Once Christian Thomas got in the game all that running Dalton was doing ceased besides 1 run in the 3rd qtr. He singlehandedly flipped the game defensively.

Nederland has no pass rush. PNG QB stood back there throwing darts all night. Nederland could have sealed a victory but two fumbles in a row on the same play call was their demise. It comes down to continuing to give your opponent additional chances. You can’t do that and expect to win, especially in such a rivalry game.

I saw the last few minutes of this game. Although the flag was late, the correct call was made. It definitely was a pass interference/defensive holding.

These officials need to get their stuff together. This game is being so poorly officiated.

22-7 huffman wins. they did open it up in the second half a little. Splendora scored on a Hail Mary to make it 14-7. The onside kick bounced, HH kid jumped up, snagged it and ran in a TD to make it 20-7. 2pt conversion run and its 22-7. Splendora was done with 1:42 left in game. Huffman put a lid on the best RB in the district and played with their big dogs up front. Played big when it mattered.

Memorial did a great job after being tested and dealing with some 1st half adversity, to come in the 2nd half to takeover the game. Now they just need to continue to play smart and don't let teams bait them into those bs penalties......good win Titans.

Big question mark. I’ve seen two different Vidor teams. They can play with most anyone when the “I want to win” Vidor team shows up, and the other team, “What are we doing here?”, can’t seem to play with anyone. At Livingston, they didn’t Pop out of the huddle to the line. Was that planned? Didn’t appear to have enthusiasm. There must be something going on behind the scenes. Hope they (Coaches? Players? Whoever) gets it squared away. They have the Horsepower, someone just needs to hit the gas pedal. Sure you’ve seen the same thing at PAM on occasions.

It would have to be rated TVMA from all the sexual assaults that would have to be included.

Now if the band would have been there, I’m sure it would have pulled us through. We would have definitely beat Livingston, they are an unstoppable farce.

Officials nitpicked PNG the entire game. I don't have a lot of sympathy for anyone claiming the officiating was against Nederland. That last penalty was significant, but the officials were AWFUL all night, and Nederland benefitted from it as well. In the end, PNG made one more play. That's almost always how this game goes. And as poorly as PNG tackled, Nederland had plenty of chances to score.

I agree with all this. BV is much better than that score indicates. They shot themselves in the foot all night but they have some talented kids. They played hard til the end too.

I've watched enough HS football as have a lot of folks on this board to know when you see speed. Every game I've watched this year EC looked to have the fastest 2 kids on the field and probably 7 or 8 of the fastest 10. Thanks Beaumont and thanks to the rest of SETX for being so bad to make EC look so good. I'm sure that's what it is.

I don’t post often but want to throw in my two cents. Livingston has performed exceptionally well this year, and has gotten progressively better each game. We’ve won 5 straight and rather handedly over Splendora last week. I’m not going to lie and say I know much about how good or bad Vidor is this year, but on my biased paper Livingston is looking like the better pick in the jungle. in response to a couple of posts earlier in this forum: Livingston should be 6-1 and lost last second to Needville. Our QB has lived in Livingston his entire life. I’ve known him and his family since he was young. Y’all can dog Livingston all you want, because we haven’t been good in a decade- I think we’ve only had one season of .500 ball in the last 10 years, but give this group the credit they’re due. Moving down divisions and playing in a weak district helps, but to take the steps to overturn a tradition of lack luster football that this group has is difficult and rewarding for them to be a part of and enjoy.

We're talking about this year. And if the game was in Vidor, I might feel different about the outcome. But the game is in Livingston and the Pirates have the long bus ride. Hence why I'm picking Livingston.
