  1. Nederland has lack of leadership, no offense or defensive lines, and coaches cannot coach these kids up. Starts from the top. Most of these kids have already checked out. With that being said Nederland wins this one easily. Then Saturday they will think they are back to their winning ways. Possibly will be last win of year for these coaches and kids.

  2. Yea, time to fix some issues and move on. We needed that kind of game to expose some things that were not exposed in the first 4 games. Better to get them addressed now so we can have a chance of winning 4 out of the next 5 games. A loss to WB doesn't change my confidence in this group of coaches to get these kids refocused on the task at hand. My preseason prediction of 8-2 overall and 5-2 in district is still in play...

    Nederland @ Dayton

The coaching hasn't changed since the previous seasons, including the last two under Barrow so stop it. Like I said a couple of weeks ago, its time to move some JV lineman up and give them the chance.

  7. If I was actually betting on this game, in a pick em, I would have to go with King. Now, to be fair, Kings defense didnt see the same Bruin offense that United saw, so it wouldn't be fair to sat the United defense is not as good as Kings. But, after seeing both King, and United play, I would give the edge to King. However, I would like to see United win.

  8. Good solid win for the Bruins, the only thing that I seen that they need to shore up is there PAT kicking. United was able to block a few and that could be costly down the road somewhere for them.

He needs to work on the deep ball as well. Anything he can throw in rhythm he does really good. If he has to drop back and lay it out to someone he seems to put a lot of air under it.

  20. The kid who was snapping on FG's was playing his very first game of the season, and had only practiced a few days this season. He is one of the kids who was in the wreck. Being his first action, coupled with a wet ball for much of the first half may have been the issue. He will get it together with more practice/reps. The QB Yowman was snapping on FG's earlier in the season, and it was working fine, but too risky to have your QB doing that. They will get it corrected. Also keep in mind that barring a setback, arguably the Top RB (Holland) in the area will be back in a few weeks, so this WB offense has the potential to be even more scarier moving forward. The other younger RB's has filled in very well, but Holland is special and he is a huge mismatch in the passing game against most anybody's Linebackers. Another weapon is on the way.

I was poking fun but if you wanna be serious I can be. Firstly what do you mean by "blind follower"? Are you referring to me NOT openly questioning EVERYTHING that a program does? Does that make me a blind follower or does that make me someone who has better things to do than write a dissertation on how a football program should be run? Secondly, has it ever occured to you that this website would be the last place anyone ever would get info on how to run a program? Lastly, I get everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when you come on here and put a program/coaches through the ringer, when in reality, they don't deserve it, I will come defend them and poke fun at you because I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. You make assumptions based on your bias, not facts. Programs put their team in the best spot to win. For some reason, Lumberton is held to a crazy high standard compared to other places. Why? IDK, but it is evident when you got a guy who bashes the program so hard. You must have a family member or close friend with a kid on the team, or you wouldn't be so adamant on blasting them so much.

  25. He's the best true PG from this area I've ever seen/coached. He did play a short stint with a "national based team" but politics got in the way with some Houston kids that he was clearly better than so he went back local. In my opinion, it hurt him temporarily, but once school ball kicks off and BU makes a deep run, there will be many programs offering him to start day 1 like Lamar is. That's really what it's about for him. He just wants to play.

  26. Still too early to tell. All WB needs is for Deer Park, or Channelview, to get in, and the Bruins go D2. If the playoffs were to start today, that's exactly what would happen. Crossing my fingers, because we dont really want to go D1.

  27. He is a heck of a player who, in my opinion, does not get the recognition he deserves for such varied (but poor) reasons as " he didn't play AAU with a national type team " and " he doesn't have a state championship on his resume"

Second whistleblower crawls out of the septic tank. Unless I misread, both are “intelligent types”. See a pattern? Look at the list of Big Russian Collusion advocates - Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Strzok, Horowitz, and Page. The Dems are trying to keep their identities secret. 41. Everyone knows Orangefield is the underdog. Do they have a shot at winning this game, yes they do but like in most high school games they can't turn the ball over and need to get a few breaks. Orangefield is pretty banged up right now but I'm sure EC is too. I know their QB is out but looks like the replacement has stepped it up. Let's hope for a hard fought and injury free game.

  42. If I were to become involved in that brawl, I would be dead on the spot! Other that that, If I were the coach/Principal/Supt., I would suspend the players involved with this massive incident. This is so uncalled for! Sports are to teach people values and skills like working together as a team and good sportsmanship! Playing football and other sports are considered privileges! By putting on that uniform, you are representing your school, the community, the State, and the United States of America! It is time for everyone to be held responsible for what they do on and off the field!

Didn't know this, but, yes there is. Here is a primer: 10-SECOND RUNOFF WHEN IT APPLIES: Þ It must be in the final minute of the second or fourth quarter. Þ The clock must be running. Þ Before a change of team possession. 1. A foul is committed which immediately stops the clock (prevents the snap). OR 2. A player’s helmet comes off (not the direct result of a foul) and is the only reason the clock is stopped. OR 3. A player is injured and is the only reason the clock is stopped. THE OPTIONS: Þ The offended team may accept or decline the 10-second subtraction. Þ If the 10-second subtraction is accepted, the game clock will start on the Referee’s ready for play signal. Þ If the 10-second subtraction is declined, the game clock will start on the snap. Þ The 10-second subtraction may be declined while the penalty yardage is accepted. Þ If the yardage penalty is declined, the 10-second subtraction is declined by rule. Þ The team to whom the 10-second subtraction is being applied may avoid the 10-second subtraction by utilizing a remaining time out. Courtesy: TASO - SFA Chapter

    West Orange Stark vs Silsbee

If Silsbee don’t make some adjustments and utilize the talent they have walking the sideline they are in trouble. They can’t rely on their run game to win this. Not agains the Mustangs defense. It’s going to be like playing Newton all over again.
