  2. Besides scheming Memorial to make Tank King cover, there were many a defensive snap which King et al were looking for the signal/play so at each level there were mis-aligned. Luckily Tank didn't give up on the final play and the DC Private School cover boy was stopped short. Best QB Memorial will face not with just talent but being coached up by Micheal Bishop #iykyk
  3. I guess with the Stangs losing and Southlake Carroll winning last night they shaved some more off the narrow lead that WOS had. Hate to be a pessimist but with the schedule ahead of them I’d say by the time district gets here WOS won’t be the leader anymore
  4. Never seen a team shoot itself in the foot as much as Duke has today
  5. Well Said 31. I think the defense will get better; however, the offensive line needs a lot of improvement. The receivers need drills no running plays just throw and catch but what do I know.
  6. That was a correct statement. Those situations are not coached much. How many periods do you think should be allocated towards something that almost never happens? HS practices are very limited in time. There are many things that receive coaching time in college/NFL that are practiced minimally or never in high school.
  7. WOW!!!! 653 total yards and 6 TD's!!!! 38 pass attempts with just 8 incompletions. Incredible!
  8. Long year ahead for Lee. They don't have quite the same selection of athletes they have had the last 7 or 8 years. They aren't as crisp and swarmy on defense as they have been. It's a one man show for them. #2 played like Superman to get them within 50.
  9. Henderson stats from Last night • 30-38, 537 passing yards • 5 TDs • 6 rushes, 116 yds • 1 TD
  10. Wow. That is a horrible take!!! LMAO. You seriously can’t be that serious. Kneeling the ball aka Victory formation. I’m 100% every HS in America has that play in their playbook. Spiking the ball is part of the 2 minute offense. Come on now… it’s been coached. Like I said before and say it again… WOS got out coached by MILES. WOS needs a major shake up and fast because they are moving to middle of the pack school and early exits out the playoffs. Not up to their standards by any means… watching the game I saw so much things going on that was uncharacteristic for WOS… but I’m guessing this has became the “new normal”
  11. Maybe .. first two games and understanding that secondary might struggle... 5 Sacks 14 TFLs Inside the 20 the Tiger defense gets tight as that LB Corp doesn't have to worry about drop coverage as much. Once that young secondary recognizes that that front seven can handle the run game they will get better on pass defense. Better not hold on to that ball very long. I also know that there will be better passing teams by talent but blocking a front seven that can ALL get after it for 4 qtrs due to depth? Jmo
  12. Today
  13. That’s surprising, I believe you had the same predictions for district last year too. Great insight 🤦🏻
  14. I agree. Unfortunately the scenario needs to be practiced because we have been in this situation many times. A real QB coach is needed... how about one of the best we ever had here? That mid 90s class had some born leaders. Don't believe me? Ask the new school board President from co 96. I believe this is strategic to the future of our program as well. #EArnit Come home and help right the ship. You'd be like royalty here in the Fruit. Imagine wearing that blue and silver crown everywhere u go. With all the love and respect that comes with it. These guys have no idea what they could've had here with the traditions that were installed before they arrived
  15. Get ready Chicago, help is on the way whether or not your leaders want to help get your city safe or not!
  16. Man, I sure hope I don’t get an “Up Yours” for posting this. Maduro is toast.
  17. Man them kids looked confused all game on defense, very different from last week. It'll get fixed.
  18. Lumberton isn't bad at all. I'm not sure why everyone says that. Vidor is potentially the weakest team in the district this year. I think Livingston is clearly improved but I wouldn't crown them district champs just yet but you better pencil them in as a playoff team. Their week 1 opponent was a very weak 6A school but beating Needville is a damn good win. I have no idea what to make of HJ other than they will be better than last year with vastly improved skill players who are dangerous. Bridge City will be a mystery until they play some quality teams that test them. Clearly the defense will still be stout. Did LCM's QB play last night? Can't really judge them at all until he is on the field. So far Liberty has looked below average and shouldn't be a threat in the district at all. Huffman's offense will score a ton of points all year even though they are down 2 of their top WRs right now. Their defense is the X factor in this district. If it's solid they are the favorites, if it slips it's up for grabs. I THINK the LaMarque loss isn't as bad as it looks because LaMarque apparently had 8 move in starters. Next week will tell more when LaMarque plays Hitchcock. I think this year will be a lot tighter than last. We probably won't see any undefeated teams.
  19. Definitely not the Donkey Stompin that I predicted it would be. Defense hasn't usually been a weakness for the Titans at least the Titans I know and love. Hope they get whatever the problem is fixed. A lot of football left to do just that.
  20. There are situations in football that usually never happen too much such as Spiking the ball and kneeling the ball so it isn’t coached that much but all phases of football should be practiced just in case that situation with Wo-s qb was very unfortunate but teams are usually not put in that in that spot it was a mental lapse with no time outs and they are rushing to get to the line of scrimmage you can go through 4yrs of football and never see situations like that so many teams may not think about that even though they should I don’t fault the Quarerback coaching staff needs to tighten up and be prepared for anything and teach all phases of the game.
  21. I remember that game, it was in Beaumont. @BMTSoulja1 was very upset. 😁
  22. May be their only hope! LOL!!
  23. The first game BU went up some big number in the first quarter. PNG’s defense was atrocious. I think it was 24-0 at one point. BU still managed to lose. I will say that BU looked much better than the last couple years defensively. The turnovers are what put them in the hole so fast. If they simply kept the ball this would have been a closer game.
