of buttons when they taunt, everygame has taunting but we seem to really not handle it from Buna Buna--New HC, New Scheme's Learning curve seems to be causing the program issues early this season or have they been holding back? Has the injury bug hit them as well causing the lack of offense? 0-4 Losses to larger schools OK but the lack of offense from Buna is puzzling they usually are at least competitive Usually a battle between these two Teams so I wouldn't expect anything less, Hoping for an injury free night as we Open District. EAGLES 24-14

22-8 Crosby when I left at 1:20 to go. Penalties hurt both teams. Dayton had two inside the 10 before half. One of which negated a TD. Crosby had 3 fifteen yard penalties in the third all of em on 3rd down with Dayton behind the sticks. A face mask, PI, and a unnecessary roughness hit out of bounds. Which lead to a Dayton TD.

Despite repeated claims to "not raise taxes on American families earning less than $600/year," They're trying to find unreported income from people who make ANY amount of money. Everybody's gonna have have to pony up their "fair share" in our new Socialist Utopia.

All that matters now is the score of the 9/24/21 game. In all honesty, I look for this game to be one of the better in the area. One of those lead changers & last one to score wins.

My understanding is that the vent is a treatment of last resort... they put the patient on a vent when they will literally die in minutes because of lost lung function. I mean, they could forgo the vent and just let them croak and that would help your 75% stat, but I doubt that the families of the 25% who do survive would appreciate that. That's a remarkable change from earlier in the pandemic when they thought vents were the answer. We're in much better shape now than we were in the summer of 2020 in regards to treatment. If we were still doing things the "old way" this summer the Delta variant would have many more victims.

Most of us are good sports and very respectful of other schools. We've never had a huge following on here for some reason. I'm not sure why that is, but we have good fans on here.

It is called a pretext stop or fishing expedition. The police can make a lawful detention or arrest but are not really looking for the reason of the detention or arrest. A police officer stops you at 2 AM with your license plate light out. Are you intoxicated? Do you have warrants? Does something in your car make it appear that you were committing a crime? Or perhaps the officer is really concerned about your license plate light out and the safety hazard you are creating….. Of course we will never know but there might be enough information for an arrest warrant for murder right now. Remember a warrant just needs probable cause (which is defined as, would a reasonable person believe, knowing what the officer knows) and nowhere near proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Even if they have enough information to technically get a valid warrant for murder, do you want to tip your hand or rush to do something that may be called into question later (was the probable cause for murder valid?) when you now have a legal felony on him? I would not read too much into a credit card warrant instead of a murder warrant at this point. It may be absolutely true that they don’t have enough for murder… but maybe…..

I remember through out the 90s everyone was scared to play Coldspring... Idk what's going on now when we get scared to play a smaller school. If I'm the coach I would of definitely scheduled not only Timpson but other tougher opponents

The problem with this story as with almost all of them, it came from the news media. It more than likely came from a press release by the police who released practically nothing any more. Why was the father not armed? The truth is, he might have been. Maybe the father showed up with a handgun but the guy turned and charged the juvenile and the father couldn’t shoot the suspect in the back, fearing hitting his son. That is one of just many “what ifs” but we have no clue what happened. When we say something like, well if I had been there….. In fact what you thought you would do may have been exactly what the father did. The media does not investigate anything, they don’t ask pertinent questions and even though a story might be several paragraphs long, it’s basically just a synopsis. When I was on patrol 25 years ago, if I showed up at a major crime scene there might be literally five reporters in my face asking me detailed questions about what happened. Sometimes I would release information and sometimes not but they were there digging. Now a patrol officer can be on the job for five years and show up at a major crime scene and never see a reporter. In fact most have never even spoken with one or had a question asked, even if the officer was not going to answer. The truth is there is almost no more news reporting. Most new stories are done strictly from police news releases, of which I have written many. I have seen several news stories in print and television media where the report was just copied and pasted from my news release. This is kind of an odd story and it would really be interesting to know what really happened, but we will probably never find out.

Nothing in high school sports is a real big surprise to me after all they are still kids. However, i will be somewhat surprised if this one is in doubt at the end. The tigers just have too much fire power and if we can run the ball like last week then we should counter the one thing that would work for OF, time of possesion.

Based on what I'm hearing that's been going on in the last 2 weeks, I believe BU handily takes care of Sterling. We still have lots of work to do, but I think we take care of business here. I have BU by 28.

While I'm still on the fence about legalizing it, although leaning more toward it now that my son is grown, alcohol is much more dangerous than weed. Plus since it is illegal, buying it puts you in contact with people that may be selling more than weed. Once legalized, I guess that last part won't be a problem.

I favor on the legalization side. After watching and talking to my now deceased grandmother about her pain and the hoops to jump thru to get her some pain relief I’m for it.

I felt like last year was the year for teams (besides United) to "get their licks in" on Silsbee. I honestly believe Silsbee is on the verge of another title run these next three years. I'll be watching that other 4A district as well. Huffman, HJ and Hamshire-Fannett should be fun to watch battle for the district title.

I wish it was a regular game. . We been trying to get this game going for like 3 years now…
