I just don’t understand why can’t it be both? There’s never any room for nuance in this subforum and it just blows my mind.. put in your big brain thinking caps racism very obviously still exists and more apparent now than in recent times, black people get the shaft when it comes to the legal system, etc.. but also, the black community needs to come together (on their own) and address a few major underlying issues including the single parent construct that’s running rampant (not that it’s a black only issue). Back to the topic - imo.. I do find it uncomfortable when white people who have had 0.5 black friends their whole life say the N word, even with an “A”. My Mom is an extreme liberal. This is as simple as liberalism gets. Followers do not want the specifics of what a candidate stands for, just want to know that the candidate is a Democrat. They just vote for the Democrat, regardless. Christian values, morals & common sense, all this gets thrown out the window. My Mom will not discuss, or defend her Democratic candidates. She states that"...I am a Democrat, I was in the union, the union said vote Democrat, so I do." If Satan was on the ballot with a "D" next to his name, committed liberals, regardless of their personal beliefs, will vote for him. She has turned me into someone who actually researches the plans, focus & policies of each candidate, running for any office, rather than blindly follow like a zombie one, or the other political party, before I vote. So for that reason alone, I am thankful for her poor example politically.

Thought the dunk count was 2 - 1 LCM. They must have got another one after I left with under a minute to play. Crazy how people in the stands don't get as hyped for dunks anymore unless it's something crazy. Back when I was in school any dunk would bring the entire crowd to their feet. No Sir, I actually like the fans from Silsbee. The coaching staff goes out of their way to stop and talk with me. The head coach has a VIP Seat waiting for me if I ever make it to Silsbee HS, (that's a long drive from Houston). Yates v Silsbee Games are good.

First off, this was a COVID-battered district 1. Hull-Daisetta (H-D is coached by former Grapeland coach Anthony DeCello who led them to state) 2. Evadale Things get interesting Deweyville had to win both meetings against Sabine Pass to claim the 3 seed. A split would force a play-in game. First meeting, Deweyville wins 40-34 at home. Second meeting, Deweyville hops on a bus to Sabine Pass and they pick up their second win in a day to claim the three seed. 3. Deweyville 4. Sabine Pass 5. West Hardin

The number of schools willing to host is VERY minimal.... With boys still playing.... some districts playing thursday games, make up games and seeding games...... finding gyms for games HAS BEEN CRAZY! This year has been tougher than the last 10 years combined from the coaching side.... I thought at the beginning of the year, there would be tons of teams flipping for home and home... There may be regional tournament games that end up as a flip for home and home....

Maybe they was thinking about traffic on 59 on a Thursday afternoon vs traffic on 10 to 73 on a Thursday afternoon. East Chambers would've been closer but I think HJ already playing there Thursday.

District is not tough. It’s just too heavy. That 4th spot should’ve been pretty easy to attain for a team like Memorial...
