The new norm at WOS is celebrating a district championship like it was a state championship. Wos avoids La Vega in rd 2 so hopefully they can go 4 rounds this year.

Crumedy is now 22-24 in his 4 years as HC at Jasper.

I’m glad they won the DC but as stated above that’s just the basics here. Very happy for the kids that’s been putting forth the effort. But somehow something still seems off. They may be winning but not in the Mustang fashion we’ve been used to the last 40 years. Speaking to folks associated with various schools across the triangle, they don’t have the fear or respect for WO-S that they used too. When they see u on the schedule they don’t automatically think well that’s a loss that week anymore . But having said all that, Go Mustangs! Congrats on the district championship.

Same to y’all. I just wish the D wasn’t so hot & cold on wrapping up. Of course, I have to remember the secondary is still mostly underclassmen even if talented. Just frustrating when they can be so awesome one minute, and pull a bonehead move the next. Weiss is going to really test the secondary.

Had a hell of tailgate today. I smoked a pork butt and 3 racks of spare ribs. Started on that butt at 11pm last night. Ribs at 6am. Was awesome along with that Lamar win.

I think Springer/Stringer? (Sp) did better at QB last night. He did nothing to cost y’all & actually played pretty well IMHO. The Jammers need to be used as much as possible like we said pregame. They’re ballers. But, may have to do like LP with Ruffin, and spot play in situations. You need them on D as well. Keep ‘em busy. They’re young. lol La Porte didn’t really know what to expect from y’all. Crosby had a chance to view, and still couldn’t stop you…and they have a solid D. Y’all aren’t done by any stretch. Crosby may also rebound. (If some of their fans don’t get the coach run off first. 😬.) Crosby is steady. Not explosive. LP had Simon & Ruffin both at/over 250 against y’all. Well over 500 yards rushing. LP’s late TO’s let y’all back in the game. That, and LP’s arm tackling that they seem to have issues with every now and then. LP’s thrown INT in y’all’s end zone, and the fumbled KO gave y’all a lot of momentum late. LP needs to finish better. Quality opponents from here on out.

Nice win today. Have to go on the road and play a tough SFA next weekend. SELA and SFA caught a break in that they don't play each other.
